Enjoy this half-day tour through unseen parts of Bangkok away from the hustle and bustle of tourist trails. Learn and see how daily life passes by for Bangkokians as you explore part of the Thai capital which you will never see on your own and brings you to colorful places using an almost traffic-free route.
  • Escape Bangkok's bustle on a bike tour
  • Explore in a small group for a more personalized experience
  • Stray from the beaten path to avoid crowds
  • Choose from a morning or afternoon departure
What to Expect
Your tour begins at a central Bangkok location, where you’ll greet your guide and get to grips with your bike. Once you feel confident, you’ll head away from the city’s bustling center and cycle past villas to a local community, where you’ll have the chance to interact with residents and learn about their way of living. On arrival at the Chao Phraya River (Mae Nam Chao Phraya), you’ll board a traditional Thai long-tail boat and cruise over to what’s considered the green lung of Bangkok. After exploring the verdant area, you’ll stop for a traditional Thai meal and visit a Buddhist temple that attracts few crowds. After a stop at an open-air Muay Thai boxing school, you’ll return to your original departure point in central Bangkok.

After a start in the middle of hectic Bangkok, Paew took me to the slums of Bangkok and explained the plans the government has with these parts of Bangkok, very interesting to see this unseen part of Bangkok complete with a visit to a kindergarten with the little kids ready to

I cannot believe that I was convinced to try this based on a litany of positive reviews! 3-out-of-8 people on my tour were injured - including myself; sprained thumb, badly smashed up legs (*see unaltered photo) and ripped shorts/gouged thighs from a piece of metal jutting out

Dear eightfold, Thanks you so much for leaving a review. Although not the best one, we're open for criticism and comments and will always try to do better. We do understand understand that traffic can scare some people. That's our main reason we are avoiding main roads and cycle through alleys and back-street doors. Most people love this but obviously not you. The other side of the river we cycle on concrete pathways "floating" 1,5 meter above the ground in a jungle like area. Most of these pathways have a fence on one side. You do can fall down if you are not paying attention. But here again, people love this part. Obviously this tour wasn't for you, and I feel sorry about it. Perhaps it would have been better for you if you would have done our walking and rickshaw tour. Something you could consider next time when visiting Bangkok. I'm sure you will enjoy that better. We're keeping track of bicycles used and I just checked all female bicycles used on that day of the tour and checked the seats. 3 of them have a new seat (changed 3 months ago) so that must have been something else. We are operating this tour for 15 years and never had a serious accident. Besides a scratch or a bruise. That would have been different if the tour is as dangerous as you describe. Oh, the park we're visiting and feed the fish like roach, carp and similar no-one and I mean no-one ever, ever got bitten. Anyhow, I hope you had great stay in Thailand and will have beautiful memories that will stay with you for ever. Kind regards, Andre Breuer
