Guides are entertaining and competent. Their English is the best in Thailand I heard so far.
The hiking route goes uphill and can be hard if you are not fit. The guides will insert breaks so everyone in the group succeeds the challenge, though.
The mountainbiking is hard as hell if you are not a beginner. But you can walk down the challenging sections.
The "restaurant" in the heart of the jungle offers an amazing view and very delicious nuddle soups. Enjoy!

We were glad we did a combo hike and ride. Hiking allowed us to appreciate the view and terrain more as we hiked up and down along a small hiking trail. We could also talk with our guides who were knowledgeable and friendly.

The downhill bike ride was for intermediate riders. However the only person to not slide out at least once was myself and I’m an advanced mountain biker (one endo). So you want to error on choosing an easier level of ride if you are not sure about anyone in your group. Now they did give everyone gloves, arm guards, and shin/knee guards. One negative is the tires are not knobby off road tires so this contributes to the riders needing to know how to go downhill on a slippery trail.

Views were super and the village stop was great. Good food too. etc.

First of all: This will be grueling for novice hikers and inexperienced bike riders. (Let me explain)

Bring a backpack, although they have loaners. No need to bring bottled water, they provide plenty. A bandana or scarf for under your bike helmet is a good idea. We were given a chance to stop at 7-Eleven and stock up on trail snacks (not sure if that's routine).

The hike immediately puts you into some dense jungle terrain, ducking and climbing over felled trees that block the path. It's a lot of uphill/downhill where footing is to be taken cautiously. Bring bug spray, ideally the sweatproof kind. I'm still a fairly novice hiker of North America parks; the trails here are comparatively intense. I found myself scrambling on all fours at times. Our guide at the front and his aide at the rear ensured we didn't wander or fall behind.

Our group actually went on to complete the trail in record time... a sweaty endeavor that yielded no real reward besides bragging rights here on tripadvisor.

The views were decent, with cloud cover occluding the furthest details in the distance. At the top of the mountain, the hill tribe village was remarkable. We were served a delicious meal but didn't have the chance to explore the village. It wasn't exactly a tourist attraction. Farmers really live up there.

The guide was prepared with pads and gloves for the biking portion of the tour. The bikes were in good condition and they had tools on hand to make quick repairs as needed.

I grew up riding mountain bikes around a city, and as an adult ride a single speed a few times a month. I'm otherwise inexperienced with downhill mountain biking. I went cautiously at my own pace and was nervous for a lot of it. Some amazing views on the the southern face of the mountain, all though most of my time was spent staring intently at the bike path.

Gravel, jagged rocks, ruts in the road, dust and sand, and stretches of inexplicable cement tiles made the bike path a non-stop challenge. Our group endured several falls during the trip. Padding and tenacity were the best defense. We frequently stopped to regroup and assess the road ahead. Our guide knew it well and was able to keep us vigilant and safe. Note: road was also open to cars. We encountered maybe four.

After a punishing six-hours of exertion and apprehension, the sense of achievement is real. You're greeted with a meal at the edge of a lake, and genuinely feel like you've conquered a mountain. Take pictures when you get the chance, or wear a GoPro. You'll leave with a story to tell, guaranteed. Get a massage the next day.

Lovely hike for about 2.5 hrs through the forest. My guide ‘A’ was informative and knowledgable. The hike takes you to a lovely cafe porches high on the mountain with a stunning view and great coffee from the villages own beans, freshly ground. Then the decent, not for the faint hearted but very much doable for someone with some mountain bike skill, but ‘A’ will help and never pressured. Finish up some 2 hours later for a bite to eat next to the lake. All in all a great day with a sense of achievement, some stunning scenery and good guidance. Thanks

I would do this again in a heartbeat! The hike up the mountain was breathtakingly beautiful and our guide, Jane, had an excellent eye for the hidden beauty of flora and fauna, as well as sensitivity to the pace and interests of our group. The Hmong village stop for noodles (and add in a fabulous coffee!) was perfectly timed so that we could watch the mountain downpour from under a roof. Then time for biking! It's a true mountain biking experience on well-maintained bikes. The rain let up as we set out, and we had the fun of mud, puddles, as well as rocks and turns to navigate on the steep downhill ride. Again, Jane's guidance was critical! The delicious Thai meal in a lakefront hut ended a perfect adventure.

We chose the 'short trip' because we had to be back at the hotel by 5pm. As it was, we kept our pace up and got back just in time. The trip is 6 hours of hike and bike, but add in the time for travel and orientation. Although the trip is listed as beginner, you need biking experience and hiking stamina. Boots are better than tennis shoes as the trail is slippery in places.

Im a 42 year old woman who has never mountain biked before, but after this trip I think I am addicted now. 'Bomm' the guide was lovely and so helpful. We hiked up through the forest, was awesome, it's only 10 K's and they offered us an easy route along the ridge, which was only about 6 km. I felt like they would have accommodated any request, they were sooo helpful. They picked me up out of the way, made sure everyone got back to their hotels.
we stopped for soup lunch after the walk, and then we biked for one and a half hours and then they fed us again and drinks.

It's a full day (& I'm fairly fit) and they give u test runs on the bike and tell u if they don't think u will make it. Then they can give u easier options. They were generous with water, definitely take two water bottles , maybe three. We had a little rain, but that make it more special.
Wear an old shirt, the mud flicks up and u will be covered in red dots. You can get off and walk anything ur not OK with riding up or down and the guides were great about it. It was great to push myself and feel so alive again, I felt invigorated after this day and wanted to book and go again, u will be hooked too. Enjoy.

If you are not the type of person to want to push urself and try new things, this may not be the tour for u, the mountain biking was a bit scary at the start, but then I listen about using brakes equal, leaning my body weight back and even on my legs and it was amazing feeling. if u are the type of person to have fears and decide u will have a go anyway, u will love this and get great rewards.
Take bug spray, u get all safety gear.
Thank you wonderful staff team

This company and specifically my guide, “A”,is amazing! First off, the company is very professional and keeps their equipment in top shape. The hike is not too difficult and not too easy, a good mix of downhill and uphill with primarily ridge line trekking. I had never been mountain biking before, and it was a great intro! “A” was very perceptive and understanding; after a brief safety and mechanics to biking talk we blitzed down the mountain. I felt comfortable the entire time, and also felt safe enough to push myself a bit. He was also very funny and we had some great conversation during the hike. Definitely a great trip for some exercise and adrenaline!

I booked this trip for my husband and I because I knew my husband would love it and I wanted to finally try downhill mountain biking. It was such a fun day! The hike was quite steep and the guides keep quite a good pace. Make sure you are in good shape to book this trip. We finally stopped for lunch about 3 hours in and we were very excited for a well deserved lunch. The guides Da Nai and Ai were so supportive and both had a great sense of humor too. One of them always stays at the front to guide you and one at the back to make sure nobody gets lost or gets hurt. I had never ridden a mountain bike downhill before and was truly terrified at times but Da Nai talked me through it and gave me great tips. He made sure we all got down safely and knew who should take the tougher passes and who should stay on the main path. They were so knowledgable and friendly to everyone. It was a memorable day that we will never forget!

Folks,
I’m not going to go into great detail on the trip as some other reviewers have but rather highlight some important points. This is an exhilarating adventure that will not leave you disappointed.

First of all, our journey was led by three excellent guides named Jane, A, and Arm. These three were with us from start to finish, finding ways to challenge us and also support us during the trek. Make sure you take advantage of these excellent guides in anything you need. Are you feeling the hike was way harder than you imagined and want to find another easier route? Just ask. In our case our group was a mix of younger and older. In my case I’m a 47 year old who I would say is moderately active. I was able to accomplish this adventure and would encourage anyone who feels they can do three hours of strenuous activity with breaks to do this tour.

You will be crawling under obstacles, you will be scrambling up very steep climbs on all fours, you will be wondering when some of it will end. But mostly this is a nice uphill hike for 90% of the time. The first half of it is the hardest so if you make it to the waterfall and the climb that follows that, just know the hard part is over.

Then comes the bike descent. This is not something I would recommend for someone who is not comfortable on a bike. But if you feel you know how to handle a bike, and importantly know how to use brakes, then it is definitely worth it! Pay special attention at the very beginning where they test your abilities. If you cannot do the test like they ask, you should not attempt the downhill. The downhill is harder than the test.

You will end this adventure feeling wholly accomplished, satisfied, and drained. The guides make this adventure what it is, and they are experts there for your safety and fun. Can’t say enough good things about the guides. They are the ones who make this exciting, fun, and achievable. Thank you Jane, A, and Arm!!

Yesterday I joined three people in their 20s for this tour. I'm way way past 20s. I found the 2.5 hour uphill hike followed by the 2.5 hour downhill mountain bike ride a lot of fun and quite physically demanding.

The scenery and mountain views were incredible, matched only by the attentive service of our three guides and one driver. After one of our group (me!) had a minor fall on the mountain bike leg, they provided first aid by cleaning and disinfecting my scraped elbow. The provided knee and elbow pads helped minimize the damage. I was pleased with the quality of the mountain bikes, too.

This is a great tour if you are either young, in great physical condition, or both. It gives you a glimpse of Thailand you won't see from a tour bus, plus some great exercise. Recommended!
