- thoalam0 contributions2 days one night Ko Phi Phi tourThe tour was well organized and the pick up and drop were a bonus. However, we were joined with a Russian traveller with a Russian tour guide; therefore, we felt left out because we did not get full information about the tour. We had a Thailand group leader who informed us about the schedule for the activities. His name is Pia and he was very helpful.Written 1 December 2024

- jasonmA1466UF0 contributionsHighly recommend this tripOur family had an unforgettable experience on the James Bond Island tour from Phuket! From the moment we were picked up, everything was so well-organized. The speedboat ride was exciting, and the kids loved the canoeing through the caves—it was such a unique way to explore the natural beauty of the islands. The guides were friendly and made sure everyone was having a great time. Lunch was delicious, with plenty of options for everyone. Every stop offered stunning views and great opportunities for family photos. Highly recommend this trip for a fun-filled adventure!Written 8 October 2024
- irya19950 contributions5 starsI had an absolutely incredible experience on the James Bond Island tour! The speedboat ride was thrilling, and the two canoeing sessions through the caves were breathtaking – such a unique way to explore the natural beauty of the area. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The buffet lunch was delicious with plenty of options. Every stop offered stunning views and amazing photo opportunities. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in Phuket! 5 stars all the way!Written 28 September 2024
- V9316KTsammyb0 contributionsDisappointing Charter Experience: Overpriced and UnderwhelmingWe paid a hefty 32,000 baht for a charter, expecting a better speedboat experience. Unfortunately, the boat we received was a standard speedboat that you could easily find in Rawai Beach for half the price. We were also disappointed with the lack of amenities. The tour only included a buffet lunch with limited options, and no light breakfast or evening snacks were provided. Additionally, when we requested a vegetarian option, it seemed like they had to outsource it and weren't prepared. We recommend booking directly with a boat company instead of going through an agency like this. It's likely you can get a better deal and more personalized service. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the value for money this charter provided.Written 30 August 2024
- JemmaJ9480 contributionsA very long day!!!!A very long day. We didn’t realise that the drive from Phuket to the port would take 2 hours each way!!!!! Then 75 mins over on the boat begins first stop. Gorgeous islands and snorkelling was fab but not sure trip was worth the money. Food was awful too. Flies everywhere. Crew were friendly and animated. Would we book again, probably not but nice experience xWritten 4 April 2024

- prakharmody0 contributionsBeautiful experienceThe buses for hotel pickups were very comfortable and luxurious. The initial check was very smooth. The meals had limited vegetarian options but were good enough. Love the fact that they give bands which allowed us to find our guide and group easily . The boat was clean and comfortable enough. There was some crowd at the islands but our tour guide managed it very well. Philips was very helpful and also fluent in English which helped ensure we understand the instructions well. Love the fact that they had people supporting those passengers who are not good with swimming for the snorkelling bits. Lunch was also served separately for the vegetarians. Overall a great experience and something I would recommend to anyone going to phuketWritten 9 February 2024
- Jef-in-SF0 contributionsI want my time and money back.Great nature trip (in concept) turned into a miserable experience by dreadful logistics and lack of common sense. Prepare to spend 1-1.5 hours in a bus after getting picked up to get to the departure marina where you'll be dropped off to pay park admission fees. I left my wallet behind not expecting to need it on the trip, but was told that park fees can only be paid in cash or by card. Tour operators and even park cashiers are clueless about payment options. I inquired about ApplePay, but was told that wasn't available. I then pointed at the NFC sign on their payment terminal indicating that it accepts contactless payments. Low and behold, it worked so all the preceding agony with threats of not being able to join the tour without paying the park fees, was for nothing. We then were introduced to our "English speaking" guide. Both her vocabulary and pronunciation were so awful, she must come with subtitles or an interpreter. English is not my native language so I'm entirely cool with accents, but this guide was literally making incomprehensible noises. A parrot could surely be trained to speak more understandably. What a travesty! If you market your tour as English-speaking, this can't be the best the local talent pool has to offer. After the marina, brace yourself for another 1.5 hours on a speed boat jumping up and down on waves like a wild bronco. This may sound like fun but the excitement wears out after about 5 minutes. By the time you arrive to your first stop, you will feel like you took a beating (because your body actually has). Pileh Lagoon is beautiful but don't be fooled by the pretty marketing pictures. Many dozens, if not hundreds, of boats rush into this rather small lagoon during day time and turn it into chaotic mess of boats and people trying to swim literally in between boats and sometimes just meters away from turning propellers. We did not even get in the water at that stop. It felt sub-human. Speaking of longtail boats, these suckers run on diesel. The lagoon is almost fully enclosed by tall cliffs so there's no fresh breeze to whisk it away. The stench of diesel exhaust is unbearable. It felt like spending an hour in a truck depot where all engines are running. It's impossible to enjoy the beautiful scenery around when your nostrils are under constant assault from exhaust fumes but also guests AND crew chain smoking at every stop. Next stop is snorkeling, which was OK. I'm sure there are better reefs than one we anchored at, but fine. Lunch was decent. The bamboo island was the highlight of the trip with amazing water and white sand beaches. I personally would have preferred to drive by the "diesel depot" for pictures and without stopping, but spend more time on the bamboo island. The ride back to the marina was another 1+ hours of body-bruising up and down action. The final nail in the coffin was the ride back to our drop off point, which the tour organizer mapped around driver's convenience so he doesn't get stuck in traffic going home. Our ride back took 2+ hours in stifling traffic and we missed our transfer boat to the island we were staying. For the ~3 hours of actually taking in the sights, you endure 5+ hours of logistical drudgery, inscrutable English, noxious smells and boneheaded organizationWritten 13 January 2024
- Jeandre L0 contributionsSplendid tour of Similan IslandsAbsolutely splendid! The crew were friendly and courteous. It was, for us, a thrilling experience and excellent customer service. I'd highly recommend booking the tour. Venus is a star!Written 2 January 2024
- Petr Š0 contributionsSad view on a beautiful placeThis is a perfect example of how mass tourism can destroy an amazing place on earth. Hundreds of tourists arrive at the beach at the same moment, snorkeling takes place near dead corals. It's a pity that Thailand does not limit the number of tourists in such places, because in a few years there will be nowhere to go and nothing will be left here except a stone on the beach.Written 26 December 2023
- 574petel0 contributionsIt’s unreasonable to offer this from Patong.Took over three and a half hours to get to the port in the morning and four to get back in the evening. I went twenty five years ago so I was excited to go again. Back then it was a slow boat ride from a jetty close to Patong. Now it’s a nightmare journey stuck in traffic to get there and back. Twenty five years ago we were the only ones there. Today there was twenty speed boats all racing round. Probably about a thousand people on the same small beach. It’s noisy, crowded and the coral has all been damaged. There’s only a few isolated bits remaining at each site. It’s very sad. You’re cattle herded round. Lunch is like a school canteen. Rushed through with no real finesse or style. You’re literally just one in a crowd of hundreds. You can’t get any decent photos of the rock headland that looks spectacular as there’s probably about fifty people all stood around it The authorities would probably be better just stopping people going up there. There’s no reason to. All you do is get the view of a crowded beach. Be better to stop people going up so at least you can get the view and photo from the bottom. They are pretty organised though. You’re given lunch cards and coloured tags. It’s all very rehearsed. It’s not realistic to offer this from Patong. I got picked up at 6am and we got to the islands at 11:30am. Coming back we left at 3:20pm and I got back to the hotel at 8pm. The traffic is a nightmare. And at the end of the day they’ve damaged the reef terribly. Don’t waste your time and money.Written 12 December 2023
- Tranken0 contributionsConsider the long drive and boat ride from Patong Beach just for two snorkeling sitesLong drive from Patong Beach (2.5 hrs) plus long jet boat ride (1.25 hrs) to Similan Island. Boat had 60 people sitting tightly and they hung life jackets on the chairs which made it more cramped. Two snorkeling sights (40 min each) was actually good clear with many fishes and corals. Lunch was soooo bad. Warm (not hot) Tom Yum soup. Chicken was cold and hard. Only rice was edible. All the customers complained. It’s not the company Phuket Top Tour fault. All the customers from different tour company eat the same lousy food. I hope Phuket Top Tour will tell them to cook better. Also tell them to store the life jackets somewhere else not on seats.Written 3 December 2023

I’m 25F from England, travelling with my 29BF. We asolutely loved the whole day.
It was amazing, even though the weather was overcast and then we experienced a thunder storm I would do it all again.
The staff were so lovely. They picked us up from our hotel on time, the transfer was air conned and clean. When we arrived at the pier we were able to help our selves to complimentary drinks/snacks/toast. There is a little shop where you can buy things such as wet shoes, 300bhat, hats, 350bhat and rent flippers for snorkelling 350hbat. They provide snorkelling equipment which included in the ticket price.
The team even offered sea sickness tablets for free to everyone. The host Olina? (Sorry I can’t remember her name) was so funny, she made the day go really smoothly. They were professional and completed several head counts at every stop to ensure everyone was on board. They offered constant refreshments and at the end of the day we ate pineapple and watermelon on the boat ride home.
The lunch which was included was perfect, would recommend the beef masala curry. You also had the option to pay for long tail boat tours which were at some of the stops and there were lots of gift shops at phi phi don. (Also McDonalds and Burger King for those who don’t like Thai food).
Would highly recommend. Only thing I would suggest is to bring a waterproof bag because your in and out of the water so keeping your towels separate from your clothes would be handy. But realistically you don’t even need to bring a change of clothes, we stayed in our swimwear the whole time, including the transfer home.
10/10, perfect day in Phuket, 100% worth the money!
(Make sure you take money with you to tip at the end, the staff definitely deserve it)

Our tour started with a pick up at 6 (which is pretty early) & we reached the jetty only around 8:30 (since you pick up guests from the same area). On reaching we were given some refreshments & a briefing. While most groups were briefed in Russian (there were multiple Russian tourists), our tour instructor took the effort to explain everything in english. Though our instructions seemed shorter and simpler then the ones in Russian, we really dint mind that. Our first island was naga, where we spent time swimming, swinging and enjoying the island, before we set of in our speed boat to the most beautiful island bamboo island, the water here is crystal clear and the beach is maintained very well, post this we went to monkey island, maya bay, saw the viking caves and then had a great experience of jumping into the water at the pi leh lagoon. One of the only problems on the trip was the stop over at phi phi island, that was very short, we had to walk across the island (about 15 mins) for lunch, that was average & then within 45 mins, were expected to walk back (15 mins) to head back to the boat for our return leg.
However, during the return leg, we stopped over for another trip of snorkling & then at a beautiful island to see the sunset that completed the tour on a happy note.

Thank you for your review, we are happy that you enjoed our tour!
Sometimes if the boat arrives at low tide on the Phi phi Don island, then it is necessary to moor in the port and go through the island to the beach to the place of lunch. Usually the water level is high enough and the boat is moored directly near the restaurant where lunch is held.

Great day out, very well organised and only marred by unfortunate attitude of some of the other tourists but that’s just luck of the draw. Trip across to phi phi was quite rough, personally I found it quite exhilarating but be prepared that everyone will be gradually bounced down the boat and end up in a heap at the back. Visit to Maya beach could do with rethinking, it cost 400 B pp and queues were such that in the 40 mins allotted we only had time to go to the rest rooms and have 5 minutes on the beach before we had to head back. Cutting this out would give more time for some of the other parts of the trip which personally I enjoyed more.

Dear Douglas,
Thank you for your review, we are glad that you enjoyed this Phi Phi Islands tour with us. The National Park Fee of THB 400 includes access not only to Maya Bay, but to all Phi Phi attractions such as the Lagoon, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave and Phi Phi Snorkelling. Without this fee, you can only visit Koh Phi Phi Don, because it is the only inhabited island on Koh Phi Phi, and everything else is the territory of the National Park.

Don’t make the same mistake we did when we booked this tour. It’s a gimmick to lure you into thinking that your are going to visit multiple islands when in reality you only get 2/3 of what is offered on the listing. It says that you’ll get to visit bamboo island for $50~ but in reality you have to pay $75~ for that. ( we were not aware until we got there)
On top of that they book too many tickets and expect everyone to squeeze into a small boat the whole day. We were basically sardines..
Lastly, they switch up the itinerary as they go and just expect you to be okay with it.
We contacted the tour agency as well as TripAdvisor/Viator and they all basically said “tough luck..”
Extremely unprofessional on their part.

Dear Alejandra Salceda,
There is a 3 booking options and they clearly says what includes in each of them. You have booked Phi Phi+ Khai Eco option that not includes visiting Bamboo Island. Your tour was according to the itinerary, that stated at TripAdvisor, without any "switch ups" and changes. You have contacted us and asked about full refund, but we can not issue it because you got what you paid for, and there is no our mistake. We are sorry that you did not enjoy our tour and wish only happy experiences in the future.
Best regards,

To start the day we were herded into a waiting area and given a coloured wristband. This area was so packed it was standing room only. We had to wait an hour before our tour guide arrived to board us onto our speedboat. The boat itself was terrible. Hugely overcrowded. I would say a capacity of 20 was maximum, but we had 38 people on board, plus the crew, crushed together shoulder to shoulder, having to wear a life jacket ( more like a straight jacket)with no room to move. We were sat so low down in the boat that nobody could see outside, the only view was the inside of the boat. The speedboat journey to the 1st Island was about 45 mins. The boat bounced and bounced off the waves, leaving the water to fly through the air and come crashing back down into the waves. During this miserable journey, sick bags were handed out as people were being sick, fainting or just lying on the floor. Everyone had their head in their hands feeling ill. Arrived at the 1st Island and had 20 mins to swim off the boat, that’s all. Left for Maya Island. On arrival here it was like the M25. There were boats everywhere trying to dock or leave. Complete chaos. We were given 40 mins to see the Island. It took 10 mins to actually get on the Island and then 50 mins to queue to get back on our boat, as there were thousands of tourists on the Island. So we saw nothing of this Island or the Beach. We next headed for Monkey Island. By now, the stench on the boat of sweating bodies, petrol fumes, cigarette smoke and sick was so nauseous that there was a mutiny on the boat as people wanted to get off and go back to the harbour. Monkey Island was so small it was like a sand pit packed with tourists. We were given 5 mins to get off and take photographs. It was obvious now that most of the trip was going to be spent on the boat. Those of us who had had enough, stayed on the boat here and asked the tour guide to arrange for us to go back. He did this for us at a cost of £20 each. We were dropped off at the next Island and boarded a huge yacht that took us back. The best £40 we spent. We were promised a must visit relaxing tour, allowing us to explore, relax and admire the beautiful Islands. The reality was an overcrowded boat, overcrowded and commercialised Islands, were profits were maximised, without thought for the tourists experience or well being.

The driver was on time picking us up and the van was very comfortable. The marina facility itself wasn’t very nice, but it was fine enough. The seating area was decent and there were sandwiches, cereals, coffee, tea, and juices available for clients. I didn’t like that the fee for the national park isn’t included in the trip. The boat was fine and the ride was comfortable. The islands were all beautiful, although I wish we could’ve gone into Maya beach (it’s closed in August). I’ve seen some reviews saying the snorkelling was crowded, but my kids and I actually REALLY REALLY enjoyed it. There were so many types of fish and the area where our boat was anchored had plenty of space for all of our passengers (+50 persons). The staff was also super helpful and friendly with my kids. I was actually able to swim away and snorkel by myself a little thanks to them helping with my younger one. They helped him stay with a floatation device and swam around with him. The lunch buffet was really crowded and the seating was a bit cramped in the restaurant because so many tour groups were there eating together. The food was good though and the view was beautiful. Finally, Bamboo Island was great! It was so picturesque with that clear blue water and white sand. There’s plenty of space to swim, but my kids and I went to swim in the area roped off for tourists so we could snorkel some more. There’s not much to see unless you swim out to the deeper area away from the people, where you can see some schools of different fish. My son and I got lucky and actually saw a juvenile black tip reef shark swimming down below! It was really amazing to see it in its natural surroundings. The staff and crew were wonderful, helpful and always smiling. I do prefer the smaller catamaran boats, but I recommend this trip overall.

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience on the Phi Phi Islands Tour from Phuket! We're glad to hear that the pick-up was punctual, and the van was comfortable. We appreciate your feedback about the marina facility; we're constantly working to enhance our guests' experiences.
It's great to hear that you and your kids enjoyed the snorkeling and found it to be a highlight. We're pleased that the staff could assist with your younger one and that you had a memorable experience snorkeling with the black tip reef shark!
We acknowledge your comments about the lunch buffet and restaurant seating being crowded. We'll consider your feedback to see how we can improve this aspect of the tour.
We’re delighted that you enjoyed Bamboo Island and its picturesque setting. Your recommendation and positive notes about the staff and crew are much appreciated.
Thank you again for your review, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour in the future!

Great sights, but keep in mind this is speed tourism: every stop is crowded, a lot of time in lines, crowded beaches and lagoons crammed with people, and boats. Not enough time spend at any stop.
Bring ฿2000 per person: there are additional experiences not included with your trip. Bring at least ฿600 for renting snorkeling flippers or towels.

Dear danny742016,
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback. It's worth noting that during peak seasons like now, Phi Phi Islands tend to be crowded. Throughout the trip, there are additional opportunities available for you to enhance your experience, such as renting a long-tail boat at Philey Lagoon, purchasing a photo session with our photographer, buying souvenirs at Phi Phi Islands, renting a Jetski at Khai Island, or even indulging in scuba diving at Phi Phi Don. While these services are not included in our package, they are available for an additional fee, although participation is not mandatory.
Regarding your Phi Phi Bamboo tour option, please be informed that snorkeling flippers or towels are provided complimentary for you, but a refundable cash deposit is required.
Thank you once again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience soon.

Overall, we had an average experience and it was a good way to see the islands. Our transfer driver and crew were nice and helpful. Our guide Roi, though nice and funny, sold people on water shoes (300b, totally unnecessary and we didn’t purchase but would say 80% of visitors did) and also sold people on the long tail boat (400b PP or 1800B for private, up to 6). These two are nice to have but not cost effective. I paid for private long tail for my wife and I, we only used it for 30 mins and thought it’d tour the lagoon. Do not get the long tail. It only took us to a tiny beach and spent 10 minutes there and back to the main boat. Total tourist trap and rip off. Our experience did not match what the guide suggested when he provided overview in the morning.
Positive: get to see islands in 1 day. Decent lunch, especially given scale of operation. Hotel pick up drop off makes visiting easy.
Negative: over priced auxiliary services. The last stop at the beach for an hour is pointless.

Thank you for your feedback, it will help us improve our service! For all our travelers, we recommend to wear non-slip shoes (coral shoes) for this trip, they are very useful on the boat, while snorkelling and on the islands. Longtail boat rental is not our service, you can decide for yourself. You can take beautiful photos while sailing on a longtail boat and visit the wild beach, but we only stop at Laguna for up to 40 minutes, so it's up to you to rent it or not. In Laguna you can use our paddle board for free, swimming and jumping from the boat in deep and crystal clear lagoon water.

Me and my partner recently went on this tour with our toddler. We were bit nervous in the beginning as we are travelling with our toddler. Well, our experience was incredible due to exceptional tour operator - Charter Marine.
Phi Phi Island is a stunning tropical paradise located in Thailand’s Andaman Sea, known for its breathtaking beauty and crystal-clear waters. The island is part of an archipelago and is famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, white sandy beaches, and vibrant marine life.
The main island, Phi Phi Don, is bustling with lively beachside resorts, restaurants, and shops, making it a great destination for both relaxation and adventure. In contrast, Phi Phi Leh, the smaller of the two main islands, is uninhabited and home to the iconic Maya Bay,
Long tail boat ride along the turquoise waters teeming with colorful coral reefs and tropical fish, was the highlight of the trip. Although, boat ride is on the expensive side but you can convince and share the boat with co-passengers. Boat ride is must-do and worth every penny spent!
Whether you’re seeking adventure or a peaceful retreat, Phi Phi Island tour by the operator offers a perfect blend of both.
We highly recommend the tour. Hop on from your speed boat to long tail boat for some extra bucks to experience the best retreat of lifetime and if you are bored of snorkeling and diving.

Traveling with little ones can sometimes be nerve-wracking, but we're so glad that our team made the trip smooth and enjoyable for your family.
Phi Phi Island truly is a paradise, and it's wonderful to know that you were able to fully experience its beauty—from the vibrant marine life and stunning limestone cliffs to the adventure of the long-tail boat ride. We agree, while the long-tail boat ride might come with an extra cost, it's absolutely worth it for the added adventure and breathtaking views!
Thank you for highly recommending our tour, and we’re so happy we could help create lasting memories for your family. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure in the future!

The islands them selves are nice and some has breath taking views however the trip with the advertising companies might be a an avarage and over rated experience in totality. that is due to the comarcial nature as time is limited in the worthy locations while other locations are so crowded. Be so persistent in inquiry about type of boat you travel in even though when you reach the harbor it might be beyond expectations.
Maybe it is better to travel to the islands in a private boat where you can have more control over time and location distribution as well as privacy but it might be expensive.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about the trip.
We understand that preferences can vary, and some travelers may find more control over time, location distribution, and privacy by opting for a private boat. While this option may offer advantages, we acknowledge that it come at a higher cost and we also offering private boat tours to Phi Phi Islands.
We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us understand the preferences and concerns of our customers and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future and provide an improved experience.

Hi,
We'd like to book a tour to Phi Phi Island but see the article about the closing of Maya Bay.
Wondering if it is still possible to book the tour at the beginning of August?

It is easier to exchange to THB and then to pay cash. Go with the company called discova ask for Pam. She will arrange everything.
This way you can relax and not stress about anything 😌

Hello,
How is the schedule in August when the Maya Bay is closed? The speedboat does not go at all?
