His English was perfect and he shared many amazing stories with us. What a privilege it was to spend the day with him learning so much about such an important historical event. Our nine year old daughter learned so much, as we all did. I would happily recommend Bao to anyone wanting to see Cu Chi. Thank you for such a fabulous day.Written 15 September 2024

Hoang was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the tunnels and provided us with fascinating information throughout the tour. I really appreciated his enthusiasm and passion for sharing this important part of Vietnam's history with us. The tour itself was well-organized and informative, allowing us to explore the tunnels and learn about the various traps and tactics used by the soldiers during the war. It was a truly eye-opening experience and I highly recommend taking a tour with Hoang if you have the chance.Written 14 September 2024
- 823pavang0 contributionsThe gist of my experienceHoang, was my guide for today. Overall it was a pleasant experience. First stop on our journey was to a factory to see how egg shells, shells and red wood are turned into beautiful pieces of art. These are work are widely found in the city, but have you seen how it's made. Next week headed to the tunnels, where we learned how the tunnels were made, saw the traps and crawled thru the tunnel. Throughout the experience Hoang, gave us a look back into history and his heart felt views on the war. Overall I would recommend it.Written 14 September 2024

- jamescD8307MA0 contributionsA glimpse into the pastTour with Kim Travel with tour guide Larry. Small group tour to Cu Chi tunnels, although turns out these are not the main ones marked on Google Maps. This meant that the area was quieter than the main group of tunnels yet had all of the things you would see there. Larry gave plenty of information on the bus and through the day about the history of various aspects of the Vietnam war. There was stop off on the way to see victims of agent orange. There was a store, but Larry made it clear we were stopping to look and give the victims a voice, and there was no need to buy anything unless you really wanted to. The time at the tunnels did feel slightly rushed at times, taking just a few seconds to look at some of the traps for instance. All in all I feel that the amount of time spent at the tunnels is about right though. All round a good way to see the tunnels.Written 14 September 2024

The tour at the tunnels was quite cool, but I acknowledge the merit to the quality of the "exhibition" itself. On the other hand, our guide gave us almost no information, except for random disconnected sentences about how bad the war was. But nothing directly relevant to what we were seeing. This was extremely annoying, especially because we noticed other groups had way better-prepared guides.
The worst came in the afternoon in the mekong delta: we were just brought from shop to shop to be asked to buy products, nothing was shown or explained to us. The "traditional music performance" was embarassing: it felt artists were there just to get extra tips (they did expressively ask for it), which is fine, but makes you wonder : where are the money you pay for this tour going to? The same happened for the 5-min boat drive and other activities "shown by locals".
Overall this tour was very bad value for money. I recommend the agency to check (English) speaking skills and quality of contents of *all* their guides and review the itinerary for the afternoon. It would be also nice to be more transparent on how "well" local collaborators are paid for their activities within the tours.

Overall, we had a nice time. However, it seems like they waste a lot of time taking you to places where you are encouraged to buy random products. While we appreciate getting a glimpse into the local culture, they can easily skip the first break at the handicrafts market, and if they must break at that point, maybe set a time limit for guests so that things are wrapped up quickly.
You are expected to tip at every point. That was a problem for us because we got pick-pocketed the day before and had very little cash. But, we also felt like the tour is quite expensive by itself and you should only tip for good service.
Lunch was average. There's definitely room for improvement.
The guide, Ethan, was informative and knowledgeable though we felt like he kept going off-track sometimes. He could make his speeches a little more concise. But, he was very nice and courteous.

Tour was nice, but felt more like shopping tour. We got off the bus to buy some pictures at a location that wasn't mentioned in the tour description. The tunnels were really nice and our tour guide answered all our questions and told us interesting facts, but we would have liked to spend some more time there instead of the shop before. Even though it was way over 30 degrees, we only got a really small bottle of mineral water for the full day trip and had to buy a lot of drinks. Don't rely on the "included mineral water" and bring your own drinks, as everything is overpriced. Also bring a lot of money, as you are getting asked at every possibility to tip someone. Why are we asked to give the "recommended tip" at more than 5 occasions if we already pay 55$? Don't all the people get a good wage for that? On top of that, the company probably gets a lot of money for bringing us to all the shops. Also, our guide told us to give 5 stars, otherwise he would get a 10% salary reduction. This is just really sad, most of the people in the bus did it. We would have given 3 stars, but because they are getting unfair good recommendations, 2 stars are fair. Also trip with the small boat in the Mekong Delta was no longer than 10 minutes.
It was nice to see all the things and our guide was really good. But in the end, we felt commercialised as they did everything to make us spend a lot of money and the ratings are not fair at all as they kind of force you to give 5 stars.

Im the kind of guy that normaly not go on tours, and this day showed me how important it is to have a skillfull local guide that have nollege and experience. Lucky us that we had a really good guide Nim, he had excellent English, clear in his way of comunicating with the members of the group, eye contact so he see that everyone are followin. First we went to the tunnels and Nim was very informative and Im sure that this tour could not been done any better by anyone else. The second main part of the day was going to the Mekong river. Very nice and intresting and again very important to have a local guide with good nollege, our guide grew up in this area and knew everything in detail and he left no questions in unanswered.
Thanks for a good day full with happenings. Serious company that act profesionally and good service.

This was our first tour in Saigon. Our tour guide was Ethan (from Kim Travel), we were staying at an AirBrb and he picked us up from our accommodation (which is great because other tours would usually ask you to meet at a certain meeting point, if you aren’t staying at their preferred hotels). Throughout our tour Ethan was accommodating and informative! He was knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any questions. The tour stuck to the itinerary. We would definitely recommend going on this tour with Kim Travel if you want to learn about the history of these two areas. We would also like to mention that during the tour, we took different types of transportation (bus, boat, golf cart, row boat) which made it an interesting experience. If you decide to go, request for Ethan as he was energetic and had a good sense of humor. @Ethan, thank you so much for having us. I hope all is well!!
Kind regards,
Anna & Si-An (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia)

The tour was just amazing.
We learned all about the Cu Chi tunnels and experience just a fraction of what it was like during the war getting to walk through one. I don’t know how they did it! The area itself It was very powerful and I’d recommend it’s something everyone experiences so it need not be repeated.
I also had the chance to try out an M16 on the firing range (60,000 per bullet with a 10 minimum) which was well worth it too.
The trip to the delta in the afternoon took us out on the water where we stopped at a couple of islands, drinking from fresh coconuts, eating coconut candy, listening to some traditional music and boating down the river with coconut trees on either side.
Our tour guide, Tim, was not only knowledgeable in sharing historical events and personal stories, but kept us captivated with his witty sense of humour all day and made sure that if any of us had questions or concerns, he’d do his best to make sure we were looked after. Having done many tours over the last decade, Tim is amongst the best guides we’ve had!!

The tunnel experience was good but would have been a lot better if it hadn’t been rushed. Then the onward trip to the Mekong delta is simply not worth the 4 hrs on a bush to spend 1 1/2 hrs on a small island
And to be asked for tips buy the driver the guide, the singing show and also buy the boat operator is just to much. Be aware also that a thoe some of us got picked up at our hotel we were not dropped back and was told we had to make our way back from the tour office
My advice do a single trip to the tunnels and don’t do a combined trip including the Mekong

Myself and my three friends loved the tour with Mr.T! He went out of his way to provide a comfortable and entertaining tour including providing us with power banks, snacks and his own wifi while on the journey to Mekong Delta. We loved his humour and history lesson throughout the day and he even taught us some of the Vietnamese language. We would highly recommend Mr.T as a tour guide and especially the full day tour because it is much more time-efficient. The food provided was delicious and there was plenty of stops which included fruit tasting, coconut water, tea and even a short musical concert. Mr. T offered was the perfect Insta guide because he made sure to get scenic group pictures of myself and my friends throughout the day.

We had a great tour guide Lockie! He was informative and fun, singing songs in the car and high energy! He made sure everyone was with the group in crowded areas and made sure we were all safe. He gave us plenty o opportunities to take pictures and did not rush us along. Great experience would highly recommend this trip and ask for Lockie by name! Simple Lockie is great.

Planning on going to the Cu Chi tunnels. If your partner gets claustrophobic but wants to do the other parts of the tour, can they wait on the surface and meet back up for the other parts of the tour? Or do they have to do the tunnels as well
