Enjoyable + Nice Sun Set!
Feb 2020
Not too expensive, and we had a great view of Phnom Penh as the sun was setting made it worth while. We forgot that it can get a bit cold at night time this time of year, so the staff even lent us light coats for free to keep us warn. The catering provided though, could have been better I think, other wise it would have got five stars from me.

Thank you dear Vivilants86 for your opinion on our private sunset cocktail only. We are sorry for not having been able to fully satisfy you. Our meals made on board by the cook are usually highly appreciated. During a sunset cocktail we do not offer a meal but a choice of appetizers made on board. I will check with the tour operator who has booked that the passengers are well informed of the menu in order to fully enjoy a nice sunset. Best regards.

An absolute must!!!!!
Aug 2019 • Couples
This is a brilliant way to spend an evening in Phnom Penh. Although we were a bit worried at first that the contact Ms Nasy was not going to show up (she arrives on the boat and they only have a short time frame to dock!!) when we got on the boat we had it all to ourselves. The food was excellent and Ms Nasy provided some friendly insight into the river. We had a fantastic evening.

Thank you very much dear Martinnickless for sharing your opinion on our private sunset cocktail cruise. We are perfectly aware of the lack of visibility at the meeting point but we can not do more as this is forbidden by the official administrative rules. We are so pleased to see the fabulous moment you had on board. Thank you for trusting us Best regards

Lovely peaceful cruise
Overall the cruise was as you read about on booking information, we had a very good guide called Samet who picks you up from your hotel and brings you to the boat and stays with you for the trip,he is knowledgeable about the delta area and he brings you drinks and good food throughout the cruise, its was a great way to spend our first evening in phnom penh and I would definitely recommend it

Brilliant experience & food & guide
We arrived to meet Nasy at the boat and were informed that the only other couple had cancelled but the trip was still going ahead - this meant alot to us as we were really looking forward to it and was our last night in Cambodia.

Nasy was a very informative guide and gave us alot of background on the social, political, environmental & cultural climate in Phnom Penh.

Food was amazing and so were the crew! Thank you to all.

Dear Alix, it is especially you, that we thank for your confidence in booking our cruise. We are very pleased that you have been able to enjoy your time on board. It is rare that we cancel cruises at the last moment except for security reasons, mainly related to the weather. It is true that we have from time to time passengers who cancel but it does not interfere with the smooth running of the program as you have seen. Thank you for taking the time to give your opinion Best regards

Perhaps booking in advance may not be a good idea...
Jan 2018 • Family
We had pre-booked the sunset-cocktail-with-BBQ-dinner cruise when I realised before flying that there were some evenings during our trip when there was no availability - but, on hindsight, maybe it would have been better to look at the actual weather on the day, and then find a river cruise if the sky is clear. It was probably our bad luck that we ended up cruising on the one cloudy afternoon in our whole time there - so, yes, there was no sunset to speak of. So that's one big point down - not the operator's fault, of course.

Our hotel was also rather surprised that this river cruise started so late, at 5.30 pm - apparently, the concierge tells us most pick up the guests at 4plus so you get more daylight time. My husband personally wondered if the operator should start the cruise earlier in the "winter" months since sunset comes earlier (we only had about 30ish minutes of daylight?) So... food for thought.

F&B-wise, the finger food was fine, the BBQ dinner wasn't great (I found the meats overcooked), and the drinks adequate (I liked my Margherita, but my husband thought his beer tasted funky!). The cruise experience, while pleasant enough, seemed to drag on rather too long given the short distance of travel (you basically go back and forth over not too long a stretch of the river at a snail's pace for 2.5 hrs) and the lack of interesting sights. The guide (Mao, or something?) was friendly, but didn't really do much 'guiding' - more like the butler on the trip, dealing with drinks and the food. (I recognise that most of the positive reviews were for Ms Nasy as a guide so, again, well, our bad luck that we got someone else! But, just so you know, you might too.)

I felt it was poor value for what I was paying - I might rather have gotten a riverside meal to enjoy the sunset and the river views, or a short 30-min sunset cruise (with no food) instead.

Thereafter, having received an email request for feedback from Ms Sandra Rousseau, the business owner, I gave her my honest views as set out above. She followed up on it, and apologised for what I understand to be an uncharacteristic lapse in quality, explaining to me that she has taken action to help ensure that this wouldn't repeat itself - which gives me the impression that this is a company committed to upholding the quality of its cruises.

So, well, the only thing I'm going to say now is that, if you don't feel that you NEED to have dinner on board, consider their shorter cruises instead!

Dear diamantesky, Thank you for sharing your feeling about your Sunset cocktail & dinner cruise. It is true that this year is quite special from a meteorological point of view. At the end of December and the beginning of January we had particularly cool and windy weather, especially rainy weather, which is exceptional at this time of the year. Regarding the quality of the service on board during your cruise, it clearly did not live up to what we want to offer our guests aboard our boats. We had during this cruise some dysfunctions that you have identified and for which I renew my apologies. We made the necessary changes. On the other hand, the departure time at 5.30 pm allows passengers to cruise about one hour during the day, to see Phnom Penh from the river, then to see the banks on the other side of the Mekong with the small floating village. Then as night falls, we discover another perspective. "Normally" it is hot in Phnom Penh, and the freshness of the evening on the river is normally very appreciable. But it is true that when you came on board, it was not hot, and especially this very overcast weather made the night fall almost half an hour earlier. This time of departure is also a request from travel agencies as it allows travellers to enjoy day excursion before cruising where there are supposed to have a dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. On private cruise we propose to change the departure time To discover Khmer countryside landscapes or real floating villages, it is necessary to go further on the river. A 2h30 cruise is not enough. It is then necessary to make a full day cruise like that Udong cruise. And to discover a totally wild Cambodia and breathtaking landscapes, you have to make the 3-day cruise from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. It is true that there were several events at your dinner that combined not to make it as enjoyable as we would like. I'm really sorry about that. I hope, however, that you will keep an excellent memory of Cambodia and all its wonders. Best regards

Dear Nasy
Thanks very much for the excellent cruise! We really enjoyed it. First of all thanks very much that the cruise did take place with just the two of us. It's not been given that you operated the cruise, when all the other passengers did canx the trip.
It was really interresting to hear all the stories about the life in Cambodia. The dinner was absolutely great and delicious. The cruise on the two rivers was really impressive. We really hope to keep in touch.
Best regards from Switzerland

Relaxing cruise! Highly recommended
Oct 2017 • Couples
We booked the cruise directly by emailing them and their response was quick and prompt. After booking the cruise we realized that we had booked for the wrong day. Immediately sent across an email and they were happy to reschedule without any extra charge. Yet again their response was quick and there was no delay whatsoever.

On the day of the cruise Ms. Nassy was waiting near the port (opposite to night market). We were then escorted to the boat.

The boat itself was neat and clean with two floors. Once we entered the boat we were allowed to explore the boat and get comfortable. Starters were served with the choice of drinks. The food was fresh and tasty. We had specifically asked for vegetarian food and it was served to us without any hassle.

There was barbecue on the cruise and we were allowed to try our hands on the same.
Ms. Nassy is a fun person to be with and she kept us all entertained with her stories of Cambodia and her life. It was great interacting with her. She is an amazing person and a great host.

All our needs were catered to without any troubles. We enjoyed the cruise thoroughly. The dinner was delicious and sufficient. The cruise ride was relaxing after a long day of exploring the killing fields. I would highly recommend this cruise to everyone visiting Phnom Penh.
