I don’t hesitate one bit to recommend this tour. I was looking for a convenient and affordable way to get to the Dead Sea but none of the tours or transportation options were sitting right with me. I’m so glad I found Elijah Tours. It would have been worth it just for the transportation alone, so for this price it is incredible that you get a full day tour including the sites in and around Bethlehem. Our guides Elias and Jonny were so kind, knowledgeable and organized. I also personally appreciated their perspective living as Palestinian Christians—it was a very meaningful way to connect with the spaces we were visiting and in no way did I ever feel like there was any hidden agenda. They were simply genuine people who made me feel welcome and respectful of the rich yet complex history and present day events. We had more than enough time at the Dead Sea and they took us to a beautiful, comfortable and convenient beach on the north side (Neve Midbar). If you’re looking for a tour company, don’t delay and choose Elijah!

This was a great tour. The guides were excellent, the itinerary was well organized, and it had a little bit of everything - attractions, food, and some comedy.
We came from Tel Aviv, but the rest of the group started from Jerusalem. We were about 30 minutes late due to traffic, but the company was in touch via WhatsApp and everything went smoothly. Our guide for most of the day was Boaz and he was great - funny, knowledgeable, and constantly surprising us with little local snacks. We've done a lot of these types of tours in a lot of different places and Boaz is one of the best guides we've ever had. The guide really sets the tone for the whole group and he truly did a great job keeping us all engaged and entertained.
The first stop was the wall with Banksy art/graffiti for a few photos. Next we went to the Milk Grotto for a quick look around and some history and photos. After a quick bathroom break we went to the Church of the Nativity where we met Abu, who guided us through this area. The church is busy busy busy with people lining up to go see the manger area. Abu managed to get us downstairs in less than 5 minutes. Some people were waiting on line for hours, so the guide as a huge plus here. We toured the rest of the area, then met back up with Boaz. Next we went to Shepherd's Field and explored a bit.
The last stop for the morning was for olive wood, souvenirs, and falafel. I'm not a huge fan of shopping stops, but they really did have good stuff and good prices. The falafel was a nice touch too.
After eating we said goodbye to Boaz and got back on the minibus to go to the Dead Sea (no guide for this part of the tour, but if you need a guide to tell you how to get in and out of the water you may need to reconsider independent travel). We spent about 2 hours there, which was more than enough time to swim, shop, and ride a camel.

We had a great time with this tour. Weather was really bad, so after the visit to Bethlehem going to the dead sea was pointless. Instead we went to Jericho, which was really interesting. The staff was lovely and the explanations satisfying. They also took care to arrange transports for some of our fellow travellers. The tour felt a bit rushed sometimes, probably because we lost some time in the Jerusalem traffic, but I would definitely recommend it.

Tour was great, Boaz and the rest of the guys were all so friendly and very enthusiastic. 😁 learned so much about the history and status of Israel and Palestine. Everywhere we went they let us try local food which was a great complement to the tour.
There was a slight problem with Asian countries (and maybe others now also) because of COVID-19, some tourist places enforced a ban. Not sure how it will be now and in future.
There was also some confusion with other members of the group regarding the afternoon itinerary. Seemed like we all had different itineraries and it wasn’t clear when each group would go. Anyway everything turned out ok. Maybe better coordination next time. The driver (sorry I can’t remember his name now) made up for it by taking all of our pictures with the mud 👍🏼
Dead Sea turned out to be very organized and there were good toilet/bathroom facilities, which was my main concern. There weren’t too many people that time also, which made everything manageable. Had fun trying out floating and putting all that mud, which was apparently a must.

My friend and I went on the Bethlehem and Dead Sea tour a couple of days ago and are still completely blown away by the whole experience. The tour was perfectly organised, the guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and we felt safe at all times. We learned so much about the places we visited and are keen to come back at some point in the not too distant future. I can highly recommend Elijah and his team. Thanks for everything!

Fantastic experience. I highly recommend it. The tour guide in Bethlehem was excellent. He gave us a good perspective on the city and its history. The driver to the Dead Sea was also wonderful. He was very knowledgable about the region, accommodating and took us on extra stops. They both could not have been nicer.

I’m giving a 5 in comparison of another tour we took after. The main reason are for the sites - I don’t have any god or religion yet it was very interesting to discover such places. The guide was very nice, not pushy, with a great sense of humor. The Dead Sea was also something to experience. Despite the bad weather we managed to enjoy it for a bit.

This tour requires good weather. What is considered bad weather. Would this tour be cancelled due to rain?
Eirinn1975
Rauma, Finland420 contributions
No, it wouldn't be cancelled. We found even some snow and the tour wasn't cancelled. If you're heading to the dead sea and the weather is bad, then you can always ask to visit the Jericho, which is quite an interesting place.

Hi we are a group of three people. We would like to do the tour on 4th of November. Instead of returning to tel aviv, is it possible to leave us in Jerusalem as we are going to overnight there. Also we have three small trolley with us. is it possible to leave them in the car or bus while we are visiting the places?
