Where to start... first I must say that i waited a while to write this review because i had several trips planned to Israel back to back with different organizations and I wanted to write and informed review of my time with Elad Vazana.

I can say with 1000% confidence that having Elad with my group traveling all around Israel was the corner stone of our traveling experience!

Initially when planning the trip I communicated the purpose of my groups journey to Israel. I was bringing 100 graduate students to Israel who had never been and knew very little of the region and its complexity. My task was to show them as much of the diversity as I possibly could while honoring the complexity and richness of the people and of the region. I did not want a disneyland version of Israel but rather as real of a snapshot of life as we could get.

Elad delivered on what I wanted but brought so much more than I could have ever asked for. Is was clear from the very beginning that he loved what he did and that palpable energy never faded throughout the entire 10 days he was with us. He was a library of information no matter what we asked for. He was able to talk about the same event or place from multiple perspectives being very mindful to make sure that the narrative he shared about that topic was authentic to the community he was talking about or as he often did strike up a conversation with a local in front of us asking for their views on what we were discussing. He created an incredibly immersive experience bringing us into the daily life of so many people and communities.

We went from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ramle and Lod, we met with countless people from every different walk of life having conversations facilitated by Elad. His excitement and openness brought the curiosity from the participants and joy of learning about the region.

Moreover his travel props were amazing and something the participants really appreciated as they tried to digest the complexity of the region they were moving through.

Moving through Israel with Elad for these 10-days was definitely unlike the subsequent trips I went on ( I often found myself remembering things Elad shared and asking the other tour guide about them to see what they could add and the others seemed to not have the depth and breath of knowledge that Elad brings to the experience.

I am planning on bringing participants every year to Israel for the same purpose and plan on Asking Elad to guide us every time.

Thank you Elad for making our trip so special and I look forward to spending some time with you around Israel soon!

I had a private tour with Elad a few years ago and when I came back to Jerusalem with my husband I wanted to share the amazing experience of a tour with Elad with him. It was just as unique experience as it was the first time. Not only does Elad emphasize various perspectives on history and events, he also has a gift of engaging the people around him into conversation about how they feel about religion, sites of worship and the friction that exists today. He does this in the most sensitive and skilled way possible and you end up learning things far beyond history. Touring with Elad has been the highlight of both my trips to Israel. I would highly recommend him to anyone traveling to Israel.

Elad was an AMAZING tour guide. I went to Israel recently on a school study abroad trip without knowing much about anything, not really knowing what to expect, but with Elad as a guide I feel like now I can teach a whole course on Life in Israel! Elad was sooo knowledgeable, funny and fun. He really connected with us as a group and he felt like family by the end of all the tours. He even showed us secret/unique locations that not many other guides knew about, so we had a very personal experience and he was sooo creative by showing us photographs and art he created to further explain the history and geography of the locations. All of the tours were so impactful and interactive because of him. I would 1000% recommend this company and Elad to everyone.

This tour was great!
The tour was about the history of Jerusalem through the ages. We were a group which most of us toured a lot in Jerusalem, and Elad taught all of us new things. He answered all our questions and really "painted the picture" of Jerusalem in each period of time.

Where to start... Of course I loved seeing all the historic
and spiritual sites! However, having a guide that was able
to actually give perspective from living in the country was
invaluable!
Elad has such a genuine, compassionate personality, he
truly wants you to understand Israel from all perspectives.
He is patient with travelers dealing with physical
restrictions and stays calm in all situations. This in turn
kept me calm and helped me stay in the moment. I shed
tears nearly daily while in Israel because of the impact
this trip had on my heart.
I was on a dual narrative tour and it was extremely
insightful and thought provoking. My husband and I
enjoyed every evening reflecting on the days events.
Did I mention Elad is a musician and sings?! I have
listened numerous times to a video a co-tourist filmed
inside the Church of Shepherd's Field near Bethlehem as
Elad was vocalizing Bach Air in D Minor. His voice with
the acoustics inside were angelic!
Elad danced with us, ate with us, shared our Wedding
Vow Renewal, baptism at the Jordan River, fun
experiencing the mud in the Dead Sea not to mention the
spiritual experiences we shared in Jerusalem, Bethlehem,
Galilee, Nazareth and so many more!
Had it not been for our guides we would not have seen
sites we saw and experienced moments the normal
tourist traveling on their own would not have.
Due to the ever changing world of Covid, plans would
occasionally change but when one door closed, another
opened because of Elad's friends and connections. He
always made sure our days were full of wonder and
enlightenment.
Elad's description of the local Symbol the Seed of Life
was only enhanced by his visual presentation using a
dried pomegranate he lifted from the ground where we
were walking. This had such a profound impact on my
husband and I we left Israel with a tattoo of this symbol!
Elad has a gift of storytelling while using historical facts to
tell the story.
I have over 4000 photos so be prepared!
Thank you Elad!

There is a humbleness that emanates from Elad, a desire to bring forth change through connection. Creating connection through respect and dignity is something he does exceedingly well. His story of Jerusalem is that of diverse perspectives and intertwined lives of nations, religions and singular lives of ordinary people. He will skillfully draw locals into sharing slivers of their lives giving wonderful flashes of insight and understanding. He will ask you to observe and immerse yourself in your surroundings and then deepen your understanding by unwrapping the convoluted circumstances shaping the situation. Elad will help you to don a lens of respect and understanding, while he masterfully makes history come alive.

What an honor to have Elad as our guide! Our group was in Israel January-February 2022, shortly after the country reopened to tourists, and Elad passionately shared his great love for this land and it’s people with us. He is so very knowledgeable and also shared his personal story, making our time together even more memorable. His work for peace in this land helped me think of the conflicts in my own country differently. If there were 6 star reviews I would give that! Excellent guide and a wonderful person!

Elad brings a refreshing perspective to this complicated place—his knowledge is vast but combined with a sensitivity to how the information and experiences impact people. He cares about the members of the group as human beings on their own journeys for meaning and he creates space in his tour for reflection. You won’t feel overwhelmed by the information because Elad builds in time to process. This is really a distinctive experience.

I went on a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem with Elad a year ago with a group of 12 and had an amazing experience! I was planning to send another group this past March, however we were forced to cancel because of COVID-19.

Elad reached out and offered to do a Virtual Tour & Experience for our group via Zoom. It was a really beautiful experience and helped us to momentarily leave our physical space in quarantine and truly be present to one another. He shared with us his story & experience via Zoom. He utilized Google Earth to take us on a virtual tour of the Old City and shared with us the stories of the holy sites there. Such a wonderful experience in the midst of all this chaos and change. I highly recommend requesting a virtual tour with him during this time!

I traveled to Israel on behalf of a Study Abroad program my school offered back in July. I had the privilege of meeting Elad and having him be such an amazing tour guide during our stay. Very knowledgeable, respectful, and detailed. He enriched my experience and does such an outstanding job! I have even began to recommend him to people I know to book a tour with him if ever traveling to Israel.
