Book your selected tour option, and after hotel pickup, set off into Jabal Al-Weibdeh, one of Amman’s oldest and hippest districts.
Hear about Weibdeh’s history, and learn why it’s emerging as an artistic hotspot. Stroll the winding streets, admiring the stone buildings and leafy lanes, and tune into the area’s contemporary art scene at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, and Makan Arts Space, an alternative arts venue.
Admire the Arabic art at Darat Al Funun gallery, set in three 1920s villas; and visit Dar El Anda, another arts hub inside a historical building.
See the National Museum Park and visit the Paris Circle, the heart of Weibdeh. Take in the pretty park in this lively square, and learn how it got its its French name.
Enjoy free time for souvenir shopping and lunch (own expense) at one of Weibdeh’s fashionable cafes. Or, if you’ve upgraded, enjoy an included home-cooked lunch at Café Najla, a restaurant serving traditional Jordanian cuisine.
Choose to continue to downtown Amman’s markets, and if you wish, visit the Roman Theatre and Citadel (additional costs). Your tour ends with a hotel drop-off, or an optional central drop-off that lets you continue exploring independently.
