Poor guiding
Jan 2020 • Family
Places are amazing to see. However, English pronounciation of the tour guide was very poor, the sound system in tbe vehicle was also very bad. It was hard to hear and understand the information conveyed. Plus, all tour was very information-dense. It should be more interaction-based.

Unforgettable day
Jan 2020
Byblos is a place rich in history with ancient ruins, castle, old streets full of beautiful shops and nice restaurants. Jeita Grottos are magnificent and Harissa very implessive with a fantastic view! A must visit! Overall the day trip was unforgettable and I would glandly visit again even though it was our second time there.

Great tour led by Romeo!
Oct 2019
This was a great tour to see some sights outside of Beirut! Romeo was our tour guide and we had a wonderful time listening to his stories and history of Byblos, Jeita Grotto and Harissa. This tour is a must do when visiting Lebanon and try to ask for Romeo to lead your group!

An enjoyable day
Oct 2019
Had an enjoyable day on this tour with Maia as our guide. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was nice. We were fortunate to have a nice group of people on the tour and it made for some good conversations.
Enjoyed all 3 locations though the weather was very hot and by the time we went to lunch at around 2.30 we were all very hungry but it was worth the wait as there was loads of it and delicious too.
I would book again through Nakhal

Wish there was a proper tour guide
I did a day tour to Harissa, Jeito grotra and Byblos!
+ Comfortable big bus, delicious food in great restaurant next to the sea with a view, but..

- TOUR GUIDE Romeo was BELLOW any standard..

Respect for speaking 3 languages (Arabic, English, French) to the whole group, but his knowledge and information he passed could fit on half A4 paper, very general and ultimately not interesting since you have to wait for him to say couple of sentences In 3 languages. He did not have proper answers when being asked by the group on sites (Byblos, Harissa), and mostly was talking about how Lebanon great was and is and about nightlife and bars.. On the Jeita grotto site he lost some members of the group, and left the grotto towards the bus without them, that got them very angry.

Informative and well organised
Carla, our guide, had a number of different nationalities to deal with and did so with complete professionalism.

Jeita grotto is stunning. As others have said, it’s a shame you can’t take photos but when you go, you’ll understand why. The boat trip in the lower grotto is serene and tranquil. There is a cable car up to the upper grotto. Once you’re in, it’s just under 1km of walk each way with lots of steps so not for the faint hearted.

Byblos is an interesting archaeological site. We visited under the blazing sun so take a hat. The ‘Souks’ there are really just a bunch of souvenir shops.

Lunch was awesome with a selection of cold and hot mezze, grilled meats, dessert and coffee.

The coach took us to the top at Harissa. If you want to go into the church, make sure you’re appropriately dressed or they’ll give you a Harry Potter style gown. More steps up to the top of the statue. Depending on your religious inclination, this place will either mean something special or feels a bit kitsch.

The ride down in the cable car is amazing.

This is a most awe inspiring place to visit, the caves are large and it is very easy to walk around. Some people may be challenged by the steps but it is so worth while to go into these massive caves

Great day. LOTS of walking
Sep 2019
Got to Jeita early so avoided the crowds which was great. Loved Jeita but it’s such a shame you can’t take photos but I do understand why. Harissa was disappointing but we are not religious so might be better for others, the cable car from Harissa into Jounieh was.... frightening but worth it. Absolutely loved Byblos walking around now the Crusader fortress and the area is fab, nice restaurants. The lunch in Jounieh (Lebanese mezze) was fantastic. Overall very good, the tour guide and driver were lovely but it was very rushed. If you struggle walking I wouldn’t recommend this trip.

Gruta Jeita is just amazing!
Jul 2019
Gruta Jeita was my favorite place in Lebanon! You go on a short, but AMAZING boat trip and the colours and structures formed naturally down there are just wonderful. Yet you should know that you are not allowed to take photos in there ^^
From Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa, you have a beautiful view. It seems to be a tourist attraction but not really my kind, although the cable car experience was quite nice.
About Byblos : it's a cute little town, although we couldn't spend enough time there, because after our guide had finished talking, we just had about 40 minutes to stroll around.

More details about the trip with Nakhal: it was good overall. Some details and problems :
1) The car that picked us up was more than 20 minutes late. We were afraid they forgot us but fortunately there was a kind American girl with us who called them to confirm they would really come. She helped a lot, because we couldn't use our phones in Lebanon.
2) We were not staying in any hotel, but it was possible to choose a hotel very close to the place we were staying in order for the bus to fetch us there, which was nice because we didn't have to figure out a way to go to their office early in the morning.
3) The guide was kind but didn't seem to have much experience. The things that she would say were not very interesting or maybe not said in a way that caught our attention. Another problem: we had chosen to have a French speaking guide and she spoke only English the whole time. For us, it was not a problem because we speak English too, but for those who spoke only French... it must not have been very nice.
