About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 634gwennb0 contributionsFantastic guides for private tour of Korea!I cannot say enough wonderful things about Korean Tour Guide! I first worked with them in 2016 when my sister-in-law, nephew and I visited Seoul. We had such a great time, I made sure to reach out when I was planning a milestone birthday trip to Korea with my spouse...unfortunately, the pandemic happened the same year, so the trip kept getting postpone. But Rob and Ruth were amazing and hung in there until we finally made the trip in May 2024. This was the trip of a lifetime that we hoped it would be, in large part to Korean Tour Guide and the wonderful guides they selected in Seoul, Busan and Jeju. We are deeply grateful for all the experiences, food and memories!Written 21 June 2024
- priscilafoo0 contributionsDay tour at Nami island, petite France and garden of morning calmAndrew Chung was our guide, driver and photographer for our day trip at Nami island, Petite France and Garden of Morning Calm. Andrew was knowledgeable about the places that he brought us to and explained interesting facts about the attractions. After our day trip, Andrew also shared with us a list of places (cafes and local food) that we can visit. we went with his recommendations and we loved it!! It was a short one day session but it was a fruitful one. We recommend Andrew for your visit to South Korea 😊😊 Thank you Andrew for a wonderful experience!!Written 31 May 2022
- 433jonathany0 contributionsRob and Solomon Southern CoastI booked an eight-day tour of the Southern Coast of the Peninsula. Rob and Solomon were great and were able to exceed my expectations. We did a lot in a short amount of time and would recommend their services!Written 9 November 2020
- PXC860 contributionsBella is the bestBella was absolutely the best tour guide you could get in South Korea. I’ve traveled to SK all alone during this crazy time. However it did not stop me from having a good time. I wanted to get some shopping done which is how I found Bella. She came to my hotel and pick me up on time. She greeted me with a friendly and warm smile that makes me fall in love with this country even more. We went on lunch which we both enjoyed it very much. Then she took me to this amazing department store that literally has everything that you could ever ask for in SK. I have bought so much good stuff and Bella even helped me carry all of them back to my hotel. During the time of her service, I felt like she is one of my best friend. We had a great time together and this will not be the last time I see her that’s for sure. I know I will be booking her again for my next trip to SK. Thank you again and much appreciated.Written 29 September 2020

- PeeceRahn8880 contributionsSeoul day tour with Bella ParkWe are well travelled professional semi-retired couple in our 50s from Australia. We’ve had tour guides recommended by tripadvisor from Taiwan, China, Japan, Malaysia, Europe and America. Bella Park from Seoul is the best. Bella met us at the Hilton Millenium and we spent close to 8 hours with Bella. We saw the Seoul Tower, North Palace, Antique markets, had a wonderful seafood lunch and chimek for dinner. Her personal insights, information, energy and sincerity made our Korea trip really worthwhile. Bella is an outstanding tour guide; an absolute joy to experience.Written 12 October 2019
- Vinnysmom0 contributionsCan’t count on RobOur tour turned out ok but Rob lacked common courtesy in cancelling on us via his surrogate after assuring us he, personally, would be our guide. He never checked in to see how the tour went. Expected better.Written 31 December 2017
- geezlouisemc0 contributionsA wonderful insight tailored directly to your interestsRob's tour of Seoul around our chosen destinations kept us on our feet (both literally and figuratively) as he not only showed us the landmarks, but also introduced us to his wealth of knowledge. Rob was extremely patient even when our group wanted to sit and have an ice cream break! The tour went above and beyond any other tour my group and I have experienced, having it be both fun and educational. Choosing KoreanTourGuide's Rob to show us around Seoul will be a fond memory each of us will cherish, and I commend you for being able to deal with a group of 18 year old girls! Thanks, Rob!Written 25 July 2017
- Cecilia M0 contributionsSo much fun!Me and my friends stayed 10 days in Korea, and decided to havw our firsr day with a tour guidr so we chose rob! He was so much fun! He took us around to the Ihwa Mural Village which was beautiful and showed us the original wall that went around Seoul a looonnggg time ago. Overall, it was a really gun experience and having Rob on our firsy day really helped us understand the city we would be spending our following 9 days in! Thanks Rob!Written 26 June 2017
- meg d0 contributionsGreat tour guides in Busan and JejuWe booked two group tours with Rob, one in Jeju and one in Busan. We had excellent experiences on both tours. The tours were very comprehensive and informative. Mr Kim in Busan and Sunny in Jeju were fantastic guides. In setting up the tours, Rob was very easy to talk with and accessible. Highly recommend this company.Written 3 April 2017
- colorz780 contributionsMemorable winter holidayRob and his crew (bus driver Mr Kim, EJ and trainee Jay) did an amazing job in our recent 8 day trip to Seoul last month. We were a group of 15, age range 8yo to 75 yo. It was my 4th trip to Seoul, but first time for the rest of the group. So, the pressure was on me to showcase how fabulous Seoul is. Thanks to Rob, my burden was lifted tremendously. He helped plan the trip and organise transportations to and from airport and also on the days we had tours. We enjoyed the food places he and his crew brought us. The trip to Noryanjin Fishmarket was great. Mr Kim knew a vendor there and we managed to get reasonably priced seafood with Jay's amazing bargaining skills. Rob is quick to respond to emails and we even created a whatsapp group chat during our tour for ease of communication. Everything was well planned. The tours were insightful and informative. The pace was just right, slow enough for the oldies to walk and look, yet quick enough for the highly energised kids and adults. So, to Rob and your crew, thank you for making our Seoul trip a memorable one. Kamsahabnida.Written 9 January 2017
- maziahmazlan0 contributionsPrompt & HelpfulUnfortunately, I didn't get the chance to tour with Rob but he was attentive to my queries on customized and unconventional tours like farm visits and mudflat fishing. He is prompt in his replies and offered alternatives when certain activities (eg. melon-picking) were unavailable. Another time, perhaps!Written 14 May 2016
- smallgroupsonly0 contributionsGreat guide, excellent response with inquiries and booking prior to tripRob Koh has put the whole package together if you are looking for English speaking guide in Korea. From our first inquiry to saying good by after 3 days of touring with rob the experience could have have been more pleasant. Rob accommodated all of our requests and customized our time to maximize our time. We will be recommending Koreantourguide.com to family and friends!!!Written 6 March 2016
- Louise K0 contributionsGood experience if short of timeI enquired about the Traditional Markets to Hyper market Tour, but there were no other enquiries, therefore I booked a private tour instead. This was great, because I could choose a time that suited me. I was met at my hotel and we travelled by subway to the various locations. I could ask questions about the culture and the lifestyle as well as the food. We visited the supermarket and a traditional market. This tour was a great way for me to see lots and learn about the culture in a short amount of time. However I wonder if I would have got more out of it if I had of been more adventurous in what I wanted to try at the market.Written 5 December 2015
- LSC_tripadvuro0 contributionsOutstanding Tour Guide ExperienceTo the best informative tour ever! KoreanTourGuide.com came as a recommendation from my brother-in-law. I can't stress how helpful these guys were for my stay in Korea. We actually got 2 guides for the price of one. It was actually for training purposes but it was still nice because we were a group of 6. We started out with an itinerary, but we wanted to change some things last minute. Not a problem. Went to the folk village, fish market and some museums. I think I learned more about Korea that one day than I ever did taking a class on Korea during school.Written 28 June 2015

I had the honor of meeting Pam yesterday June 15, 2022. I was picked up and dropped back off to my hotel which was relieving. Pam helped me understand the public transit system as I will be here for a couple of months and really explained how to read the maps and pay attention to where the buses/subways are going. Although it was raining, we still were able to visit a lot of spots such as Gyeongbokgong Palace, Hanok Village, Insadong, and many more places. I was able to learn a lot of the history behind each of the places. I also was able to see some of the filming locations from Goblin. I really enjoyed having Pam as my tour guide as she was extremely friendly and easy to talk to.

Rob and Ruth helped us arrange multiple aspects of our two week trip. They did a great job helping us set upp tours and rides all over the country, and answering about a million questions. They also were flexible with our schedule alterations. Really appreciate the help they gave us yo make a great trip. I strongly recommend them to anyone wanting to plan and customise a trip to Korea.
Also, Kory took us on two days of sightseeing around Seoul. He was an excellent and fun guide and a good driver! We learned a lot and enjoyed spending time with him. Also a strong recommendation!

When I travel, I prefer to use the best guide in each city. To accomplish this goal, I spend many hours researching available guide services. When a guide or hotel exceeds my expectations, I enjoy sharing this information on TripAdvisor so that others may benefit from my experience.
While planning my trip to Seoul, I noted that Rob at Korean Tour Guide seemed to have the most consistent recommendations from other travelers. I chose Rob to be our guide for Seoul and it was a great decision. Rob was a phenomenal guide – engaging, educated, and provided interesting insight into Korean history and culture. We had a fun day and were able to see many sights in Seoul. As a bonus, Rob speaks perfect English.
We had a great day with Rob and I would HIGHLY recommend his tour services. Rob was one of the best guides that we have ever met. Rob responded to all emails in a timely and professional manner. Rob was prompt, professional, and engaging.
As with guides that we have used in other Asian countries, Rob will quote a price for his tour services and then you will pay for entrance fees for yourself and guide if needed (the entrance fees are VERY reasonable/CHEAP in South Korea) and taxi fees (if needed - which are also VERY reasonable).
In addition to a city tour, Rob assisted me in arranging a DMZ + JSA tour. He has a great description of what the DMZ and JSA are on his website. The DMZ + JSA tours are guided bus tours – that’s the only option. It’s a very controlled tour and private guides are not allowed for the DMZ/JSA – so Rob will not accompany you on that day. Since the traveler must obtain approval to visit the DMZ/JSA area, the tour must be arranged ahead of time and it was great to have Rob’s assistance with this as well.
I would highly recommend Rob from KoreanTourGuide for all of your travels/tours to Seoul.

Rob Koh was exactly the the right guide for our short visit to Seoul--we wanted to see, learn, eat and drink it all in four days, and Rob helped us do just that.
Having lived in the States for many years, Rob's communication style was a breeze (and he has a great book sense of humor.) We wanted time on our own and time with a guide, and our plans changes several times...but Rob rolled with us and made modifications to best meet our needs.
We chose two day-long tours in Seoul (north of the Han River, and then south of the river) that incorporated culture, history, and the modern scene...oh, and food. Amazing food. We also added in the BBQ tour (Monday evenings) that was a great finale to our trip.
I hope to return to see more of Korea, and if/when I do, I know my first email will be to Rob Koh.

We spent the day with Shannon, a colleague of Rob and Kang of Korean Tour Guide, and were delighted with our experience. Our one day in port off a cruise ship was enhanced by having a private guide, as we had more time to spend on our interests than others on the ship who took the group tours. When we left prescription sunglasses in the car, they shipped them to us in the US efficiently and without complaint. We felt well cared for, and found both Shannon and Rob to be personable and helpful.

Rob arranged for our family of 5 people to tour with Genie Lee. We had a wonderful full day tour with Genie. We were picked up on time at our hotel with a driver. Genie arranges for us to rent traditional Korean Hanbok near the Gyongbokgung Palace. We had many great pictures inside the palace. We visited Bukchon Hanok Village. Genie took us to a local restaurant in Insadong for delicious Korean bulgogi lunch and shopping. My teenage daughter loves kpop music. Genie and our driver took us to Gangam. My daughter had a great time with Genie in a kpop building with so many activities. Genie is an excellent tour guide. Her English is very good. Her knowdleges and professional services were greatly appreciated. She has a great sense of humor. She advised us where to eat and shop in Seoul at the end of our tour. Rob, Genie and their driver provided our family a great day in Seoul. Thank you Genie.

Rob was our tour guide and did a great job! He was with us on a 2 day trip from Seoul to Andong, which was focused on the history and traditions of Korea. This trip was organized by the Rakkojae Hanok Hotel (in Bukchon, Seoul), where we stayed before and after the trip. We experienced Korean culture and natural beauty through visits to palaces, a confucian school, the Hahoe UNESCO listed village in Andong, a couple of performances (martial arts and one with traditional masks), and a few walks through parks and countryside. Rob proved to be a fount of knowledge, was happy to follow our rhytm and to add perspective wherever we went on what we were looking at. Very enjoyable experience all round!

The six of us had a fabulous time with Rob. The fact that he lived in the US for ten or fifteen years was a definite plus. His English is as good as mine. That made it easy. He took us to the high spots explained it all, including the tourists in Korean traditional costume, who were a hoot at the Palace and folk museum. He timed the whole day just perfectly, including hitting the changing of the guard at the Palace. His insights into life in Korea helped us understand this fascinating up-and-coming culture.

Tours by "Tour Guide" is the best way to see and enjoy the modern and the culture, history, restaurants and scenery of South Korea. We asked Rob to design and customize a memorable exploration of Seoul and South Korea. He was very supportive and we really appreciated his immediate response to all our questions. We were very pleased with his recommendations.
Rob took us to wonderful sites, fascinating towns, temples, historical sites and to excellent local restaurants. He showed us many places we never would have found on our own, even with the latest guide books. We could not have had a better companion throughout the trip. His positive, genial personality presented every aspect of the country. He was well-informed about all of the places and sites we visited and the history behind them.
We also enjoyed the company of EJ, his assistant. He was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and made us feel a part of this wonderful country.
Without Rob and EJ, we would have missed many wonderful things without even knowing it. Korean Tour Guide is definitely the way to visit south Korea. You will be recommended for future clients. Thank you and Kamsahamnida!
