About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- nicosamneil0 contributionsGreat way to see Singapore!Their routes are so convenient although i think they could add more buses to cut down the waiting time to 30 mins and less, assured. They only have a kiosk inside the suntec city mall which is just near the place where they park their buses. The app they have is also very convenient and accurate. Highly recommended to see the architectural beauty of Singapore.Written 8 October 2024
- Road670892415910 contributionsBUS 29 NIGHT TOUR. AVOID ITNight Tour not really as advertised. Confused as to why we visited a reservoir. Tour guide difficult to hear or understand. We were promised to be dropped at the stop near our hotel by Captain Daniel Foo and our stop was announced as being second stop twice by the guide. Our hotel was yellow stop 12. We were actually dropped off at the Tang Marriot and told it was not far. My husband is disabled 73 years old and due to a lung condition finds walking difficult. This did not seem to bother either the guide or Captain Daniel Foo who had previously asked us to make a favourable trip advisor report. SORRY CAPTAIN AND BUS 29 THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN. The whole tour felt rushed. The guide walked so fast several disabled people were almost left behind at the Garden on the Bay. A real problem when there is only one lift.Written 28 September 2024
- 8belland0 contributionsGreat way to see the sightsGreat way to see the sights around Singapore. Allows you to get off and spend some time in areas that interest you then continue your journey. The app was really handy to be able to see when the next bus was approaching so we could maximise our time in places. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Written 28 September 2024
- lynh8600 contributionsGreat day tour ( except after it rained the top deck flooded and no drainage), night tour rushed, left patrons behindDay tour great, but don’t bother with night tour. 2 mins late to bus and you’re left behind. Young family left stranded with pram in bus. Rushed and not enjoyable. We got off and didn’t finish tour.Written 13 September 2024
- vivhudson270 contributionsGreat day out exploringThe system works smoothly and is very easy. Great way to get around singapore while getting to see places you wouldn't get to see if your just walking aroundWritten 3 September 2024
- Freedom030792203680 contributionsBig Bus SingaporeA good overview of the city. Lots of buses coming at regular times. Would reccomend this tour. Use the bus app to keep track of buses and maps of the tour.Written 3 September 2024
- Rdoherty_xx0 contributionsDon’t waste your money with this oneWe did the heritage tour and unless you want a history of shopping malls there isn’t any other knowledge transfer With limited to no actual history of Singapore or the areas. Frankly a poor show in comparison to every other big bus tour I have done in other countries and a complete waste of money.Written 1 September 2024
- Beescottee0 contributionsGreat introduction to Singapore! Recommend for new travelersGreat start to discovering Singapore - I highly recommend doing this for your first day particularly if you're uncertain on which particular places you'd like to visit. They have two different lines that cover both the new and old places of Singapore. I find that the history they present is quite sanitized but it's good if you want to have a general idea of the country and a fast way to familiarize yourself with the city. They'll give you free earphones and the voiceovers are available in five languages, all clearly dictated. I like that they make it easy to see the routes through their app and their map. Highly recommend getting an app if you will be taking this bus for more than one day. It's easy to see when a bus is approaching your route and where the other buses are located. Stay at the top part of the bus! We were able to get some great pictures of the main attractions with little to nothing obscuring our view. However, if it's too hot or if it's raining the bottom part is cold enough. I liked that we were able to stop at any place because it was easier to go see multiple locations again and pick it up the next day!Written 30 August 2024
- 820gillg0 contributionsGood way to see SG!We bought the explorer ticket - 2 days hop on hop off AND night tour. You definitely want to do the night tour and if you’re lucky enough to have Rodger as your guide, you’re in for a great night. The description of the night tour does not do it justice. You do more than what it says.Written 27 August 2024
- Charlie T0 contributionsOnly way to see SingapoeeRed Line, Yellow Line. To really see Singapore Big Bus, Hop on, Hop off is an absolute must. You choose which route or line you want to tour and simple hop off one and get on another one later. Bonus free wifi availableWritten 19 August 2024
- TJeinsteinwood0 contributionsA good way to orientate yourself in the cityAs other reviews have said, this has 2 routes to ride.. city route takes 1.5hrs and heritage takes 1 hr. Plus points Buses are pretty frequent 20-40mins apart (depending on traffic) Getting on a SunTec (originating stop) means you can take a photo of all the bus times and then calculate where the next bus is Alternatively if you have WiFi or phone signal you can use the app to see where the next bus is. Some of the buses have a covered section upstairs which is handy when it rains! Minus points The stops are not well labelled on the street - the app does have photos of them so screenshot these when you have WiFi so you can find them later on The commentary is limited The buses we rode often pulled away when we were walking upstairs - this was difficult particularly when it had been raining and the stairs were more slippery. It would be so much nicer if the driver waited for everyone to get upstairs before pulling away The bus map is not very detailed - knowing what attractions are where and more MRT stops would be so handy We bought a 1 day pass and rode both routes which was useful to see how the city connects (which obviously you can't so much on MRT). Useful for 1 day...Written 11 August 2024
- 292SarahH0 contributionsGreat way to see cityWe used this to see the city and orientate ourselves and then on the second day we used it to go back to places we wanted to visit and get around. There are 2 routes: red is the heritage and yellow modern land marks. Red is shorter and takes to China and India as well as Raffles. Yellow takes in Gardens by the Bay, the Botanical Gardens and handily Hard Rick Cafe but it is long. On time mostly although 1 driver failed to stop at the Singapore Flyer and didn’t apologise even though it meant we had to get a taxi back to it! He suggested we stayed on until he returned 1.5 hours later. Generally a great service so buy the 2 day ticket and if you are using the hop on and off make sure you know your stops.Written 8 August 2024
- Julz z0 contributionsUse a different company. It will be about half the price. I feel ripped off!TBH you can get it cheaper with another bus company. I booked it through their app and it was so expensive $45 US. Which is about $80 Singapore. Their competition was only $35 Singapore and you could buy it on the bus. The information was good. Probably should have a few more stops. Couldn’t under the driver when announcing as it was all muffled.Written 31 July 2024
- karicktruck0 contributionsUnderwhelmedSingapore....you are SO state of the art, so sophisticated.... you CLAIM to want tourists to visit but then....meh. Your tour buses are old, the audio commentary systems do not work much of the time and when they do....there is more music than substance. Considering the cost....2nd most expensive of 20 previous citiy"s tours....meh. Must say the number of buses running the route was good but stops where very poorly marked....no decal denoting the Big Bus Stop except at the originating 0 stop....Most stops were at the city stops so plenty of opportunity to advise that yes, this is where you can catch the Big Bus Tour. For all I actually learned about the city in the commentary I advise you google your top interests and invest in a tourist bus pass...just ride the city double decker buses around.Written 24 July 2024

We were expecting to see the Light Show at the Gardens by the Bay, which is the only reason we signed up for this relatively expensive bus ride (138 USD for three adults). The first stop was 20 minutes at the city damn, just to see the cargo ships parked in the Bay. This was very boring. The second stop was a 45 minute pause at a local food court where we separated and ate dinner at our own pace. We could have done this on our own, and not paid a tour company to take us there. The final stop was advertised on TA as the Garden Rhapsody sound and light show. Because it was New Year's Day, the tour company only drove us around to see the city Christmas lights, which none of us really cared about.
I don't know if the miscommunication was between Big Bus and Trip Advisor, or if Big Bus simply chose to change the tour without notifying TA, but it was a huge disappointment. I chose the bus tour only because one of our party is disabled, and I thought she could see the music and light show without having to walk too far. But next time I will just go straight to Gardens by the Bay, and not book through TA or Big Bus.

Hi Melissa D, it is disappointing for us to hear that your experience was anything less than great.
We wish to share that, due to the Christmas Wonderland event at Gardens by the Bay, access to the Supertrees Grove area is limited to Christmas Wonderland ticket holders. Those without tickets can still observe the show from crowded vantage points. To improve our guests' overall experience, we have replaced the Garden Rhapsody show at Gardens by the Bay with the annual Christmas light-up along Orchard Road.
Notifications about these modifications have been disseminated across multiple platforms, including Viator. We value your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We appreciate your valuable feedback and the time you've taken to share it with us. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Take care.

Gee's friendly and approachable demeanor immediately put us at ease, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere on the bus.Gee's knowledge about the city was truly impressive. We did the Garden light show . Well worth doing. Guide Peter and driver Willy were excellent . Some passengers on the bus were being a pain but the staff kept their cool and handled the situation. They even dropped us all off at various locations on the way home close to your accommodation.

Terrible misleading information. It's NOT a hop on Hop off bus as advertised . There is only one bus. If you are 1 minute late to redeem your tickets (and it's a maze to find the counter) you miss the tour. No refund. No apolling. Lots of us were stranded having paid 200 dollars and expecting to be able to catch the next bus!

Dear Zoe Ellender,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a feedback. We appreciate your input and would like to address your concerns regarding your recent experience.
Upon reviewing your booking, we noted that your tour was scheduled for 18:15hrs, with a check-in time of 30 minutes prior. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, and you arrived at our shop at 18:19hrs due to your taxi driver dropping you off at the wrong location. Our boarding location is clearly stated on our booking confirmation voucher & in no way we provided any false & misleading information leading you to miss the tour.
Upon review of the CCTV footages, the bus has left and our team member on duty at the time kindly suggested that you could join the tour at the second stop, Lau Pa Sat, to help you catch up with the group. However, we understand that you did not accept this suggestion & asked for a refund instead. Throughout the conversation, our team member were assisting & providing you with the information to catch up with the group.
At Big Bus Tours, we value all our team members and expect that they are treated with respect, like how we treat all our guest. They are committed to ensuring our guests have a memorable experience and are always ready to assist in any way possible.
Once again, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with the exceptional experience that we aim to deliver to all our guests.
If you require further assistance, please reach us via feedback@ducktours.com.sg.
Thank you.

The tour was an easy way to see a few key landmarks from the comfort of the open air bus. Numbers are limited to ensure everyone gets a seat upstairs and they run a few buses so no one misses out. The food stop whilst rushed is a good introduction to Singapore Hawkers markets. Our guide did a good job of explaining the sites and an informative tour on the way home from the Gardens by the Bay, dropping customers back at locations close to their hotels

The Light Show was magical. Guide Peter was exceptional. He was kind, funny, knowledgeable, passionate about Singapore and had me wishing other countries would follow their lead. Captain Daniel Sim was great too - such a careful driver. Guide Peter & Captain Sim went over and above what you’d hope for in a tour.

There were 3 parts to the tour: 1. Visit the Marina Barrage, 2 Visit Lau Pa Sat a large street food area and 3 finish at Rhapsody in the Gardens, the free evening light show at Gardens on the Bay. Firstly the barrage was nothing special but it did provide a good view back across the bay. The rain came down in intense showers so the street food bit was all about shelter. The sample food was good but we had already eaten dinner so we ended up gawking at the huge food area and the hundreds of people there. We watched the fantastic light show from a sheltered position. It was excellent but slightly spoiled by the weather. On the way back the guide arranged to get everyone back or near to their hotel. That was a total bonus particularly in the weather.

We took this tour a few days ago, but as we are still struggling with the poor performance of our tourguide Peter we thought we share our frustration to prevent others from a similar experience. Poor equipment (a tiny malfuntioning loudspeaker, producing nothing but a distorted almost painful noise) and even worse, the irrelevance of his explanation throughout the entire tour were utmost disappointing. In all our sightseeing throughout the world we have never had a poorer performance. Singapore deserves better! We cannot recommend this tour at all.

This tour was terrible and a waste of money. It spent far too much time at the first stop, meaning we were so rushed at the best stop, the hawker market, where we were given only half an hour to see it, choose what to have for dinner and eat it. The light show was one of the most uninteresting things I have seen. We were also told that the bus would drop us back at our hotel, but rather we were dumped in China Town and with three taxis refusing to take us, we were forced to walk 3km back to the hotel, which was very difficult for my partner who is in his 70s. When we complained, we received a fob off, and any follow ups were blocked by the chat bot. Do not waste your money.

Where is Suntec city Mall and how do I get there from Village Hotel Bugis
Written 15 August 2019
Suntec City is easily accessible with regular city bus or taxi, or if you buy a Hop-on Hop-off bus pass, you will get there. If choosing a Hop-on, hop-off bus, make sure you get the one that has a one-way free transfer to Suntec City like the Duck and Hippo one.
