A Great Bike Tour of Singapore
My friends and I had an amazing bike tour with Fred, whose good humour, professionalism, and intimate knowledge of Singapore made for an incredible afternoon.

His expertise on Singapore’s history and contemporary landscape made this trip more than a sightseeing opportunity. Rather, it helped us see how Singapore has grown along its deeply treasured cultural roots, making for a very exciting and dynamic place to explore. Going through Little India was a definite highlight, as was the sugarcane juice recommended by Fred.

I would recommend this tour for people on the first couple days, as Fred’a widespread knowledge of what the city has to offer will help to adjust your itinerary, and to enjoy the city like a local.

Fred was able to guide of group safely, handling a group with a range of comfort with biking, and answered our questions patiently and insightfully. Would absolutely recommend!

Great experience exploring Singapore!

We booked a 4 hour bike tour of Singapore which was the perfect amount of time to explore the key sights. Our guide, Fred, was extremely customer service-oriented, took care of us, ensured no one fell behind and was very knowledgeable.

The roads were pretty flat and there was only one area where we were riding our bikes with cars around us (and even that felt safe). Otherwise, we rode our bikes on the sidewalk/bike lanes.

I would definitely recommend for anyone who would want to see some of the key sites and then decide where to do a deep dive later on one's own. We had a 12 year old and 15 year old who were able to bike around without any issue/fatigue.

The best way to sightsee in Singapore

If you’re visiting Singapore, this bike tour is a MUST! I tagged along last minute on this tour with a new friend I had met in a hostel, and it was the best decision I made. Fred was our tour guide and I was beyond impressed by his encyclopedic knowledge of Singapore’s history. His storytelling is so compelling to listen to and I came out of this appreciating having learned how Singapore became the country it is today. For 85 SGD (about $62 USD), this 4 hour bike tour was well worth the value getting to see so many of Singapore’s main attractions in one go. Plus, it is a lot of fun to be outside and ride a bike instead of just taking public transit everywhere!! The cherry on top is that Fred takes MULTIPLE pictures of the group & each individual on the bike tour - he is an excellent photographer. Don’t miss out on this, highly recommend doing this the first day of your visit to Singapore.

Lion Bike Tour - highly recommended

This was a great tour. I wouldn't necessarily have thought Singapore a good city to explore by bike but it was as a) you can ride on the pavements so everything is accessible and b) the sights are quite spread out and it would be difficult to cover them all on foot. I would recommend booking the tour for your first day as it will really help you get yourself oriented. Fred was a great and enthusiastic guide, and was very quick to send us pictures after the ride which will prove a great memento of our visit to Singapore, a city that exceeded our best expectations. My only advice would be to shop around as the tour can be bought through various different Websites and there seemed to be a sizeable difference in the cost for the same tour on different sites.

Amazing introduction to Singapore!

Fred was an amazing tour guide - extremely knowledgeable and passionate about giving us an introduction to the sights of Singapore along with a brief history of how this nation came to be. This tour was succinct, well organized, included a great itinerary, and is worth every penny. I can’t recommend it enough especially if you luck out and have Fred as your tour guide. I felt like he made our group’s experience top-notch and really took the time to get to know what we wanted to learn about. Tips: Take a bottled water and sunglasses. The bikes have little fanny pack bags on the handlebars for storing small basic things. Moisture-wicking or light clothes and sneakers suggested.

100% safe 100% FUN!

Safety: Yes! The bike ride was 100% safe. No hills, some bike ways and we biked at a chilled speed. Strongly recommend families with kids or even for single travelers who want to know the summary of Singapore in four hours.

Fun: Yes! It was extremely fun because Fred, my guide was informative and humorous. He explained about the history of each town with images from his folder. He is a very kind and funny guide so the whole trip made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable.

About Fred, my bike tour guide: very patient. One member forgot her bag but without any hesitation, Fred drove his bike and found it for her. He was positive and solved the problem very quickly. During the bike tour, he was humorous and it was evident that Fred was well liked by all the group in such a short amount of time.

Photos: Fred took individual and group videos and photos during our stops. So you don’t have to worry about taking it while you are biking.

Overall, Fred made the bike tour exiting and fun. I would do this again if I would come back to Singapore again!

Fabulous bike tour!

This was one of the best, if not the best, bike tour I've done, and I've done a number of them all over the world. The bikes were easy to ride and in good condition, and our wonderful guide James was so energetic and fun that 4 hours seemed to fly by! We saw and learned so much about Singapore, took photos, and enjoyed some nice refreshments along the way. Almost all the riding was on sidewalks or separate bike paths but in some areas among pedestrians, too, so riders should be comfortable on the bike and have decent bike handing skills (helmets can be requested in advance, if desired). Though a large number of folks were supposedly signed up, the guides broke us up into smaller groups so we had only 7 riders in our group, plus James our guide. I loved that James used a mic & speaker so he could be more easily heard even if you were not right alongside him. We made many stops in interesting places (and a couple restroom breaks), and had opportunities to take photos but I think the ones James took for us (and sent to us via WhatsApp) will be my favorites. Thank you, James, for a great time in Singapore.

Awesome tour despite the rain

Absolutely loved this tour, the thing I didn't like was that I hadn't been able to do it earlier! This is a great way to orient yourself with the city, the guide gives lots of tips of places and attractions to come back to and spend more time at. Really loved having the small snack and drink included as well! For about an hour of the trip the weather was terrible, torrential rain. The guide was luckily carrying ponchos for all of us, and adapted the tour slightly so we had chances to get out of the rain, it ended up being part of the experience!
Not only would I recommend this tour to anyone, I have already recommended this to a friend of mine who also did the tour and also loved it :)

A Fantastic Tour!

We attended the Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore on our first day visiting Singapore from New Zealand and would HIGHLY recommend it to any one visiting who is visiting for their first, second or perhaps even third, fourth or fifth time, it was great!

Being on the bikes allowed us to cover a lot more ground than we would of walking whist still allowing us to see and take in everything around us which can be lost on public transport. The bike ride itself was perfectly paced with clear guidance and direction and many stops along the way.

There was a bit for everyone on this tour. History, famous land marks, local precincts, food and more!

There were 12 participants in our tour from different places in the world whom were lovely to connect with following the disconnect from COVID.

Fred was our tour guide and largely contributed to the enjoyment of the day, he truly went above and beyond and offered his advice and suggestions following the tour itself. He was knowledgeable, approachable, considerate of everyone’s needs and the Singaporean heat, relatable and a lot of fun.

We have come away from the tour with a wealth of knowledge about Singapore and the world given it’s multiculturalism, with an extensive list of places to visit and things to cram into our stay and global connections. Thanks Fred for the fantastic morning.

On your bike - great way to see Singapore

Despite the torrential rain on the morning of the bike tour, Holden was able to still provide an amazing tour. I have done many tours across the globe and Holden's ability to captivate the cyclists in such inclement conditions was amazing. I have spent a significant amount of time in Singapore over the years, but Holden was able to take me to places that I still hadn't been too. Highly recommend this tour to anyone as a tempter to Singapore - with the view of going back to some of the locations and seeing them further in depth. Added bonus - did the tour just before the Grand Prix and thus was able to cycle some of the track. Holden, a true Singaporean.
