Overview
Journey through an undiscovered land of wild desert landscapes, snow capped peaks, herds of alpaca and arrive at Rainbow Mountain, hidden deep in the Andes. Since the pre-Inca times the mountain has been a place of worship and offerings. This tradition continues today. During this 15-hour guided trip you will see picturesque villages, beautiful adobe houses, herds of llamas and alpacas, along with a magnificent view of the glacier Ausangate. With the beauty and uninterrupted solitude, this is a spectacular journey for hikers who love a true outdoor adventure. Includes breakfast and lunch.

What to Expect
Head down to your Cusco hotel lobby for early morning pickup. As you make the challenging 3-hour climb up the mountain, your guide will provide assistance and point out the local flora and fauna. At the summit, admire the mountain's colorful landscape and learn about the geological processes responsible for it. Snap photos of the Ausangate Glacier and rest for a bit before making your way back down for lunch in Quessiuno. Relax in the vehicle on the ride back to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off in Regocijo Square. Please note: Tour participants should be acclimated to the altitude and in strong physical condition.
