Gary, Ramon, and Fredi made our trip to Machu Picchu intimate and unforgettable! Our group was only 4 people, which made it easy to move around and get to know each other. I won't cover the full itinerary, but Gary did a great job of keeping us informed of each activity, and truly taught us so much about Incan and Quechuan culture!
The first stop of this trip was at Manos de la comunidad, where we fed and learned about llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, and their importance to the people of Peru. Thanks to Gary, we also had the opportunity to interact with a friendly baby condor and get some great pictures with the animals! We then learned about dying and weaving processes, and how to determine if something was really made from baby alpaca. Gary taught us about the burial processes of the Quechua people, and many other cultural practices.
Besides Machu Picchu, we stopped at many other ruins, including Pisac and Ollantaytambo, and Gary made sure to keep a good pace so we had enough time to see everything without feeling rushed or too tired. He was very open to questions, and often offered to take pictures for us, which was greatly appreciated!
Initially it seemed like we may have needed to walk up 1.5hrs to see Machu Picchu since locals at Aguas Calientes were organizing a strike, but Gary went above and beyond to keep us updated on what was happening and our different options. He sacrificed sleep and meals to ensure we'd be able to take a bus, which was a relief since it did not seem like an easy walk up.
Overall, Gary was an incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful guide, who worked hard to make sure we had a good time. He often communicated different options we could do, and taught us so much about Incan/Quechuan culture. Ramon's driving deserves a shout out as well, as he navigated some bumpy roads with ease. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Machu Picchu

We had a great time from start to finish, thanks to our passionate, knowledgeable tour guide, Gary, and the lovely driver, Roman.
We requested for a 6-days, private tour, with 2 days for each of the city: Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. All the site seeing, transportation, communication for those 6 days was perfectly taken care of. Gary's amazing wealth of Inca knowledge and Andean culture have turned all the key sites into a beautiful yet tragic painting of history. Along the way, It was truly wonderful how Gary not only shared with us about history of the sites, but also about animal/livestock, special plant species, and the way of life. The experiences we had with the tour and with Peru are truly amazing and will be remained with us forever. We definitely recommend this company, which is owned and operated by the Peruvian themselves.

We booked a 6 person private bus tour which picked us up from our hotel and took us all to the various sites. Booking with Machu Pichu Latin America was very easy and Fredi was very accommodating with adding a second excursion the night before it was set to begin. He even met with us around 8PM in our hotel lobby to finalize the itinerary for a second hiking trip.
Our guide Gary (Garcia) was energetic, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the Inca and colonial history of Machu Pichu and the Sacred Valley. The guide and driver were always on time and kept us on schedule without feeling we were being rushed. Gary also always knew the best times to visit places and the best locations for pictures.

Customer service with Machu Picchu Latin America is outstanding. The other reviewers have all mentioned this before, and I just want to say it again that they really take care of all our needs. We had the great fortune of having Gary as our guide for the Moray and Salinas de Maras tour, and also the two day tour of Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Gary was only supposed to be our guide for the Sacred Valley part of the tour, however on the day of there was a train strike (5/19) and we were not able to take the train from Ollantaytambo to Agua Caliente. Fredi, the owner of the company, instead arranged for Gary and our driver Ramon to accompany the three of us passengers all the way to Santa Teresa in a very comfortable van. Gary then guided us to walk the six miles along the train track into Agua Caliente (with lovely scenery along the way), just so we could still visit Machu Picchu the next day. Gary really took care of everything the two days he spent with us, checking us into a very good hotel, arranging dinner, meeting us in the hotel to take us to the bus station in the morning, and guided us in Machu Picchu, then arranging lunch before putting us on the train back to Ollantaytambo. When we stepped off the train, Gary and Ramon were already there waiting to take us back to Cusco. Even though we couldn’t tour the Secret Valley due to the train strike, we had a perfect day in Machu Picchu including climbing the very tough yet very rewarding Montaña Machu Picchu, and it was largely thanks to Gary. Gary’s passion for the mountains is also very contagious. It really made us want to come back to do the Inca Trail one day. To make it short, I highly recommend this agency if you want your Machu Picchu experience to be hassle free.

My wife and I undertook a package of tours with Conde Travel - all were led by the very talented Willy. Our package comprised a half-day city tour, Sacred Valley tour, Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain hike. Willy also provided airport transfer services.
Our tours were originally booked for 2020, but, of course, Covid got in the way. Conde was extremely responsive through this period and carried our bookings through to October 2022 when we eventually were able to make this trip.
Willy is one of the Guide Gods, up there with the best we have experienced anywhere in the world, and we travel a lot. He is extremely well organised and punctual; and, more importantly he is a very knowledgeable, friendly and generous with his time and support.
We very strongly recommend Willy as your guide and Conde Travel as your agency. They will ensure that you have a sensational trip! Mike & Munny

First, The Itinerary was on point! No hiccups throughout which is outstanding in itself considering the complex coordination of transportation that included vans, trains & buses plus a very decent accommodation at Aguascalientes for an overnight stay for my family. I highly recommend upgrading the train ride to the Vistadome and the admission tickets to Pisac and Ollantaytambo ruins which both sites build up to Machu Picchu the following day.
Second, our guide was key that enriched our experience with history, agriculture, culture and his passion ensured we were completely satisfied with respect to all the senses. Michael introduced the Choclo, a must try for everyone. He shared his local knowledge of plants, architecture, food and he had thorough knowledge of Inka ruins; and he definitely knew where the breath taking views were to take priceless pictures with my family and to share with friends.
A complete turnkey service from Cusco. Simply get to Cusco and book your hotel/AirBNB and hand it over to Machu Picchu Latin America and prepare for an amazing experience that will exceed your expectations.
Thank you Michael and Fredi for the priceless memories and keeping my family safe.
We appreciate you!

Gary was just an amazing tour guide, so knowledgeable about his ancestors and passionately gave information while keeping the tour moving. He even squeezed in an extra trip to Pisac ruins which was not on our original itinerary. Such an enjoyable experience and would recommend for anyone only next time I will book a longer tour to soak in more scenery and history. Book without hesitation.

Everything from booking to execution was flawless.
Once we booked we were contacted by email/WhatsApp to make sure all our questions were answered. We were given a very detailed itinerary to help us understand what was coming up. This was a turnkey tour all we had to do was show up and enjoy.
Our tour guide Bernardo went out of his way to make sure everyone in the group was comfortable and made all the necessary arrangements for our luggage to be secured so we can enjoy our time. With altitude sickness slowing us down Bernardo was extremely patient and supportive.
If you’re looking for a Machu Picchu tour, I highly recommend working with Machu Picchu Latin America tours and Bernardo as his knowledge and kindness makes the trip more enjoyable.

I booked this tour as I was told that you need to book machu pichu in advance before arriving in cusco. Although you pay extra for this private tour I would say it was a 100% worth it. Both days were very eventful and we were given so many interesting facts about the Incas and machu pichu. Gary are guide is so passionate about his job and his ancestors history which adds impact to this tour. He was very helpful throughout the whole trip. We got to go to the main entrance of machu pichu on route 1 and 2 which not everyone gets to see so it’s worth booking for this reason. Also the hotel you stay in aguas calientes is great. Thank you very much for a great tour and experience. Would 100% recommend this to anyone who is coming to Peru in the future.

Some of the downfalls of tours is that it becomes too generic and robotic. This was NOT the case for our tour. We were promptly picked up from our hotel in Cusco in the morning. We were in a group of 8 people and our tour guide, Miguel (Michael) was so genuine and warm throughout. The stops that we took were all wonderful - from feeding alpacas, seeing a rescued condor, visiting baby alpaca shops, and meeting family owned diamond shops, not only did we get to explore the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, but we were able to absorb a lot of Peru's many culture and history. Miguel was so passionate to share about his heritage and culture, and I love that so much in any tour that I take.
We had lunch in Urubamba at a buffet, and cost 65 soles (not including drinks). From there, we drove to Ollantaytambo. Before boarding our train, we hiked up the Archaeological Park, which, believe it or not, was more challenging than Machu Picchu. Miguel shared with us about rock formation representing the Inca God.
We stayed at Hotel Ferre in Aguas Calientes and got a lovely room with a view of the stream. The room was loud from the stream. It may not be a cup of tea of some, but it was certainly a great night sleep for me.
One thing I would change with the tour for Machu Picchu is to add an extra hour in Machu Picchu. When we got back to Aguas Calientes, there was so much time to spare before we had to board our train back to Ollantaytambo.
What really got me emotional was when Michael said how thankful he is that we chose this tour, as he said one thing I will never forget: "This gives us hope". We all know by now that COVID truly affects the hospitality and tourism industry, but for other countries like Peru, tourism is a big contribution to their GDP. What will never change from this is that tourism to Michael is not a job, it's a passion. And I felt his genuine compassion all throughout.

You can stay at any hotel and see hotel travel desk or your guide will pick you up at any hotel
Sonesta hotel in cusco and hilton garden in cusco
When you book your guide they send an email asking you about hotel stay so they can pick you up.
I hope this helps

Hi, I am planning to reserve this for my trip next month (Aug 30 & 31). What is the cancelation policy if we need to cancel last minute?
Another question is, how long we will spend time at the Machu Pichu site?
Thanks.
Are there more specific instructions for booking the Waynapicchu tour that is excluded?

When you book your Machu Picchu tour ask the tour company to buy the ticket for you. During the peak season it needs to be reserved a few months ahead of time. You pay a little extra for it. Hope this helps.

is the double room just for the 2 people in the party? it wont be shared with anyone else? is there a bathroom in the room?
also is there anywhere that you can rent a walking stick before hiking machu pichu? the single room option with vistadome train is more expensive than the double room, dont understand that

Hi- I just got back from the trip this past weekend with my 2 teenage sons. The double room is 2 double beds meant for more than one attendee. A single would mean only one person in the room (thus making it more $$). This is not shared with anybody outside your party and has a private bathroom. The hotel is comfortable and convenient. Didn’t see anywhere to rent hiking sticks, it’s just stairs at Machu- I can’t see a need for a stick since you aren’t really “hiking”. Highly recommend this trip, Bernardo the guide is fantastic

Well at least the one I booked, we had to take the bus, I guess you could ask the tour company if those changes are possible. Although it may take a lot more time and would extend the 2-day schedule.
