This tour was an excellent introduction to wines from the Peljesac peninsula. I was with a friend and although 2 other people were supposed to join for the small group tour, it ended up being a private tour. We were picked up from our hotel around 1:30, drove up to Ston where we stopped to tour the small town, learned some history, saw the salt flats and had the option to try the famous Ston oysters. From there we visited 3 wineries, going from the small family domain of Milos (our favorite), and progressing to a fabulous location of Grgich, to a larger winery, so we got to experience a full range. From this selection, we are very impressed by the quality of the local wines. Often when travelling in different countries we do wine tours, and this one definitely stood out. Our guide, Bo, was extremely knowledge about wine and food of the area and even arranged to stop at a restaurant for an apéritif after the winery visits. A trip highlight.

This was an excellent tour of a beautiful area with rich wines and history. We were picked up promptly at our hotel, learned about the history of the region with a stop in Ston on the way, and enjoyed three small family wineries capped off by charcuterie served by the owner/winemaker of the last winery. I wouldn't plan any dinner reservations without coordinating with the guide, as the tour is at a relaxed pace (which we very much enjoyed) and was close to 8 hours from pickup to drop off.

5 stars isn't enough for this amazing private tour!

Vesna was an incredible hostess & guide. Very knowledgeable, charismatic and easy to talk to. Gave us a lot of flexibility with what we wanted to do, recommended food and activities for us to do as we made stops between the winery's as well as providing an excellent commentary of Croatia and the places we passed and visited.

Each winery had a very different atmosphere and feel to it, but all had lovely hosts / hostesses and gave us an amazing insight into Croatian wine and winemaking.

This tour has raised the bar for wine tastings!

Really excellent tour. Of the several wine tours we’ve done over the last few years i think this was probably the most informative. The guide gave great background on each of the vineyards and highlighted the difference in approach, as well as the history for each. We learned a lot, enjoyed a number of good wines, and got to see some lovely views as well. Highly recommend it!

My wife and I were in Dubrovnik to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Whilst it rained on the day of our tour, Bozidar organised an extra stop to sample oysters. His knowledge about wine and the history of the region was fantastic. Really good value for money.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our hotel pick up was at 2:30 pm and we arrived back at 9:00 pm. Our first stop was in Ston to learn about the Adriatic Sea salt industry. Next was a group decision to stop for the famous Ston oysters at a local oyster farm. Then it was onto the wineries Milos and Madirazza. The first winery is run by two brothers and their dad and it’s a labor of love that produces fantastic wines (export to California). They produce reds and one rose. The second winery is famous for producing Grk produced from a grape variety that can only be found on the island of Korcula. We appreciated the welcome received at both wineries. Leading our group of four was Tena from Insider Holidays who was very knowledgeable about Croatian wines from Dalmatia and specifically the Peljesac Peninsula. Our driver Pava did a great job. If you enjoy wine I highly recommend- you’ll have great wine and learn a lot about Croatian wine.

I really enjoyed this tour more than any wine tasting experience I have had. Bozidar was fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone! It’s about a 5 - 6 hour tour and it starts at 3 so you can spend the morning in the city or at the beach and afterward enjoy gorgeous sweeping views on this lovely drive of the Peljesac Peninsula. Bo is not only knowledgeable with wines but he has so much knowledge of the history of the region that the drive was as enjoyable as the wineries. I didn’t know Croatia had such amazing wines :) he is planning on doing a 7 day tour of the country’s wine regions and historical buildings starting in October - I will be back for that some day!!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon and evening with Bozidar during our recent visit to Dubrovnik. Bozidar is a food and wine expert, and has really specialized knowledge not only of Croatian wines - but also the history, culture and food scene of the whole region. We loved learning about the Croatian wines = which literally blew me away with their quality. I had never even heard about Croatian wines, and now I am a big fan. Bozidar is very knowledgeable, speaks great English and knows his subject matter. We had such a great day that we signed up for the cooking outing arranged by Bozidar in a lovely, country farm for the next day. Highly recommended.

We (a party of three adults) hugely enjoyed this six hour tour of the Peljesac Peninsula, including a visit to the charming town of Ston with its impressive city walls and salt flats, and a drive to the excellent Milos winery and Bartulovic winery, the latter establishment serving us a delicious and substantial snack of local anchovies, cured ham and tomatoes accompanied by their pleasant organic white red and sweet wines. We tasted some outstanding wines, especially the Stagnum 2007 and 2008 and Plavac bottles from Milos (even buying a case to ship back to the UK, which was easy and inexpensive). The drive around the Peljesac Peninsula was very beautiful and quiet, and the trip at sunset to look at the vines in the Dingac area on steep slopes overlooking the coast, was very pretty indeed. Our guide and local wine expert Bozidar Jukic was friendly, helpful and gave us a fascinating oversight into local history, the local wine industry, local culture in general. His English is of native speaker quality and he took great care to give us a personalised tour which was much more than just a wine tour but was an engaging and enjoyable overview of the local region, its history and its cultures. We would highly recommend this tour which in our view is excellent value for money.
