Overview
The desert around Dubai demands more than a passing look—it’s a place of beauty that showcases the UAE’s Bedouin heritage. This expedition does it justice with several touches not offered on standard tours, including a wildlife safari by vintage Land Rover, falconry display, bread- and coffee-making demos, and a 4-course, desert-camp dinner within a royalty-owned retreat.
What to Expect
After central Dubai hotel pickup, travel into the desert before settling into a shared, open-top vintage Land Rover—a classic desert workhorse used extensively in the 1950s.
Then, with a skilled driver, trundle through the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, hearing about Dubai’s history and wildlife, and watching for animals such as gazelle and oryx.
Stop for a sunset falconry display, and then head to a Bedouin-style desert camp within a private royal retreat. Here, enjoy an Arabic coffee and various Emirati activities like bread-making demonstrations, henna tattoos, and camel riding before sitting at a shared Bedouin-style table for a 4-course local dinner.
After a folk-dancing and music show—and optional shisha (Arabic water pipe)—enjoy a minivan transfer to your hotel, where your trip concludes.

We couldn't have asked for a better tour. The desert reserve is beautiful, more than enough food that was quality, kind tour guides, and programming that was captivating. You won't regret booking this tour. Our guide Abdul was great.

The camel ride is for 60-90 seconds. Is part of the camp experience in the evening while you are waiting for dinner, there is an opportunity for you to ride a short camel ride outside the camp.
