What to expect
After pickup from your Siem Reap hotel, travel to the Angkor Archaeological Park. Your guide points out notable architectural elements and explains the fascinating history of the temples and the Khmer Empire. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Ta Prohm Temple, also known as the “Jungle Temple” due to the trees that wind through the structure. Finally, arrive at the famous Angkor Wat, where your guide shows you where to take the best photos, and then head inside to explore further. At the end of the day, make your way to Bakheng Hill to watch the stunning sunset over Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. The service was great. From the pick up in hotel till the end of the trip. You get a private driver and a guide with who you can plan you’r day on you’r own speed or choice from what was planed. Cold towels and drink in the car are included in the price as a nice lunch in a restaurant with air conditioning. You will get real value for you’r money.

Booked a private tour and very glad we did. Our tour guide Horn was fantastic, very knowledgeable, helpful and flexible. He was able to answer any and all questioned we had.
Showed us around areas to try and miss the worst congested spots, was flexible with times and agenda - overall a lovely day.
Be warned there is a fair bit of walking and it can get quite hot. Although the nice air con car and the bottle water supplied was very useful!
I would recommend this trip and many others , and especially a stay in Cambodia, what a lovely place and such nice people.

We booked a private tour for just the two of us. Our driver and guide picked us up from our hotel. The first stop is always the ticket office to buy the pass to allow us to enter the archaeological park. It is an additional cost on basically all tours as they cannot be pre-purchased as they have your photo on them - be careful of anyone that says it is included.
Our guide led us through this process efficiently despite the number of people at the ticket office.
Our guide then advised we were best to go to Angkor first, so we agreed. We entered from the back entrance to avoid the crowds. We had a great tour, he was very knowledgeable and every time our pathway was blocked by crowds, he would take us on a detour. He knew where to get the best photos and explained all the intricate carvings and other things that we were looking at.
We then went on to Bayon Temple with the same knowledge, care and detail. He took some amazing photos for us, knowing just where the best results would be.
Lastly was Ta Prohm temple (my favourite - and I've never seen Tomb Raider!). We spoke to our guide's neighbour who lost both his legs fighting the Khmer Rouge and now works as a guard at the temple. Many photo opportunities and again a different path to the unguided tourists was taken.
Between each temple we were given cold water and cold face wipes. The guide always had the car ready, waiting and cool for us - opening doors and ushering us inside the cool sanctuary.
Because it was just the two of us, we got to dictate where we went and how long we spent there. It was a cloudy day so the sunset wasn't going to be that great - and we were tired, hot and bothered so we decided not to wait but to head back to the hotel.
We wouldn't have got half as much from our visit without the knowledge and insight of our guide, let alone the amazing photos of the two of us, and I highly recommend doing it with a guide.

Really enjoy this full day tour & it’s a must visit venue once in your life !
You can feel the religious culture, calm & spiritual atmosphere & amazing views there ! But most important is ~ an outstanding tour guide ! ‘Bean’ the native Cambodian guide had been served us very good with ample patience & knowledge to share ! He also brought us to try local Cambodian food with great care ! At a very reasonable price ! Highly recommended ! Thx to Bean again

CONS:
There were many problems with this tour. To start, understand that this is a booking agency that will then contact with a local booking agency, then will then in turn hire of the many licensed tour guides in Siem Reap. The only contact information they provide is a US phone number that was disconnected, and no local contact information for the guide or the booking agency. Here were the main problems:
1. We were supposed to be picked up at 9am from our hotel, but the guide never arrived and no one contacted us in any way. After trying to call the only number listed on our reservation (which was disconnected) and another similarly named booking agency we found online, we eventually found an email address for the booking agency on their website (it was not easy to find). After emailing that address, explaining that the guide was a no-show, and asking them to call us, they simply send us the phone number for the local agency with no explanation or apology. After our hotel's eternally patient concierge called that number for us, they said a guide would arrive in 30 min. After waiting 30 min, they called the hotel back and said it would be another 10 min. Finally, around 10:30am, almost 1.5 hours after our tour was scheduled to begin, a guide finally arrived. While I doubt any of this was her fault, she offered only the most cursory apology, no explanation, and no offer of any kind of partial refund or anything else that would compensate us for missing almost 20% of the tour.
2. The description "sunset viewing" component of the tour leaves out some key information. The mountaintop temple from which you view the sunset is limited to 300 visitors at one time, so in order to ensure you have a spot, you have to arrive around 3:30pm and then wait for over two hours in the temple in the blazing heat without restroom facilities. To make it worse, the guide will not come with you for this component, so you won't even get a guided tour of the mountaintop temple. This means that the "full day tour" is really a tour from 9am to 3:30pm, or in our case from 10:30am to 3:30pm. The view from the temple is fantastic, but they should be clear in the description of the tour that 2.5-3 hours of it will involve hiking and waiting without the guide.
3. Our guide was very nice and helpful, but her English was surprisingly poor, and she even mentioned that she hadn't ever given a tour in English. As a result, while her pre-prepared explanations of each point on the tour were easy enough to understand, she has rarely was able to understand any of our questions about the sites we were touring. The temples are so incredible, so we had lots of questions about their history, but eventually just stopped asking since our guide consistently struggled to understand what we were asking (as a note, we're Americans without any regional accents).
PROS: The temples are just as amazing as you've heard, and having a private guide and a driver is very convenient and lets you navigate the busy temple complex much more easily than doing it on your own or as part of a larger tour. The car was comfortable, and lunch was delicious.

Ultimately, we learned that we could have booked a very similar private tour through our hotel for about $30 less and without any of the hassle. Book a private tour, just don't do it here.

The driver/guide never showed up at the hotel after waiting over 2 hours. The company provided no communication by phone or email. No one would pick up the phone at either of the numbers provided on the voucher. Then they still charged me for the tour. A week later and still no one will answer the phone.

DO NOT use this company. You are better off asking the concierge at your hotel to book a driver and guide for you.

The tour was terrific. The guide and the driver were at our hotel on time, they're always very kind and helpful, explained us everything as provided in Viator website when we booked the tour, and it was a very good value for the money. The jeep with A/C and the fresh bottle of water during the day were wonderful, as it was extremely hot and humidity was around 100% in March.
It was definitely one of the highlights of our 2weeks stay in Thailand & Cambodja!
thanks guys for your professionalism!

We booked this tour online from India. We received the Itinerary number and the Booking Reference number but no Vouchers/ Confirmatory email. The evening before the tour, we realized that there was no way we could contact the local supplier, from our Siem Reap hotel. There was no call from the local agency.I wrote a mail to tripadvisor/ viator, late in the night. Luckily a tour guide and a vehicle were arranged at the last minute. It seems there indeed was some communication failure. The tour turned out to be a fantastic experience, the English speaking guide was well educated, knowledgeable and very courteous. Thank you. I sent two emails to the company trying to confirm this tour. They never replied. Day of the tour I waited more than one hour for them to arrive. I paid more than $100 for my private tour. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have since not replied to any of my emails asking for refund.

Booked via Viatour, which was the worst part of the trip as they had noted down the details down wrong, and we found it difficult to contact them. Next time I will just book direct with the operator themselves. The actual tour was great and certainly made up for any problems we had ecountered pre-tour.
