Escape the city and travel to the Vietnamese countryside to experience a cookery class with a difference. Unlike on other culinary tours, you’ll explore a local market, take a boat cruise on the Thu Bon river, ride in a cart pulled by a water buffalo, and even receive a shoulder massage before learning to cook Vietnamese delicacies. Plus, for the ultimate convenience, hotel pickup and drop-off, and a vegetarian meal option are available.
What to Expect
There is no other tour like this in Hoi An! Children are welcome on this tour with many activities for them to enjoy. We also provide babysitting services while you are taking the class.

We will first take you on a tour of the market to see the variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, seafood, and other unique foods for sale. Here we will purchase our fresh produce to use for our cooking class later in the morning.

After the market tour we will take you on a very relaxing boat trip up the Thu Bon river to the water coconut grove which is 7 hectares in size. We then transport you the location for the cooking class by buffalo cart through the countryside, about a 15-minute trip.

On arrival at the cooking class you will be met by our generous hosts who have arranged for you a foot massage to help you relax. After our foot massage we venture through the garden to the purpose built area where you will prepare your foods which were selected from the market earlier and on completing the meals we will sit down, share and enjoy our lunch.

Brilliant cooking class

They made adjustments for one of us who was vegetarian which was great. We made some of the best food we had in vietnam! Be was an excellent teacher and we really enjoyed the journey on the boats to get there too

I’m not really that interested in cooking, and STILL had a great time! 😱

This was a fantastic day. Went with my wife and we had a group of 6 nice people. Beautiful boat ride, foot massage then some great cooking and eating. The cooking techniques are unusual for westerners so I found it quite interesting. Hilarity ensued at...More

We were really lucky on our tour as we were the only ones there which made it ten times better. Be (our guide and chef) showed us around the market, then we hopped on a boat to the restaurant. Trying out the basket boats was...More
