So many reasons to visit Cameron Highlands with Jaies!

We had an excellent day exploring Cameron Highlands with Jim, a professional and knowledgeable guide and chauffeur. Jim met us at our hotel promptly at 730am. The early pick up time seemed to help us stay ahead of the larger groups and bus tours.

Driving up to the Cameron Highlands from Ipoh (and back) is about 2 hrs each way and very twisty, but the lush mountains, old forests, and waterfalls are beautiful scenery and well worth the trip. Jim is an excellent driver and we both felt very comfortable and safe.

We stopped for a stretch and tea from one of the famous tea plantation cafés. Next was the Lavender Garden. The entry fee into the gardens was inexpensive, showcasing many species of lavender, flowers, plants, and Highland strawberries. We tried some love fruit, something we had never heard of, and also some fried pumpkin leaves and steamed sweet potatoes. The garden centre is set up like a cute fairytale theme for all ages. Loads of touristy gifts you could purchase, fun areas for little ones and plenty of places to take some great pics as well.

On to the BOH tea planation, more winding narrow roads. BOH is the oldest planation in the region and is impressive in size.

Next up was a local market for some fresh strawberries, love fruit, and milky corn on the cob, again something we had never tried raw. We then stopped for lunch at a small local Indian restaurant. We had told Jim that one of us is vegan and he was very helpful and conscious about finding options all day long.

Heading back to Ipoh we stopped by some road side stalls where indigenous people sell a variety of herbal roots, jackfruit, durian fruit, stinky pea pods, cocoa pods and ornamental plants. As well, we saw inside one of their homes built on stilts, and they also showed us how he still uses poisonus blow darts for hunting.

Overall the entire day was great! We ate a lot of new things, learned some interesting facts about the region, people, cultures and many plants, flowers and fruits grown in the region. We would definitely recommend Jaies tours and explore the Cameron Highlands with Jim.

Excellent tour! Jai really takes care of us and personalizes the tour and ensures that you are having fun.

Jai is knowledgeable and professional in delivering his knowledge about the locations we visited and gave us an understanding of the local. He does not sell you anything or push you into visiting locations that charges entrances fee and acknowledge that he will earn commissions. He values relations and is extremely flexible throughout the trip.

After the tour, he also recommended places we could visit and offered to help plan locations that we can visit.

If you want to visit Cameron highlands and have a unique experience I would strongly recommend you to use Jaies.

We took the Cameron Highlands tour from Ipoh with Jaie. Jaie is an extremely knowledgeable person and tour guide, telling us so many interesting things about the history of ipoh and the Cameron highlands. The tour took us to some key areas of the Cameron Highlands and we were able to try some local food through Jaie’s guidance. The day went beyond our expectations, we really enjoyed our day out with Jaie. It was clear to us that he is so passionate about what he is doing, always looking to make our experience better, and checking in with us that we were enjoying ourselves. Jaie’s company is a clear payoff of following your dreams and passions, we wish him lots of future success. Thank you Jaie!

Good to have a driver taking you around but no option to amend itinerary and min information shared

First of all, your private tour appeared not private as we had other groups joining us, so would be fair to charge us less for the trip. Plus all entrance tickets are extras so the trip really becomes expensive at the end. Also, there was no option to change the itinerary as we followed the same route. Little information given about the places on which we thought guide would really tell us more. No lunch provided for 8 hours trip!! (we were only given 1 fruit to try, a few pumpkins fried leaves and a small pack of cheese rings and half a raw corn and no time set for this. We had to ask for water as there was none in the car either. So do take note that you have to have food with you and munch on the way.
But it was good to have someone taking you around s the distance is large and you cannot do it without hiring a cab. If in Ipoh really worth going to Cameron highlands for tea and fruit plantation experience.

Dear Thanks for your review and feedback we will improvise accordingly. As per what you claim that this tour seems sharing tour. Please take note we provide you personal car and also personal licensed tourist guide cum driver. Sharing tour means bringing people in one group with van or bus. So don’t put some false remark which is very damaging.We are trying our level best to give all the information as possible.The whole tour turn very sour for you because you never check the itinerary properly. Only 2 places required entrance fees In our itinerary it is clearly stated entrance fee, food and drinks not included. The total cost entrance fee for the entire trip is only RM $ 23(means only usd 4.85 cent) fyi. We take out our pocket money for you to try certain snacks and fruit as complimentary.We have our itinerary to follow as per experiences but if you wanted to customise you can always tell upfront to the guide where we will adjust accordingly also based on time factor places of interest and is some way on the route we do the tour. Anyway thanks you are the first unique customer giving us such a damaging remark although we try our level best to cater you best services as possible.

Memorable trip to Cameron Highlands

This was one of the highlight of our stay in Ipoh. Highly recommended this tour if you wanted to go to Cameron from Ipoh. The journey was comfortable. Jai is friendly and very generous in sharing his knowledge about Ipoh, Cameron Highlands and any questions we had. Other than history/way of life, he also introduced food/fun facts; e.g. cool info regarding leaves and what to take note to spot them. He also recommended places to go in Ipoh. Jai is an amazing tour guide who gave us great insights to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands and takes initiative in delivering high quality tour to immerse us on the trip.

We booked Jaies services on two occasions whilst in Ipoh. Jim who was I tour guide and driver did an excellent job. He was very courteous, flexible and gave us good details before deciding the places to visit base on our interest. Highly recommend their services and we will book them again when we visit next..

Great day out from Ipoh
We had a great day out with Jaie to the Cameron Highlands from Ipoh. We wanted to experience the beautiful scenery, the tea plantations and understand more about the history and culture of Malaysia - we were not disappointed! Jaie is very knowledgeable and shared lots of information with us throughout the day, we also weren’t expecting to try local foods on the experience which was an added bonus. We are vegetarian and Jaie went above and beyond to make sure we had foods we could try! Really varied day and one we will never forget, especially watching a local blow pipe demonstration! Would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks Jaie

A great way to see the Cameron highlands
My parents and I had a great day out to the Cameron highlands from Ipoh. Whilst the ticket price can seem like a lot, it’s actually great value for money. It’s a full day of entertainment and experiences that we wouldn’t of gotten to do if we were doing it on our own. Jai helped us navigate the crowds and identify where to stop and where to skip. We got to see the main features of the highlands such as BOH plus many more mini surprise stops that gave us greater insight into the area, culture and food. The highlight for us was being able to sample great foods we would of never of found (or confidently chosen!) otherwise. Jai himself is very chatty, funny and friendly. There is never a dull moment and he is full of great anecdotes and insights. He is also a very calm and safe driver, which is much appreciated on the narrow and windy roads with lots of traffic. Overall, I would highly recommend Jai and his tours for couples or travelling families.

Absolutely Fantastic!
I just got back from this experience, and it was truly amazing! I was initially concerned about the price, but it was worth every penny. This is not a tour and more of a personal guided service. I was driven in comfort and safety by Jim who listened to my interests through our conversations and worked on customising the experience to me. The added surprise was trying out local fruits/ treats along the way and Jai's informative talks that even drew the attention of those without a guide. All on all money well spent and I'd do it again given the chance :)

This is an amazing tour, highly recommended, Cameron Highlands is so beautiful and totally worth it.
Jim is the tour guide and driver, he is really great! Very friendly, very well informed, very accommodating and very genuine. He really cares about his clients safety and goes an extra mile.
I enjoyed a lot this tour and I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to make the best of their trip in Malaysia.
