Our guide was Beatrice who was enthusiastic about the culture and food. She gave us some information about buildings, Penang history and of course the food (if Chinese origin). We had a few dishes at the start to quell our hunger, then a bit of walking with nibbles on the way and finished with loads of food to fully satisfy us. Don’t worry about spicy food as she can alter to suit your taste. Great experience which allowed us to be braver when trying the local food

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this social and very interesting tour, lead by Poh. We tasted so many delicious dishes, enjoying Poh’s company and appreciating her extensive knowledge about the food, culture and history of Penang. We loved the fact that in addition to the delicious street food dishes (we were SO full - def go with an empty stomach), we also learnt so much about George Town itself, as we strolled the streets, Poh pointing out interesting landmarks. We also visited a Tao temple which was very interesting. All up, we had a great time and would highly recommend.

Poh was a fantastic guide. I learnt so much and tasted SO much delicious local food. Make sure you come hungry. I highly recommend the tour.

Our trip was great and Beatrice was a great guide and host. We were late due to a flight delay and Beatrice was very helpful letting us catch up with the tour. The food was delicious and the other history/info was very interesting and entertaining.

From the moment Lester picked us up at our hotel he made us feel welcomed! He is a wealth of knowledge and his honesty was appreciated. We learned a lot about penang history and about the orangutans. Such wonderful animals with personalities. We thoroughly enjoyed tasting the different “street food” that Lester suggested. Everything was delicious!!!! Highly recommend this wonderful tour guide!!!

Despite the pouring rain, we had a wonderful tour. Our tour guide Josh really helped look after our kids and explained everything in a manner that engaged them. We weren’t sure if the kids would last the six hours but they were actually wanting to stay longer at the end of it

What an amazing experience! James Ling was our host and did an incredible job at showing us around Penang and talking us through all it has to offer. Not only did we have heaps of delicious food, but we also learned so much about the city’s history and cultural influences. He is truly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. I would highly recommend the tour (and James) to anyone visiting the area, and already can’t wait to try more. Thank you!

I did this tour on my first evening in Georgetown and what a great introduction to the town! Beatrice was an excellent tour guide with amazing passion and energy. She was also really thoughtful and made sure dietary restrictions were considerations. We ate SO much... go into this hungry. Highly recommend as a great way to sample the culinary delights of Penang

The whole family had a very good time yesterday. Saw a lot and learnt a lot about Penang. Our tour guide Lester is very knowledgeable and is among the most proactive and passionate tour guides we have come across throughout all these years when we travelled the world. Have 3 or 4 things you really want to see & you’re off. I chose Penang Hill - with the Funicular train ride. Need a clear day for this. And some general sights around George Town, including Chew Jetty. The architecture is stunning but the surprise highlight for me was the street art. It’s amazing! Thanks to tour guide Ching for going the extra mile & giving me some invaluable Penang tips. 4 hours well spent…

Our tour guide Jeff was fantastic. He made sure we saw the best views and didn't miss any important highlights. He helped us see so much in a short time. He was fun and caring with lots of knowledge and a sense of humor. The habitat was super cool, more than I expected. And the temple gorgeous and interesting.

I'm very late in writing this review (almost a whole year!) but now that I have gotten round to it, I wanted to say how much we enjoyed our day with tour guide Tan Choon Eng. A truly knowledgeable and lovely lady who collected us from the airport bright and early in the morning, drove us to a range of wonderful places all the while explaining their cultural and historical significance. Very good value for money!
