          Sunbear
The orang utan was brilliant but please don't go to the sunbear sanctuary the bears are going mad as its only a small place for them to live in one bear was just going round in a circle it was heartbreaking to see especially with the electric fencing

          Best tour company in Borneo
We booked a couple of tours with this company and loved both of them. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we felt well looked after the whole time. On one of our trips a lady from another tour group mentioned to me that she thought our guide was excellent and wished she had booked with Exotic Borneo instead!

          Kinabatangan River 3D/2N
Had a wonderful visit to the Kinabatangan river where we stayed in the well provided Bilit Rainforest Lodge, with boat cruises morning and evening during which we saw orangutan, proboscis and many other kinds of monkeys, hornbills, kingfishers and other birds and crocodiles. Everything was well organised and I felt safe in the boats and in the approx. 2 5 hour minibus journey to the river from Sandakan. Well recommended, and I learned a lot from the knowledgable guide, Khairul.

          Colors of Borneo Tour
Our cruise group of 10 had a fantastic time with Exotic Borneo! They worked with us ahead of time and accommodated our request to mirror a cruise ship excursion (with a couple modifications). They were so easy to work with, less expensive than the ship's prices, and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Would highly recommend!!

          Inquisitive orang utan.
Saw young Orang Utan, followed by adult orang utan, them macaque monkeys. This was through a glass window first, then out to the platform to watch them swinging and playing. The best thing though happened before we got inside, a cheeky orang utan climbed onto the rail on the walking track. We were fascinated and told to keep back. It just followed us for a while then jumped onto a tree. Needless to say this was a highlight of our trip.

          Must visit in Borneo
I went there in September 2019 and was awestruck with the majestic Mt. Kinabalu. We went to the Kinabalu National Park where we saw some amazing endemic flora. The variety of orchids was breathtaking, we saw a variety of wild ginger, the pitcher plant and a lot of other plants and trees we had only read about or saw in TV documentaries. It is a must visit place in Sabah, Borneo.

Wendy, Martin, John and all the team at Exotic Borneo are wonderful. We come have asked for better service. They organised everything an it was well worth it. See nature at its best. Our guides knowledge was immense, no question couldn’t be answered. Highly recommend using them if you are going to Borneo.

          Special
It is fine to see how the people lived many years ago. Many animation and helpful guides to explain everything, including in the entrance price

          Very flexible
Good value for money. I had to change the day of my reservation and the company was very helpful. We visited the botanical garden at Mount Kinabalu park, saw 3 blooming Rafflesia at the reserve, lunch, canopy walk and then soak in the hot sorings before heading back to the hotel. The guide was exellent. Thanks and will recomend you to all my friends.

Charity 4 day Trek Challenge through rain forest for Charity.
Our local hospice, Garden House Hospice, organised a 4 day rain forest trek challenge in Borneo. We arrived a Kota Kinabalu late at night and were briefed about the trek. The next morning early we traveled to a local village to start the trek. Day 1 took us from Kota Belud to Lobong Lobong Village. Our head Guide, Tika, and his team helped us through a very wet day, Day 2 was to take us into the Rain Forrest and climb to 1250m camping in a clearing. This was a tough day, Day 3 was slightly easier going down to 1080m and again we camped in a clearing near a river. Day 4 took us out of the forest this being the easiest day to Kiau Kundasang staying in a hostel. The organisation of this trek was impressive as was the last two days where we recovered from the Trek. If you want to go off the beaten track Exotic Borneo can organise a challenging trek. Our guides were attentive to our needs and made sure we were safe, the Chef cooked excellent food in difficult conditions. This challenge really lived up to it's name.

          Great experience in the mountains
Recently I book Exotic Borneo for their Kinabalu National Park package. We were fortunate that no other families shared the van with us thus we had the privilege to be abit more flexible on our itinerary. We had a great tour guide, Nicholas- who was accommodating and thoughtful re the kids. Kids enjoyed themselves . Weather was good and the sight of Mount Kinabalu was a sight to behold.

Exceptional tour operator and agency! Highly recommended for a custom made tour!
We arranged a c.2 week trip starting in Sarawak (Bako NP, Iban longhouse) and then onto the jungle in Kinabatangan. The team at EB tours were outstanding and did a fantastic job planning our trip (I found these guys far better than any UK travel agency as they were an absolute pleasure to deal with and so responsive to queries). We were sent a detailed itinerary before our trip started which set out all we needed to know and EB tours used their network to arrange fantastic guides and drivers show us around. Highly recommended!

Very professional & can tailor your trip with excellent Guide!
Exotic Borneo was recommended to us by a friend, and they were very professional and prompt in their response over email. We tailored a short trip primarily to visit the foothills of Mount Kinabalu with some of the attractions - trekking, canopy walk. They gave good recommendations, including recommendations on where to stay. Kinabalu Pine Resort in Kundasang and Grandis in Kota Kinabalu.. We also preferred private transport, and the guide. Nicholas Pristian was excellent. Just note that you will have to prepay on confirmation, and if you are travelling at the peak period, confirm your bookings early.

The train is great, the food is nice but due to the nature of the steam engine and only being a single line time is but a number. Authentic train and very nice staff. Breakfast and lunch were good. On our way up we had to stop for around half an hour to build up steam. Coming back because we were obviously off schedule we had to sit for around an hour to wait for another train to pass at one of the stations as stations are the only place with a passing line. What should have been around 4 hours ended up as 6. I think the experience could be improved if there were some activities at the stops. You are left to your own devices to wander around. It would have been good if there were say a visit to a craft stall or an historic site etc. We didn't really know what to do

The trip wasn't that long, about 2 hours each way. But the crew provided excellent service. This and the sumptuous lunch made up for the rather uncomfortable cabin, which was extremely hot especially under the midday sun. The towns that we stopped at were sleepy and had few places of interest.
