    Fantastic experience, highly recommended!
For everyone who is in Kota Kinabalu and looking for an island to go to, look no further than Dinawan with EasyGo Tours! Vince was our tour guide and it was fantastic. He picked us up promptly and Dinawan is absolutely stunning. The beach had crystal clear water, very pristine, and was not crowded at all. There were a ton of water sports to play with and the lunch/afternoon tea was so good! We also had unlimited water, tea and coffee which was great. The entire day went very smoothly & efficiently. The staff are all super friendly and and we felt very safe and comfortable the entire day. Vince was a great tour guide, he was communicate and helpful, always checked in on us but gave us a ton of space. We never felt rushed and was very well taken care of. At the end, he helped us take a ton of photos and gave us a bunch of suggestions and spots to take photos - we really appreciated it! We can't boast about this tour enough and really recommend everyone to check it out!!

We started off with bad weather when travelling up to Kundasan. Glad the sky cleared up and the view was amazing. The experience was great and the ice cream from the dairy farm was yummy too! Thanks to our guide Hector.

    Relaxed, no crowds, great food!
A great day all around. Started with an excellent guide, Vince who took advantage of the lack of traffic on a Sunday allowing us a local breakfast at a local coffee shop followed by a stop at a local beach before we went on our way to the island. The island was beautiful with very few people, felt like it was our own! Lunch was also fantastic. The water was a bit murky for snorkelling, though lovely and colourful fish and coral nonetheless. All in all a great day! Thanks Vince!

    A great day out!
It was great to get out of KK and spend time snorkelling and swimming. Visibility was a little murky for snorkelling but there were still plenty of fish to see. There was kayaks, paddle boards etc to use on the island as well as a chance to relax in hammocks and take it easy. The lunch provided was plentiful and tasty! Hin was a great guide and looked after us well. Booking was effortless and the tour was well organised.

What you see in advertising photos you will see exactly the same in your eyes.
Absolute highlight of this tour is the snorkeling experience. It was exactly like snorkeling or diving in a huge and colorful aquarium. As beginners we were in good hand of Nani our tour guide, who directed us with a life saving ring through different coral reefs. She was also our photographer, eagerly diving down and turned around to take photos for us while we were snorkeling. Our other tour guide is Joey who also took care of us tourists on the boat very considerately and nicely. The boat captain was definitely a sea warrior who surely knew what he was doing on a speed boat on the sea during a 45-minute ride. It was like a live riding performance while the ocean is his own stage.

    Very bad experience
Very bad experience, the itinerary is different from the description, other places only need USD60 for two people for snorkeling, but here charge USD100 for two people and the price difference will not be refunded. Don't use this travel agency, go find something else

    Great Relaxing Day
I was picked up at my hotel, along with another couple, on time at 810am. It was a 20-minute drive to the jetty and a 15-minute boat ride to the island. We had about an hour to ourselves on the island. They have snorkel gear, SUPs, and kayaks to use (no extra charge). They have loungers, hammocks, and swings in the water if you just want to chill. We jumped back into the boat to go snorkeling offshore. You have to wear a life vest while snorkeling. I have never used one while snorkeling, so it took a little to get used to it. We saw a lot of fish but no turtles. We headed back to the island and had lunch. They kept bringing out more food. Highly recommend skipping breakfast. We then had about another 90 minutes on the island before tea and got back on the boat to the jetty. We returned to the hotel around 3 pm. A nice relaxing day.

    Not so good
Cancelled via SMS message the evening before the event and too late to book any alternative due to venue being closed apparently. If it's not available they shouldn't say it is

Fabulous day trip to Kundasang with a wonderful tour guide, Vince
We were greeted early in the morning by Vince, our professional tour guide of the day. We were also joined with another couple from Singapore, Dan & Rebecca for the day trip. Vince was friendly, easy-going and accomdating to our requests as we switched our itinerary a little here and there. The ATV ride was an experience indeed, its was scorchingly hot and roads were bumpy and Vince joined us on the 2-seater with the ATV guide so that he can take a video for us and also waited to make sure he took amazing photos for us at the Sosodikon Hill. Vince did not push us for time at any of the stops , telling us to take our time and enjoy the moments whilst he waited patiently for us . On our way down , Vince obliged us with a stop to taste the infamous roast wild boar meat , Sinalau Bakas eventhough it was already way past our scheduled tour . In our chats , Vince also promoted eateries in KK town, gave us an insight of the cultural aspects of Sabah . We would definitely recommend Vince to our family and friends as he has a wonderful and pleasant personality. We wish him all the best in his endevaours and look forward to seeing him again in the near future . Kudos to Vince for making our trip to Kindasang a memorable one.

Uncomfortable, hot, cramped, terrible roads and bad equipment.
I will start by saying Vince is a really nice guy and tries to make the experience good. I don't know why nobody else has said this but the ATV part is not good! The road you go on is stone and rocks and a bunch of ruts. It is not easy to control the ATV and is a lot of work because the road they take you on is so bad! I go to the gym 5 days a week and my arms were smoked after the ride. My wife parked her ATV and said no thanks. Also, the ATV's are not well maintained. They kept shutting off and when he went to pull the rope to restart mine it ripped out of the engine. There is no paragliding I don't know when it say's there is. The drive from the city is over 2 hours and the roads in Malaysia are not good very bumpy. Which isn't a big deal but Vince picked us up in a tiny car and my knees where up against the dashboard and he had to turn off the air conditioning going up hills because the car didn't have enough power. It was hot out and my wife and son sitting in the back seat where hot and uncomfortable. No tour company should put customers in that type of vehicle. You should not be miserable on your tour! Also, these tour companies need to take the cow farm out of the itinerary it's just really boring. I would also suggest that the tour guide has some bottles of water for guests.

Cancelled by Tour Operator 13 hours before tour :/
Disappointed to be informed that it would be cancelled only AFTER trying to contact them all for several hours the day prior to the tour. I booked tour through Tripadvisor and it was supposedly confirmed by the tour operator but after no direct communication from operator I wanted to reach out. Booked the tour for Friday on the Tuesday before. And was cancelled by the operator with no real genuine care or offering for another tour. Unacceptable in my opinion and if a tour operator is going to use a third-party make sure there is actual communication and paying attention. Yuki was the person I finally was in contact with.

Lovely beach day with light island exploring
Lovely beach day. We were promptly picked up from our hotel and taken to the dock which was about 30 mins south of KK. Beautiful boat ride with about 8 other guests to the island, which has nice, soft, white sand beaches and good shelling opportunities. Our guides, Vince and Edward were very attentive to our needs and explained some of the island’s history. The island itself is quite beautiful with abundant hammocks and wooden lounge chairs on the shore. Drinking water, tea, and coffee were provided, and beer and soda were available for purchase. We brought our own alcohol which didn’t seem like a problem. We also walked down the beach a ways to the other resort. I’m not sure if we were supposed to leave the tour area but no one really seemed to care. Lunch was incredible, one of my favorite meals in KK. Very nice and relaxing day. Vince was an excellent organizer and kept us in the loop of island activities throughout the day. Snorkeling was included but we opted out of it since we had gone earlier that week. Bring your own towel, beverages, snacks, and perhaps a change of clothes if you go swimming. They said there were jellyfish in the water but we went swimming and didn’t get stung at all or throughout the week in KK. I believe they are mostly harmless. The beach area around the resort was clear of trash, which I’m assuming is collected regularly. Farther down the beach there was some trash, but this seems unavoidable with the amount of plastic observed in the water during our visit here. The Jet skis were under maintenance but the ATVs were available to ride up and down the beach for 100 MYR. Oh, there is a pool table and foosball table if you walk to the resort common area building. It was not advertised, we just found it and it seemed cool for us to be there. Overall wonderful. Would recommend.

    Best island near KK
This tour was beyond perfect ! Dinawan island is private, with only a small resort that was empty on the day we went, so it was just our group on the island ! It saves you the stress of having to look after your belongings ! The snorkeling session was great as the reef near the island is filled with little fishies (including Nemo and his family !). Back on the island with pristine waters, you can either swim, sunbathe or do another type of water sport. The food was extremely tasty and it was the best food I‘ve had in my KK trip ! Also, special thanks to Raymond, who was our guide for the second time, and managed everything perfectly ! He’s also the best photographer you can find, as well as the most accomodating tour guide ever !

I can see lots of people have rated this experience highly and I wonder whether I was perhaps spoilt previously having been fortunate enough to experience Kinabatangan river which had longer boat rides and plenty of proboscis and macaques . I chose this trip as I really wanted to see the fireflies.

First impressions were not great, a worse for wear bus picked us up and after the 1.5 hr Journey we arrived at an outdoor area- no communication from the tour guides for half an hour or so which left us sat wondering what was going on. There were some nibbles and drinks provided. Eventually someone approached us and told us we would be on the boat with him. The boat ride along the mangroves was short. We did see both proboscis and macaques.

Unfortunately they encourage the macaques onto the boat after clapping at them on approach and begin feeding them bananas. Can’t say that I appreciated being so close given we have been told they can be very aggressive.

I feel like the monkeys should be left to their own devices and watched from a respectable distance. If I wanted to watch monkeys being fed I’d go to a zoo rather than travelling halfway across the world in hopes to see them in a more natural way.

After this short excursion we were then given 2 hours on the beach and to eat. As for photography I assume people got such good pics previously because it was better weather? It was cloudy for us and just looked like a normal beach. 2 hours felt like a long time sitting around. Dinner was ok.

It just didn’t feel as well organised or professional as other experiences I’ve been on in a Borneo.

For me what saved it was the fireflies which is why I went in the first place. It was magical seeing them glimmer in the tree.

Great experience. Seeing the proboscis monkeys (even though shy) was brilliant, and having the chance to give the long tail monkeys bananas made the heart race, especially king monkey! The firefly show in the evening was like nothing I had ever seen before. All of this was made better by our tour guide Raymond, who was friendly, chatty and very informative about the local area and culture.

The fireflies were great. In terms of improvement, clean the river up. River was a great eco space, but lots of rubbish - was awful to see. Boats are noisy and a lot of petrol fumes. Don’t sit in the back of the boat. Guide was knowledgeable but had to ask him questions, he could have talked a lot more about the river system and native wildlife. One guide had a laser he pointed at wildlife to get them to move which was awful. He then shone into river bank during firefly tour to make a light display, completely destroying the lovely firefly experience. We didn’t see any probiscus monkeys. ‘Hi tea’ was fried banana and cordial. Dinner was tasty. ‘Sky mirror’ was ok, nice sunset. Little bit of a mass produced tour to make dollars, no real passion or care for the Borneo environment or experience for tourists.

Yesterday we had an awesome tour with the lovely Edward & Pen! We were the only ones to join them because there are not many tourist in the area atm, but they made the experience extra precious for us. We were picked up by a really nice mini van. Then we had juice with fried bananas, home made. The tour started with the monkeys. We got to feed them bananas and they joined us on the boat, very cool to see. After the monkeys we saw a mini crocodile and lizard. The dinner buffet was delicious. After dinner we went to the amazing scenery of sunset beach and the tour ended with out of this world firefly magic. Pen and Edward were really professional and kind and made loads of great pictures, thank you so much guys!

This was a delightful tour! I booked it at the last minute because a different tour was unfortunately cancelled, and I am glad there was space because it was worth the trip away from KK City. I was greeted with a water before we picked up the rest of the group and headed to the meeting point. The tea and snacks were tasty, and guides made sure we were safe with the monkeys during that portion of the trip. After a delicious dinner, our host driver Mr. Chan was very kind and took photos of me on the sky mirror beach as I was traveling solo. Finally, the fireflies were a sight like no other! If you have the time, I would recommend this half day tour.

Torrential rain, thunder, lighting as we drove from KK to the river, very dangerous! Proceeded to get aboard in the pouring rain. Needless to say no sky mirror photography, no monkeys, no fireflies. Guide cancelled the tour and we received a 33% refund … can’t work that out! Disappointed!

This was a lovely tour to do as a solo traveller! We got to see everything we set out to see, two species of monkeys, sunset on a beautiful beach and the magical fireflies.

The local guides are not only knowledgeable, but have a great sense of humour too! Our driver, Raymond, was friendly and an amazing photographer, capturing some really stunning photos on the mirror beach.

Thanks to everyone involved and please do this tour if you get the chance!

The river cruise was very interesting. We had a lucky day with no rain at all so we were able to see the monkeys, took amazing photos by the beach and saw the fireflies. James was our tourguide and also the tour photographer and the tour art director with great sense of humor in a very authentic way. All you need to do is to hand him your phone and he will passionately tell you how to pose for the stunning sky-mirror photographs.
