Not boring stories about history
Oct 2021
Valentina was our guide and gave the excursion excellently. She told us a lot of interesting things and showed us historical photographs (this is a great idea, since the photographs helped to imagine what Moscow was like in different years). We also discovered new and unusual places for ourselves. Thank you very much for such a useful and fun pastime!

Something new even for almost locals
Oct 2021
Our group was surprised to find out a lot of interesting facts and open new historical places. Our guide Valentina made her best to give us all information with the highest degree of clearness and even showed historical photos and maps of the city of Moscow. The narration was perfectly diluted with riddles and quests, so everyone was satisfied. At the end we felt warm (even it was a windy evening) due to happy atmosphere of a usefully spent day.

Super nice tour with some interesting & exciting places :)
We booked the „Off the Beaten Path Tour“ and it was great!! Valentina, our tour guide, was super enthusiastic and motivated, spoke great English and made the tour very fun. I am not going to spoil much but there are some interesting surprises waiting for you during the tour and some interesting facts about Moscow and it’s history that otherwise you probably would not have discovered. You will also be shown some suuuuuper nice hidden places. Can totally recommend and thanks to Valentina again for the great experience 🤩

Brilliant evening exploring Moscow!
Dec 2020
My friends and I recently enjoyed a fantastic evening touring Moscow by hosted Olga and Anna! Lots of laughs and fun while learning about traditions and history of Moscow. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a low key and fun way to spend time with friends and family virtually.

Online Virtual Tour of Moscow - An absolutely brilliant experience!
Dec 2020
This is a superb experience - an online virtual tour of Moscow. It is absolutely perfect for work parties and groups of friends.

In advance, Anna and Olga send you a short shopping list (the most important thing is the Russian vodka, of course) and a link. At the time of your tour, you click on the link and suddenly you find yourself in Moscow...

Using their brilliant 3-D technology, Anna and Olga then show you some of the highlights of Moscow - including Red Square, St Basil's, GUM and many more. Along the way, you will be told interesting stories and facts about this beautiful and exciting city. The whole experience lasts about 1 hour.

You will also be told how to drink vodka like a true Russian - and there are plenty of chances along the way to have a toast or two...

We were a group of 15 work friends and every single one of us thought it was amazing. It is a shame that we cannot travel at the moment - or have any parties - so this is a great way to combine the two - all without leaving the comfort of your home.

Thoroughly recommended.

"Moscow Walking Tour Through the Eyes of Locals" with Alexandra
Sep 2020
We've been on the tour "Moscow Walking Tour Through the Eyes of Locals" with Alexandra. It was a truly unique experience. Societ-style Georgian tavern (cheburechnaja), 1st McDonald's, moving buildings - I've never heard about these before. And Alexandra is easygoing and interesting to talk to, she has many fascinating stories to tell. But don't believe me - try it out yourself, you won't regret)

Amazing 4-week trip across Russia
Sep 2019
One of the best tours I've ever taken! We travelled for 4 weeks from St Petersburg, up to Karelia, down to Moscow, and out to Irkutsk in Aug/Sep 2019. The guides were amazing - personable, knowledgeable, fun, willing to tailor, and had excellent language skills. The itinerary was *really* well-planned with a thoughtful rhythm of city, then wilderness, then train, then city, then Trans Siberian Railway out to Irkutsk - with stops in between (including a visit to a social enterprise). The ExploRussia team was helpful both during planning and once we were in-country. All logistics went smoothly with all transfers, hotels, transport, meals, payment, etc. We particularly appreciated the home-cooked meal, the sampling of local foods, the nature walks, the different personalities of the guides, and the visits to off-the-beaten-track sights. I cannot speak highly enough of the responsiveness, availability, customisation, quality, handling of logistics, sustainability-focus, friendliness and integrity of the ExploRussia team. Many thanks to every single one of our guides: Nastya, Oksana, Yulia, Ksenia, Elena, Elena, Roza, Guzel, Evgeniy, Olga, Mikhail, and Nastya. I can highly recommend ExploRussia! (xoxo, from Kristine & Brian)
