- 486jaxe00Amazing insightful tour with Tony from withlocalsTony was a charming and conscientious guide with great knowledge of KL past and present. We did the 7 hour walking tour with him and it was amazing from beginning to end. It wasn’t arduous and Tony met us at the hotel and was with us every step of the way sharing his knowledge. It is a tour well worth doing.
- shreyasgopal00Fantastic experience.Fantastic experience. This was exactly what I was looking for. Povan took me to 10 restaurants to try different types of food. It was just not food. It was history, science behind the food and the history of Malaysia. Absolutely worth the money! Thanks Povan!
- keashiad00Great way to try some authentic food - Malyasia has a melting pot of cuisinesNice experincce with a walking tour with Zack. We live in Australia where Asian food is part of our regular diet. It was nice to experience the real food rathet then the westernised flavours we receive at home. Would reccomend
- coreyl19700Great tourDefinitely do it at dinner time. Great experiences around town and a lot of great food. We would have never tried some of these places without our guide, who was super friendly and knowledgeable.
- Lisa J00Great guide and amazing local foodMy friend and I did this food tour yesterday evening with Ferris. It was just the 2 of us on the tour so we got some really great tips and info. The food was amazing and we did some shopping in Chinatown which was fun. I would highly recommend this tour to any visitors to KL.
- apanie00Fabulous experience!May is a friendly and approachable woman who gave us a fabulous experience. We had wandered through the same areas the day before but didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to sample the local food. However, with May, the experience was totally different. May’s expertise and enthusiasm were infectious. I would recommend a very light breakfast and then arrange to meet May around 11 am. She will guide you through the back lanes of Chinatown offering a variety of food which was all delicious. A tour not be missed.
- mrboojangles00A great way to sample local foods. This tour is a must do experience, not only were the food and drink tastings superb there was also a good variety of different tastings to try. Povan also had a wealth of local knowledge that cannot be learnt from a guide book. A highly enjoyable tour.
- Kate K00Great insider trip to the Cameron HighlandsWe had a great trip to the Cameron Highlands with Joel, and especially appreciated how knowledgeable, considerate and friendly he was. He provided just the kind of off-the-beaten path experience we hoped for, where we could learn about the context and enjoy the natural beauty of the place. We would definitely recommend this trip to others seeking a similar experience!
- Dreamer0366014712400Great tour!My family and I spent a fantastic four hours with Brendon seeing all sorts of things we would never have found by ourselves, from excellent views of the Petronas Towers to an amazing bookshop. Brendon was so easy to talk to, great sense of humour and engaged with all of us and made our 12 year old laugh with some great photo opportunities. The personal touch of a private tour was evident throughout and he took a genuine interest in us as well as wanting to tell us all about what we were seeing. I would highly recommend Brendon.
- rickz20200Food tour in KL excellentMy guide was wonderful. He was a retired chef that gave me a lot of knowledge about food in KL. I really enjoyed the experience.
- MBleyenberg00Excellent experienceWe took the culinary food tour guided by Povan. What a great experience! Great local food, but above all great background stories related to the Malay people with their unique backgrounds. Well recommended Thank you Povan.
- pengels0100Informative, punctual and flexibleHoopy guided us 2 days. Day 1: Batu Caves, batik shop & Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan (The Federal Territory Mosque) Day 2: Malacca Hoopy is a very (but not to much) enthousiastic guide. She was super punctual (always on time), very flexible in her program (adding things to see) and she told us a lot about the history, background and culture of places we visited. We are a family if 4 (2 adults and 2 children (12 yo boy and 14 yo girl)
- Toinie00Find Brendon…best guide!Just to say that Brendon went ‘above and beyond’ to cater for our group. He had researched the history of our home country which amazed us. We are a tiny island! He figured out what each of us wanted and worked that into our tour. There were multiple highlights. He had pit stops for us in air conditioned areas, and kept us constantly hydrated. He gave us a great understanding of Malaysian history, a strong sense of modern Malaysian society, toured all the major historical sites, and then hit the markets to get our teenagers good prices on items they really wanted, found the very best icecream ever, and even introduced us to mosquito patches (we had never heard of them!) for the next leg of our journey. He was endlessly good humoured and witty, And before he popped us in a grab taxi to get back to our hotel, he hooked us to his wifi and gave us small bills to get around more easily. How kind is that?! He also texted reminders later that evening of places we had asked about and sent links for these. Clearly, we recommend him wholeheartedly
- Sunshine1498681299700Really good food tour & more!!What a fantastic food (& more!) experience with Siddoz! He took us around the ‘old centre’ tasting many different local specialities… we were full at the end of the tour & totally satisfied !! Not only did we taste & eat, Siddoz also gave us a guided tour of the area (unexpected) answering any questions we had regarding KL in a professional and lovely, relaxed manner. Big man Siddoz :) is a qualified guide so you can’t go wrong here! Highly recommended if you have a free 2-3 hrs in KL and like food!
- 420morgang00Wonderful experience in MalaccaWe had a wonderful adventure with Hoopy. She was on time picking us up in Kuala Lumpur, shared lots of information about Malaysia generally and Malacca specifically, and did a great job showing us around the city. She also took some wonderful pictures of us along the way! We loved her Malay language lessons too. Terima kasih, Hoopy!

We did the Night Market Tour. May was very knowledgeable about all the foods we experienced. She really listened and tailored the experience to our allergies and likes while gently pushing us to try new and interesting things. I highly recommend experiencing Kuala Lumpur’s Night Market with May to guide you through all the exciting food options.

We had a brilliant tour around Bukit Bintang and tried a lot of different foods. Our guide Ramesh was really friendly and knowledgable, introducing us to many foods and streets we would not otherwise have tried. He went out of his way to ensure we had all a great evening, including my 12 year old daughter who is usually a very picky eater but who happily ate more new foods that night than the rest of the year put together. Ramesh ensured we knew how to get back to our hotel and sent us a list afterwards of all the things we’d tried, which was really appreciated as there was a lot! I highly recommend this tour for anyone who’d like to learn more about the wonderful foods in this city and to eat like a local.

Pricey for what you get... Street food is very cheap and the local guide has no expenses other than covering the price of food. First stop is in the mall to try one bite size thing! Then rushed to the locally renowned street with food vendors to eat a few local treats. Then sat for a couple plates of traditionnal dishes. Guide was knowledgeable but very rushed from start to finish. Did not last the advertised lenght of time. We were left somewhat dissapointed. Would have been better off looking up the famous street on Google and strolling along at our pace.

My husband and I absolutely loved our food tour with Manjeet. We booked the 2 hour tour and it was a delicious and educational experience. Our tour was a delight from the minute we met Manjeet.
Because of possible rain, she came prepared with multiple umbrellas, which we ended up having to use. The food options were wonderful and since we were staying with Bukit Bintang, we revisited some of the eateries during our stay. Manjeet is a native from KL. She had a very calm demeanor and was a wealth of information when it came to her hometown, the many different cultures represented and the vast variety of foods that can be found. We visited Lot 10 and Jalan Alor and got hooked on Mangosteen. During our 2 hours together, we filled up on local delights and she provided useful tips for our short visit to KL.
I do also want to mention that Manjeet did check about food allergies and preferences. My husband and I luckily don't have any but we appreciated being asked. I would highly recommend booking Manjeet!

During our Kuala Lumpur food adventure, our family of four with 2 young kids had the pleasure of exploring the culinary wonders with our incredible guide, Zack. He led us to discover the best food spots in the busy Bukit Bintang area, where the bustling streets captivated us.
Zack's knowledge of the local food scene was remarkable, and he introduced us to unique experiences. Instead of the usual dishes, we had a surprisingly delicious fish on a stick called otak otak, and the kids couldn't get enough of the enormous dim sum and dosa with honey in a cone shape. It was a delight to see their excitement and enjoyment throughout the tour.
The bustling streets of Bukit Bintang added a lively and energetic atmosphere to the whole experience. With Zack's storytelling and passion for the city's culinary delights, our family's day was truly unforgettable. Many thanks for making our Kuala Lumpur journey so special!

Great to see the real food of KL. Host was very friendly polite and knowledgeable.
Recommend going on this hungry as quite a bit if food that we were struggling to get through towards the end and we did the “lighter” food tour.

Reka done a tour for myself and my partner. She was very informative giving us information on all the foods as well as some local knowledge on KL. Would recommend doing the tour, only thing to improve would be to pair more dishes with drinks or advise to bring your own drinks as we only received 1 drink.

I wanted to love this tour, but the guide did not seem prepared and didn't really explain what any of the dishes we were eating were, so we didn't really learn anything from the tour. I was with 2 of my friends, and we explained at the beginning of the tour that myself and one of my friends do not eat eggs due to a sensitivity, and she said she could accommodate, but several dishes contained egg. I understand that we were one of the first tours to run since tourism started up after covid, but we were disappointed nonetheless. At this price point, we would recommend a different service.

The food tour was fairly underwhelming.
We had a great tour guide, able to tell us about the food culture and people etc. She was very knowledgable. However, the food was average. The first two tastings we had were quite nice, but thereafter nothing to go to town about. My favourite was apam balik, a yum snack.
Most of the store/booths at the market were either closed, not ready at the time that we were doing the tour (5:30pm), so perhaps the company should consider that with setting the times of the tour.

I'd 100% recommend for kids. There are plenty of non spicy options and there isn't much walking. Plus you have options with the dim sum so can choose things they'll like.

I'd say yes - providing the little one is happy to be pushed around early evening food markets! Certainly no problem with access. And I'd imagine food also no problem if toddler likes to experiment! Just make sure you tell the guide who should make contact with you a few days before your trip.
