Half day activity with road trip & average level trekking to rainforest waterfalls at Kuala Kubu Bharu, one of the oldest British colonial town in Malaysia. Activity will be conducted by English speaking qualified Wilderness Guide. Trip includes hotel pickup and drop-off. Local authentic dishes for breakfast and lunch at carefully selected restaurants in the small old town. Kuala Kubu Baru, or KKB as it is fondly known, is often thought of by travelers as a sleepy town in Selangor, but a closer look into its origins reveals a history that is both enriching and charming. Well known as a mining town in the 18th century, originally located between two tributaries of the Selangor River. Colonial shop houses still make up most of KKB’s architectural landscape, spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s. Enjoy the cool weather as KKB is surrounded by lush trees and tropical jungle.

A day out into the jungle, organised by Thomas, the tour guide, who was very friendly, knowledgeable and has the whole day planned very well, and it’s also very safe. He provides breakfast, lunch walking sticks and even photos. Definitely follow his instructions to the letter, he’s an absolute pro when it comes to guiding. Having done a few international hikes, I can say without a doubt Thomas was one of the most prepared and informative guides I’ve traveled with. The day was exceptional, starting out with local cuisine at a hideaway and finishing with a delicious lunch. Trust his palate and restaurant choice...the food was delicious. The hike was beautiful and swimming in and behind the waterfalls was a life altering experience. Thomas was fun, knowledgeable and fantastic company for the day. He is so knowledgeable about the local culture, shared incredible local flavors, customs, and brought us to the most magical escape, just an hour outside of Kuala Lumpur. Aside from a truly remarkable hike, he took my sister and I quite literally inside a waterfall, where we got to swim and play in the warm, beautiful water. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. This is a real hike not a stroll! We got a good workout and got to escape the city and be surrounded by nature. The waterfalls were cool too and worth the hike. I had a wonderful day with Thomas! The waterfall trip was close to the city and everything was organised: pick up from the hotel, breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, backpack, water shoes, photographing and we had a really nice time. I travel solo and he didn"t mind to have only me on the trip. Waterfall was really amazing and trip through the jungle was safe! You don't want to miss it while staying in Kuala Lumpur!
