We had a great time visiting the tea plantation and other attractions of Cameron Highlands. Maran, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We can recommend this tour with him to anybody who is short on time but would like to discover this region of Malaysia.

We went to this tour on Sunday, 5th January 2020. Truthfully, we were not sure if the tour is possible, because we booked this trip the day before and after opening hours. We were surprised and happy to get a message with a confirmation and our pick-up time at the hotel. Our adventure could start.
Our driver, Razuan, was wonderful! He picked us up very early in the morning and we visited all the places as the tour prospected. Without rush. We could take our time as long as we needed.
During the trip we had a lot of questions and Razuan was very helpful to answer everything. He even showed us stuff outside from the tour. For example: we visited a village of nomads where they showed us how to use a bamboo pipe. It was amazing!
As for lunch we could decide which food we prefered and at what time we wanted to eat.
Now something which we didn't expect: the description promoted, that all entrance fees are included in the price. Which means the Batu Caves, Waterfall, Strawberry Farm, Butterfly Farm and Cameron Highlands, but actually there were no entrance fees at most of the stops. Only at the Butterfly Farm (10 MYR) and the Cameron Highlands - tea plantage - has been an entrance fee for 3 MYR (by foot) and 12 MYR for a shuttle buggy - which you have to pay yourself. So to sum it up, you mainly pay for the transfer, nevertheless we would recommend the tour.

Our driver Fauzi gets 5/5 stars! Really friendly, down to earth guy with lots of interesting facts and drove really safely, he also gave us lots of choice over how long we wanted to spend at specific stops at Cameron Highlands, his car was big and super comfy. The whole experience however was just OK. We set off at 7am, first of all the distance from Kuala Lumpur to the Cameron Highlands is way too far to travel in just one day, we travelled 3 hours one way and 3 hours back, which was longer than the actual activities! So its better to rent a car and stay over night if you have time…We stopped at Batu caves only to take a few pictures but didn’t have enough time to actually go in as our driver said we wouldn’t have enough time in Cameron Highlands to do all the activities there then. (In hind sight that would have actually been the most interesting thing to go and see, so it’s a shame we didn’t press to stay longer!). Our driver stopped on the way at Dunkin donuts and we got breakfast. When we finally got to the highlands we made several stops, first at the waterfall then at some aboriginal villages where we saw an aboriginal woman shoot a blow pipe and we saw how they lived. We then continued on to the tea farm, we had to pay extra to get down to see the plantation. This was lovely and you can buy and try some tea there, quite a few varieties. You can also buy tea as a gift. However after about 30 minutes we were done. Make sure to take your own toilet paper if you come here as there wasn’t any in any of the toilets! We then stopped at a bee farm, this was free, nothing too exciting to see here…a butterfly park, which again we had to pay to enter, there were loads of butterflies here, flowers and other animals, the owners clearly care about their business despite it being quite primitive. Then we stopped at the last place which was the lavender plantation but as we had no cash left so we couldn’t go in, and they didn’t accept card payment so we had to skip this last stop. So take plenty of cash, entry was about 12 RM for an an adult… other entries were similar price. Then it was the very long drive home…we got back to KL at around 6:30pm. There were no other stops for food, only some food court by the motorway but the food didn’t look fresh or appetising so we were really hungry...maybe ask your driver to stop somewhere in the highlands or just bring your own.

The tour started early in the day with a pick up that was perfectly on time (the driver was at our hotel lobby 5 minutes before the pickup time).
This tour was booked the day previous in the midst of Chinese new year, so the tour company and driver did a great job considering the high season conditions.
The ride to the highlands is long so we took a nap in the way.
Our driver asked in which order we wanted to do the activities (suggesting a couple of routing options based on the locations of the stops).
Due to the high season influx, the road traffic to one activity was slow and the driver mentioned that it may take 3 hours on the road to get to the activity (instead of the usual 10 minutes). The driver offered alternative options for the activity order and we decided together to change 1 activity for another in the city (the tour company approved an activity change but we had to pay part of the activity out of pocket as it the entry fees were higher than the original activities plan).
The driver was professional all the tour and we enjoyed it a lot. The change of activity saved us from being stuck in traffic for hours and potentially missing other activities due to time constraints.
Our tour included lunch and the driver asked our food preference and took us to a nice lunch place in our route.
Overal great experience

Neson was an incredibly caring and friendly tour guide, with a plethora of local and historical knowledge which really made a huge difference. He was incredibly attentive throughout the tour and made sure we spent the most time where we were most interested. Arriving at the Batu Caves early meant we were able to avoid the crowds and the whole experience was much more relaxed, and the Cameron Highlands were incredibly beautiful despite the inclement weather. I would highly recommend Neson and this experience to anyone, we thoroughly enjoyed and it was a real highlight of our stay in KL!

We were greeted very warmly by our amazing driving Neson in our hotel lobby. He was very welcoming and knew so much about our tour and also the county of Malaysia. Getting to the Batu Caves early was positive as it was very quite so really got to experience it for ourselves. The highlands were also beautiful and were helped by Neson’s amazing knowledge and care for us and made us spend the most time in the places we cared and wanted to see most. Couldn’t have asked for a better driver! Great overall experience would highly recommend.

Waterfalls are free. It's a public area.
The waterfalls stop is just in the middle of the road, there will be locals and other tourists and you can go in if you want.
Take towels if you want to go in,there are no real facilities to change (that I am aware of) after you get in so bear with that in mind
Hi. Is it possible to get pictures of previous tours in order to get more of a feel for it.
