Going on a bike tour with Soksabike gotta be one of the best things I've done in Battambang! My lovely guide, Sophara, is a well spoken gentleman who is very knowledgeable about people's way of living and did an excellent job in introducing the local cultures.

We visited the rice paper village and ate the best homemade spring rolls ever, got to see a family that produces dried banana snacks, and another family which produces rice wine (or Cambodia whiskey as Sophara would put it). On the way to the fish market we rode past some lush green rice fields, and we got to try the delicious bamboo rice and stopped for some fruits before heading to the final destination Wat Samrong Knong to see the killing fields.

The best thing about Soksabike is that it supports eco tourism, and the local families directly benefit from the profits shared with them.

Truly highly recommend this tour if you're interested in knowing more about the local communities and how they live in Battambang. The bike tour suits all levels of bikers so don't worry if you're not an experienced cyclist!

We did the local livelihood half day bike tour. The pace of the tour was very comfortable with well-spaced breaks and lots of opportunities to ask questions which were all answered by Sophal who was a fantastic guide. He made us feel very comfortable navigating the roads and traffic. Highly recommend this half day trip, you will see a huge amount in a short space of time. Thank you Sophal and Soksabike!

Interesting insights into local business of Cambodia. Understanding things you may have seen in Cambodia, not knowing where and how they are produced. Interesting encounters with locals, beautiful landscapes, good bikes and good vibes. The tour guide and the organisation convincingly represent responsible local tourism. An opportunity not to be missed! Thanks to our tour guide Moni for this lovely experience.

I am glad that I booked the tour with Soksabike - it was great. The guide spoke very good English, explained everything very well, took great care of me when riding the bike and shared a lot of information about Cambodia. Further, they support local Cambodian families at their stops. I highly appreciate that idea (as other tours they do not want to sell anything to you at the stops, it does not feel like disturbing the families, ...)
The mountainbike was great.
A bike tour with Soksabike is defenitely a MUST when you visit Battambang!

Soksabike is a fantastic organisation. I was lucky to be accompanied by Moni (speaks very good English!) on the "local livelihood tour". It was a great experience ! Great addresses, great stories, and learned many new things about local customs and habits.
When visiting the local "killing fields", I learned a lot of history in addition to our visits in Phnom Penh.
Soksabike works in a very respectful way with local small entrepreneurs, and makes sure that they are properly compensated for their time and hospitality. Highly recommended !

What a great business Mony and his partners have. We needed a child seat and this was provided with close attention to the safety required when cycling with a child. The visits to the local villages were authentic and informative and the cycling through the countryside was easy and beautiful. A fantastic half day out and the complimentary drink at the end was much appreciated!

This was a really great tour, our guide was excellent and provided lots of information, including teaching us a bit of Khmer! The bike ride is very flat and you are never going that long between stops (about 20 minutes each at the start and end but much shorter in between the different stops). Great way to see some of the countryside and Cambodian culture. There were lots of opportunities to taste the different foods, by the end I was full enough I didn't need lunch! Highly recommend taking one of these tours on a visit to Battambang.

So glad I did this. Only had 2 nights in Battambang and this was worth the 6.5hours. My guide Sophara (sorry if incorrect spelling!) was excellent. He’s a Cambodian Literature student and took us on a small group cycling tour into the local villages where we met families and their local trade. We also visited the Battenbang killing fields which is now a memorial. Highlights for me we’re hearing about his family and their experiences during the Khymer Rouge. I learnt so much.
The only negative which I told the company were the firm seats. The mountain bikes were excellent and perfect for the terrain but such uncomfortable seats. Wear padding!
