Great introduction to Munnar and the spectacular environment!
We have a wonderful memory of the two days which we spent with Suresh, exploring Munnar by jeep. He was flexible guide, replanning the tour to accommodate the wet weather. With his help we sighted lots of wildlife and he forwarded his own photos later. Suresh kindly organised our visit to the local Cultural Show and waited til late take us home afterwards at the end if a 9 hours tour!

        Must visit tea trail
The walking tour was extremely informative and our guide, Mari, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the tea plants and the estate itself. The tea wastage is also extremely well maintained and the views are breath taking, if on more overcast and cloudy days. The factory visit was cool but felt less personal and questions were not encouraged. The group for the factory visit was also far to large for the small factory which added to the impersonal feeling. The tea tasting aspect also was not what I expect (we were provided tea spoons and three cups of teas with little to no explanation on the actual teas themselves). I would recommend this experience, especially the tea estate tour, but would advise to manage your expectations on the tea factory visit.

Great Full-Day Hike in Munnar with King Raja
I really enjoyed the full-day hike with King Raja in Munnar. The tour started right from Old Munnar, so there was no need for transportation, which was super convenient. King Raja was a friendly and knowledgeable guide, sharing lots of interesting information about the local plants, tea plantations, and the tea harvesting process. Walking through the tea fields and seeing the local workers in action was a unique experience. The snacks and lunch provided were tasty and a nice break during the hike. The views of the hills and valleys around Munnar were stunning, and having a great group of fellow travelers made the day even better. I’d definitely recommend this hike to anyone visiting Munnar—it’s a great way to explore the area and learn a bit along the way!

Beautiful Tea Trail Tour with Maari
We had a fantastic experience with Maari as our guide! He was incredibly funny and knowledgeable, making the walk through the tea plantations both enjoyable and informative. The peaceful atmosphere of the plantations combined with Maari’s great storytelling made it a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend!

        Car hire with driver
We hired a car and driver to take us from Kumily, Tekkaddy, to Munnar. Riyas was our driver and he was an excellent driver and guide. We had many stops at sights en route. Later that evening, early the next morning and later in the afternoon Rita's took us out with a local guide we had arranged separately. We went "herping" in the evening and birds watching the next day. Excellent service. Punctual, patient, entertaining and friendly. Highly recommended. We felt very safe with him at the wheel.

        Great driver, interesting itinerary.
We had a great day out with Munnar.info. Ganesh was our driver and his skills were very much appreciated on the winding road, especially coming back in heavy fog and darkness! We felt very safe with Ganesh at the wheel. We saw one nigrili tahr (rare mountain goat) at the NP. The stop at the jaggery place was very interesting. We thennhad a 3 hour hike at Chinnar Sanctuary. Wildlife is apparently better in the morning but we saw lots of very colourful birds, beautiful grey langur monkeys and their babies. Also two male Indian spotted deer. Very enjoyable day. If going in winter take a jacket for the return journey as it gets cold in the jerp.

Unfortunately the company cancelled our elephant tour because of the weather, they swapped our trip to the dry forest instead.

On completion of booking, the company contacted us in advance and added some extra trips on alternative days. The companies manager was very pleasant, it was a little confusing because multiple people from the office were contacting me in advance on WhatsApp.

We were unfortunately disappointed with the service after comparing it to other companies we used.

You’re paying for a driver to take you from place to place and you are paying more than if you hired a driver yourself. Getting from A-B is not a tour with a tour guide like we expected, it’s a means of transportation.

We bumped into our driver from Fort Kochi on the way to Munnar, he explained the tour he was doing in the same area and we were sad that we hadn’t cancelled and stuck with them. We also met back up with some friends we had made in Fort Kochi and they had seen lots of wild elephants over the same time period that we were in the area so again we were disappointed that part of our trip had been cancelled.

The tea plantation and dry forest were both absolutely fantastic, those tours are provided by the individual places themselves, again this tour company just provides transport with an occasional stop at a waterfall besides the road.

Our drivers were very pleasant, the cars were clean and they drove well, but it was very obvious that their job was simply to get us from A-B so we were disappointed with this.

The route is planned, I presume with incentives for the company, the spice garden was an aggressive sales woman trying to pedal overpriced treatments which was a shame because other companies we used for the rest of our holiday purposefully avoided these kind of places.

There were so so many amazing looking food options available on route, we unfortunately were taken to a Chinese restaurant on our first day with the company which we unfortunately didn’t enjoy. We asked the manager if we could specifically not to be taken back to the same restaurant again for lunch because we didn’t want to eat Chinese or fusion food (nothing against Chinese food but I want to eat local food while I’m in India), but we were taken back to the same restaurant so ended up missing lunch because of it one day. I’m fairly certain we also missed lunch an additional day because of traffic so were left eating little snacks that we picked up in the late afternoon instead of a meal.

It was our intention to see the tiger reserves however we decided to not go along with the additional trip as we didn’t want to do it through the company.

The drivers were very pleasant and it’s not their fault that I’m writing a poor review, as were all the staff. I’m very pleased that we saw the tea plantations and the dry forest.
I think we were mislead that the trips would be with an actual tour guide.

Unfortunately we had a far superior service with other companies.

We recently took a tour of Wild Elephant Village - Anakulum. Our Guide was Suresh. Overall it was a great trip with spectacular views of tea gardens, hiking through waterfalls, walk through the tiger's cave. The jeep tour through the poorly structured roads was scary. The jeep tour may not be appropriate for those with back problems. We also had a chance to see how rubber is processed from trees. We were not fortunate to see the elephants that day. We waited about four and a half hours with no luck seeing the elephants. The guide forgot to mention all places shut down early and we were left hungry with no dining places open after 9 pm.

The other serious drawback of this trip was the lunch. The guide took us to a cheap and low-quality restaurant. The food was not only of poor quality, unlike what one would expect for the charges levied on this trip but also the hygienic conditions of this restaurant were substandard. The toilet facilities were extremely poor.

I am skeptical of recommending this trip to others hoping to have a good time.

Suresh drove us around all day through Munnar. This feels like the best possible way to experience such a vast place. The highlight was him taking us to his village - in the middle of a scenic tea plantation - and then having his lovely wife give us a tour. It was a wonderful insight into people living a very different life to mine and I felt very grateful for the experience. Suresh was an informative and very funny tour guide. He was also willing to put in the hard yards to show us elephants and obviously really cares about the experience he cultivates for tourists. The only caveat is that yes, elephants are guaranteed and you will probably see them after an hour or two of waiting but it could be much much longer, sometimes to the middle of the night. Worth considering but even without elephants, this was an awesome experience and worth doing for the price.

We had an unforgettable experience on the Anakkulam Wild Elephant Village Tour with our amazing guide, Suresh. The day was filled with breathtaking views and a deep connection to nature that we'll cherish forever.

Suresh went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. He made an extra effort to find elephants, and we were thrilled when we finally spotted them in a tea plantation. The sight of these majestic creatures against the backdrop of the lush green tea fields was truly epic.

From the scenic jeep ride through the village to the thrill of spotting wild elephants, every moment was magical. The peaceful ambiance of the village and the warmth of the local people added a special touch to our day.

If you're looking for a unique and immersive experience in Munnar, I highly recommend this tour. It's a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, and Suresh's dedication and expertise truly enhanced our journey.

Thank you for a wonderful day that we'll never forget!

We had an amazing day with Ganesh. From the very start we were immersed in the life and culture of Munnar with many personalised touches along the way. Within the day we saw so much - including amazing waterfalls, tea estates, and Tiger Cave. Ganesh kept his finger on the pulse all day ensuring that we had the best chance to see elephants - and rushed us to the spot in time to see a family of 4. Ganesh was kind and considerate, and very flexible, we had a great time. I would recommend to anyone staying in Munnar.

      Highly recommend.

Suresh picked us up from our hotel and took us around for the whole day. He took us to a small town where we had fresh teas and then up into the hills to see then plantations. We were able to walk along the plantations, taking in the scenery.

Suresh also took us to waterfalls, hanging bridges, caves and somewhere fantastic for lunch where we had a superb curry!

We managed to finish off the day watching elephants in their watering hole before heading back to our hotel.

The view cannot recommend this trip enough. Furthermore, Suresh, was brilliant as a tour guide - full of knowledge & advice and made us feel comfortable to take our time whilst taking in the sights.

My wife and I took the Elephant Village Tour with Mani and it was awesome. We were never rushed with Mani telling us we should take as long as we wanted and to ask to stop at any time we saw something we wanted to photograph. We saw lots of wildlife, including a first for Mani - a scorpion! The highlight though was the wild elephants coming down to drink at dusk. Mani was full of info telling us how the local people live and showing us all sorts of interesting things. I'd definitely recommend this trip.

We had a full day trip with Suresh who drove us through the tea plantations, spice plantations, waterfalls, and other spectacular nature spots along the way, and finally arriving at Anakulam to see the wild elephants. We didn’t have to wait much to see the first family of elephants - they came to the river while it was still light out. Then came 3 more families so we were really lucky! Other highlights of the tour was Suresh’s invitation to his house for tea, where we were welcomed by his lovely wife. Also a swim at a natural pool near the Perimbankuthu waterfalls was also an unforgettable experience.

We had a great day with Ganesh Raja. He took the time to explain a lot to us and rehearse several times so that we understand how we are not Anglophones. We did not see elephants because we had to wait late and the children were tired but we saw beautiful landscapes!
The point to improve is at the level of the meal, very spicy as very often in Kerala for Europeans so impossible to eat for children and the quantities were far too large.
