  • Check out Chandni Chowk, the Red Fort, and more, and hear about them from a guide
  • Traditional breakfast and small-group numbers for enriching experience
What to expect
Greet your guide early in Central Delhi and hop on your provided bicycle. Then, don your helmet and head into the early-morning streets behind your guide. Absorb the city’s mellow atmosphere before it comes alive for the day and watch early-bird locals go about their business. Cycle the narrow lanes and stop to see landmarks that encapsulate Old Delhi’s 400-year history. Take in the 17th-century Jama Masjid mosque and admire the Red Fort, the red-sandstone fortress-palace with walls rising above the old quarter. Pedal into Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi’s oldest markets, to experience its early bustle, and view the colorfully decorated shops and vividly dressed locals. Then, delve into the nearby wholesale spice market—the largest in Asia—awash with spice, herb, and nut stalls. Finally, head to a well-known flatbread (paratha) stop for an authentic Indian breakfast before your tour ends at the original meeting point.

Tenzin and Vishnu coordinated the trip so well. We were given clear instructions from the start that allowed us to navigate the narrow lanes and main roads safely.

What I particularly enjoyed was the ease with which the route was planned. The old city has maze like lanes but Tenzin knew the insider routes and gave us a good snapshot of life around the old town area. Havelis, famous food joints, early morning activities in a local park and a visit to the wholesale spice center were the highlights of our tour. We had a four hour ride through the old city and ended it with some delicious puri at a well known local joint.

Thank you for the fun tour, felt like we were travelling with a bunch of friends.

Tenzin is an excellent guide, he makes you feel very safe and has lots of knowledge about the area. A bike tour is a fabulous way to see Old Delhi. We stopped for coffee and then breakfast, trying poora for the first time which was delicious. The coffee was excellent too and a great experience. We stopped for photos along the way and saw just about all the sights - Jami Masjid, Chandni Chowk, spice market, Red Fort and the railway station! We would highly recommend Tenzin and his colleague Raju, definitely one not to miss. Thank you

I don’t know where to start. This was so out of my comfort zone and I loved every minute of it. I’m not a strong bike rider and am 65 so wasn’t sure how I would do. Tenzin and Raju took such good care of me. It turned out I was the only person on the ride. It was fascinating to tour the alley ways and side streets watching the city come to life. Stops for coffee, breakfast, chai and sweets were all included. They chose very carefully where you eat. It was all delicious. Tenzin is very knowledgeable about the city and stops along the way to point out interesting spots and tells you the history of same. I never once felt unsafe despite my wobbly bike riding. Near misses were the norm but everyone watches out for each other and the chaos works. I would highly recommend this tour or any tour offered by this company. I’m from Canada and this is my first trip to India. Take this tour, you will not be disappointed. Barb T.

The delhi bike tour was absolutely amazing and a great way to experience the city in a different way than usual. We got to experience the city waking up and had an amazing local breakfast experience! We also got to be apart of the crazy traffic in Delhi (which you have to be prepared for).
I recommend this tour for everyone who wants a different view of Delhi and experience the city by bike.

Without a guide you would never experience the intricate maze of lane ways through Old Delhi either by foot or by bike. To experience the streets waking up, small business starting the day with food & chai, prayers over the loud speaker, the locals going about their daily lives will be something I’ll treasure. Tenzin was a fabulous guide with stories to entertain us and a passion for us to understand what it’s like to live in Old Delhi. As a solo female traveler I felt safe with my group at all times. The tour gave me the confidence to visit the spice market the next day as it was closed on Sunday. The perfume of spice and rose in the air was quite beautiful. I loved every minute of this tour and will definitely book again.

I 100% recommend this tour for anyone visiting Delhi. It provides a unique way to experience Delhi and learn and see things you otherwise wouldn't be able to on a regular tour - incidentally I did a walking tour the day before with another guide of some of the same areas we covered on the bike tour and it was pale in comparison. I did the old Delhi tour with Tenzin and he has a tonne of knowledge about Delhi, the history and the daily life of people who live in these parts. The bike part added an interesting and fun dimension - and it was a lot easier than I expected. Granted you're dodging and weaving people, scooters, rickshaws, horses and everything in between but that added to the fun - and it was totally safe! If you could do just one tour in Delhi, make it this one. It's worth it.

This was a really good outing, worth the early wake up! Get to see the old Delhi and hear the history of the city (as well as tasting the local food and Chai). Unfortunately the old fort was closed however I still think the tour was worth it.
If I was here longer I would definitely do the south Delhi tour too!

A unique way to experience Old Delhi where you literally can touch the atmosphere and culture with excellent guiding. An early morning call kicks you directly into a world few have experienced. In a safe and moderate speed you will experience Old Delhi waking up. It's nor tiring or dangerous but your pulse and emotions will go rollercoaster.
Our guides (Joe & Biki) did an excellent job monitoring the traffic, the chaos, our questions, the speed and also give us the chance of tasting the real Delhi.
DO NOT MISS THIS!!

We did the "Old Delhi with a twist" tour with Tenzin and Raju.
For me (4th tour of Old Delhi) the tour gave some fun new insights and showed me new roads I hadn't seen before.
For my two sisters (first time in India) it gave a great overview on the Old city while also showing some hidden gems.
We also loved the Tibetan colony and breakfast with which the tour concluded.

Group size was very small (just the three of us) and bikes were well maintained.

Tenzin and Raju were fantastic guides and I will come back next time we have visitors.

Thank you so much for the great experience!
