- neiltA709UY0 contributionsGreat tour of Recife, despite state-wide holiday.Full day tour of Recife Guide: Baruque Bernardo; Driver: Vanderlei Unfortunately, March 6 is Dia da Revolução Pernambucana de 1817, and is a state-wide holiday, which meant that many things were closed. My guide, Baruque, made the most of it. We toured some areas not seen the previous day, and visited the community of Morro da Conceição, including the Sanctuário de Nossa Senhora da Conceição. We visited the Museu do Homen do Nordeste, and finished the day visiting the Instituto Ricardo Brennand. Unfortunately the Casa-Museu Magdalena e Gilberto Freyre was closed, so I visited it the following morning (going to and from by Uber). There is much to see in Recife and Olinda, and it was not possible, in my visit, to see everything. However, the guide did a wonderful job of showing as much as possible in the time available. Totally punctual company, with qualified guides. We took the Praia dos Rameiros and city tours.
Incredible tours, with safety and comfort. I would like to say a big thank you to the Wagner guides and especially to Baruque who, in addition to having 50 years of knowledge as a guide, has an excellent sense of humor that makes the tour even more fun!

Recife is a cradle of Brazilian colonial history. I thought there was a lack of informative, historical content. The places visited are good but it would be more interesting if we heard stories that would help us understand more about that exuberant (but decadent...) architecture and the city's golden age. Para quem gosta de história do Brasil, ou simplesmente tem curiosidade sobre a formação das cidades estará na excursão certa. Muito rica em detalhes. O guia André possui muitas informações que enriquece nosso conhecimento. O Mosteiro de São Bento em minha opinião foi o ápice do passeio, visto que aí chegarmos estava havendo um ofício dos monges entoando cantos gregorianos. Gostei muito.

The tour was very nice, we went in family and our children were able to get to know and learn a little more about the history of Recife and Olinda. The guide was very pleasant and proved to know very well the places where we passed.
