From US$114.00
Eliminate the hassle of choosing among complicated transportation options to reach Tortuguero National Park by taking a guided tour. This tour from San Jose includes all transportation by car and boat—plus a full tour of the park upon arrival—making a feasible day trip out of an otherwise tricky trip.
What to Expect
Your tour to Tortuguero National Park starts with early morning pickup from your San Jose hotel. Drive through the mountainous and waterfall-studded passes of Braulio Carrillo National Park, breaking up the drive with breakfast at a popular roadside restaurant (included).

Then, board a boat and set sail for one hour to reach Tortuguero National Park, which is inaccessible by road; keep watch for birds and other wildlife along the way. Upon arrival at the park, board another boat for a 3-hour ride tour through a network of creeks and lagoons as your guide tells you about the area’s ecosystem and helps you spot wildlife.

Break for lunch at Evergreen Lodge (included) and then begin the return trip to your San Jose hotel.
