    What to Expect

If you imagine Alaska as a place to get away from it all and enjoy the serenity of the wilderness then the Orcas Cove sea kayaking is the tour for you. Our 3 hour tour is a kayak and boating adventure that allows visitors to escape the crowds in Ketchikan. Orcas Cove is the name of the place where we kayak, we don't see orcas every day, but with 3 hours on the water we do have excellent chances to spot marine wildlife. The true highlight of the Orcas Cove tour is exploring the secluded coves and rainforest islands by sea kayak with very knowledgeable guides, although the snack of local smoked salmon and hummus from our favourite local cafe' on board the mothership after paddling is ranked a close second by many of our guests.

This was a gorgeous trip- cheaper than the cruise companies, MUCH smaller groups, and a very competently-run outfit. Our only bit of caution: While the most arduous part of the excursion may be the stairs leading to the office, we were glad our elderly folks...More

Devon and his crew did a great job for our group of 7. Very friendly staff, nice facilities, relaxing and educational kayak trip. Our guide, a retired veterinarian, was seasoned and experienced, and made for a fun outing. The snacks on the boat after our...More

My partner and I had a beautiful time seeing the town of Ketchikan by kayak this week while in port with Holland-America. Our guide Kevin was stellar; informative and entertaining. The water was calm enough even for a couple of novices, and the scenery was...More

We found the activity by doing a quick google search and came across the company. We called as we were coming in to port to ask about timing, pricing, etc. I particularly liked this business because it is independent, locally owned and operated, and not...More
