Great high energy show
The show is truly choreographed and scripted down to the second. They did a great job sticking to that.

This was a perfect performance to take my teen and tween to as part of our Chicago getaway. It is close to the Belmont stop on the Red Line and we easily walked the theater.
The kids were thoroughly entertained and we all laughed, clapped and really enjoyed ourselves! There is audience participation and my oldest was asked to take part which was a really cool experience. Even without that fun extra, we still would give this 5 stars.
Know they are serious about Covid precautions and at the time of this writing they do require proof of vaccination and masks.
Try GroupOn for special ticket prices which is where I bought ours.

We weren't exactly sure what we were getting into, but it was awesome! Very interactive for all ages. They bring the audience into the show well and capture your attention the entire time. We took our high school sons and they loved it! Would recommend to all ages. Kids under 8 seemed to wear ear muffs, not a bad idea. We had great seats sitting in the center section - probably not a bad seat in the house!

Seeing the Blue Man Group has been on my bucket list for so long. When I saw they were starting back up their shows I bought tickets immediately. It was more than I anticipated or expected. I love every second of the show. I would pay the money and go see them all over again..even if it was the same routine as this one. They included people from the audience every so often. I was surprised they did that with covid but they put face shields on and provided them to whatever guest they picked out to come up on stage. They did a really good job with showing no emotion! I think I was most impressed with that. If you’re questioning whether you should pay to see them, do it.

Great matinee option that was fun for all ages! My husband and I have both seen Blue Man in Las Vegas, but the Chicago show was a first for us, with our 8 year old joining in the fun.

All of the logistics were smooth. We arrived about a half hour early, and queued in the lobby/gift shop. Once we went in, the ushers were great about getting to your seats. It was a little tough finding a taxi after the show, but we went down a couple blocks and eventually got one.

The show itself is a ton of fun, with a good mix of music and participation. We did have some hearing protection for our daughter, but the theatre provides some too, if you need it. It really is amazing the amount of things they can cram into such a confined stage area.

We sat center section in the middle, about 5 rows back from the poncho section. I’m not sure there’s a bad seat in the house, though!

Surprisingly, this doesn’t seem to have been updated in 20+ years (kind of unfathomable considering how far technology has come since). It moves much too slowly, a lot of the bits are just plain boring (the audience participation “wedding“ was cringeworthy), and the schtick of blank looks & ad nauseam head turning gets fast. Video screen image quality is abysmal. There’re a couple of impressive stunts (performers are talented), and the water tornadoes are super cool (wish they’d been left on throughout the show).

This show has been going on for many years and its good for a laugh. We especially liked the bit with the crawlers on the sides of the stage at the beginning of the show calling out audience members by name. The show is a weird nonverbal performance art and sight gag kind of show. If you haven't seen it before, its sort of fun and different than seeing a musical. The show does not appear to have changed much so if you have seen it, it probably won't be much different a second time. Also, most of the comedy bits from the show can be seen on line so there won't be too many surprises.

My teenage kids liked it but weird humor is kind of their thing. If you like more mainstream entertainment, this isn't for you.

My one caution is that the sounds and lights at the very beginning of the show are loud and intense. If you have kids under 5 or kids with noise or sensory issues, you might be making a hasty exit.

Took two 13 year Olds, 9 year old and my 40 year old daughter. Everybody enjoyed the show. We went to the 2pm matinee which seemed to be more kid friendly. The theater was 1/2 full. We sat in row K middle section which was perfect for the 9 year old to see. The first 3 or 4 rows were not elevated much so she would have struggled to see the entire stage plus the house band above the actors.
We took the brown line then walked a few blocks to the small theater. The neighborhood seemed safe and had restaurants , vintage shops and a few bars if you are looking for something to do afterward.
Definitely recommend if you visit Chicago, and looking for something indoor and reasonably priced, especially with kids.
Please note, we went on March 24th 2022 and they still required proof of vaccine and masks.

The show was not very entertaining. Relied on some cheap laughs and dubed over sounds, at one point they left the stage and played a video of them pretending as if they were doing that live. Technology dressing up a catching marshmallows in their mouths act.

This was an excellent show with some great audience interactions. Very funny from the moment you enter the theatre to take your seat till the very end of the show. We attended the matinee and felt the show was "toned" down a little due to children being present but this is not a complaint. We would definitely see these guys again in another city.
