We did this tour with a group of eight women. I’ve been on many duck tours and I have to say this one was one of the dullest. Portland is a beautiful city with tons of history. More effort was put into building up going into the water than the tour itself. Once in the water,

A few hours before the tour, I received a call that the tour had been cancelled due to some mechanical difficulties. We made a quick change of plans and ended up at the Portland Head Lighthouse. Probably that was a better choice for our time and low cost. Fortunately our refund

We had a really good time on our tour. We used a Groupon and only paid $22 pp- so I would recommend looking on there to save some $$. The tour lasts about an hour and goes through some of downtown Portland and then through the water, pointing out historical sites for both.

The city tour was very nice and informative. The water tour was terrible you could've seen everything from shore. They just did a big circle in the bay.

We appreciate your feedback and that you found the land portion of the tour "very nice and informative." The water portion of our tour is not an extensive harbor cruise, however the opportunity to drive our amphibious vehicle into Portland Harbor, learn of Fort Gorges, the Calendar Islands, lobstering and the lighthouses (viewed in the distance) while IN the water - the novelty of experiencing both land and sea from an amphibious vehicle.

This tour was a complete waste of time and money. They whiz you around some back streets quickly pointing out some historical places and then take you to float in the water about 50 feet from the shore while the captain talks about global warming and lets ppl sit in his chair.

Andrea, we’re sorry to hear you found Al’s tour “lame.” Our guides do spend the majority of the one hour tour providing historical and relevant modern info about Portland and the region. With this said, our guides may also share bits of their personal lives, as they relate to their life in Portland. We cover Portland’s Old Port, and nearly half of the tour is spent along the coastline in Portland Harbor. For those seeking a more extensive harbor cruise we do have great recommendations w other Portland operators. Thank you for sharing of your experience.
