Explore Portland’s bridges, rivers, and vibrant neighborhoods up close without getting in a car or walking, on a Segway. The tours are designed for visitors who want to pack a lot of sightseeing into 1.5-2 hours and get an overview of the city’s Westside and downtown areas. Enjoy fresh air and insightful commentary as you get to know the City of Roses, and spot places you might revisit.
  • Visit Portland sights and neighborhoods on a Segway See more of the city in less time with insights from your guide Choose from a waterfront or downtown tour depending on interests Get fresh air and try a new way of getting around the city
What to Expect
Meet your group and guide at an agreed upon downtown location and have a short safety briefing and orientation on the how to use a Segway. Start off traveling along the west bank of the Willamette River, while your guide gives context on what you are seeing. Take in river views and see the famous bridges that span the waterway and give Portland one of its nicknames: Bridge City Next, ride through Chinatown for a taste of Portland’s history, and see Jeld-Wen Field, home to Portland’s beloved Timbers. See the Portland Art Museum and central business district, before returning to the starting point. For a longer tour, choose the downtown tour, which continues on across the river to see the home of the Trail Blazers, and to explore NW Portland’s hip Pearl District, filled with boutiques, galleries, countless restaurants, and Powell’s Books.

The Segway tour was fun. Covered a lot of territory and was able to take breaks along the way. Melissa was very patient with participants that were apprehensive.

Our guide, John, was very entertaining. He was calm and relaxed and had a great sense of humour. The tour took us by the riverside, across an amazing bridge, down the other side of the river and back across another amazing bridge. All this came with history and commentary. I

Riding the Segway was by far the best part of this tour. Our guide was nice, and knew a lot of info about Portland. But the tour was a lot of pointing to or talking about buildings & tunnels and stuff we couldn't really see.
