The Portland Experience

We took the Portland City Tour June 30th with Adam as our tour guide. He proved very knowledgeable and entertaining and gave us tons of information about the City,
history and geography of Portland and mixed it with personal stories about his upbringing in Portland. We saw the Willamette Falls, Oregon City and some historic spots connected to the history of Oregon. Then we proceeded to Downtown to see some of the highlights of the City. At the end of the tour was the Rose Garden which was in full bloom. We did not see the Pittock Mansion but they seem to keep the tour flexible.
In general: If you want to get a lot of information about Portland and Oregon, choose this tour.Highly recommended.

Great overview of Portland!

Carrie was fantastic. This was our first trip to Portland and she gave us an excellent overview and lay of the land and got to see some highlights. I highly recommend this for first time visitors! And great customer service - I booked this at 10pm on Thursday, and was confirmed for 9am on Friday! Very smooth!

My tour guide, Carrie was awesome!!! She was the most sweetest tour guide ever! She knew great information and history of Portland. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who's a first time visit to Portland. What made it more sweet was; I did my tour on a Sunday and it was quiet....keep up the great work Carrie!! 👍👍👍

Beautiful City
Great tour of Portland, Willamette Falls, Lake Oswego. Awesome opportunity to visit surrounding cities and experience the rich history of Oregon with a knowledgeable Portlander. Phil was great.

This was a first time visit to Portland, Oregon. This tour was good it took us around the downtown area of Portland and was insightful. Highlight was the Pittcock mansion. Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive, however my best friend and I didn’t appreciate side comments being made along the way not only by our guide but also a few of the group members regarding people from California. Aside from the rude comments the tour was good.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaged. It was a pleasant morning. She just needs to manage her time slightly better , because we were out of time when we reached the Rose Garden at the end of the tour.

Pittock mansion best part

Could have spent more time st pittock to take in views as wel as mansion, rest of tour mediocre, wasted time touri g "newer parts " south of downtown.

Portland is amazing, and with so much to see, this tour was the perfect jumping off point. We definitely hit the perfect time of year. The Rose Garden was in bloom and smelled amazing, the Chinese Garden shimmered in the sun and provided a wonderful photo op at every turn. This particular tour actually included an inside tour of the Pittock Mansion which was a real treat to see. And the Blue Star coffee & donuts at the beginning was yummy. I would take this tour again!

Fantastic Portland City Tour

Fantastic 3.5 hour city tour conducted by Steve for only 3 people. He picked us up in the lobby of the Benson Hotel at 8:45 am and we toured until 12:30 in a big modern Mercedes van. His knowledge and communication of history, business, social issues, botany, restaurants, current happenings and Portland in general was fantastic. He was a very careful driver and wonderful tour guide. The three stops: Pittock Mansion, Rose Garden and Chinese Garden were excellent choices. He got us to the Mansion as it opened so we were able to be in the rooms and take photos without anyone else in the rooms. Conducting the tour for only 3 people was wonderful and worthy of our big tip.
There was a problem with signing up for the tour via telephone thru Viator. Adam to whom were talking was obviously in another country. His email confirmation did not tell us where we would be picked up or provide us a phone number to call. It did identify it would be Hub World Tours. We Googled them, got a Portland telephone number, called them and all was well. They did have our paid reservation. It is probably best to register online.
It was a wonderful tour well worth the $65 each plus a much deserved big tip. Kudos to Steve and Hub World Tours. Very glad we did it.
