Just an overall perfect day and tour. Damon was an awesome tour guide and a fount of knowledge. Not only did he give great factual information about the history and landscape, but fascinating stories about the legendary folklore of the area. One of the wineries was ok (a little too "snooty" for me), but the second winery stop was just plain fun and super good and reasonably priced wine. They even had llamas in the back yard. The scenery leading up to Mount Hood was beautiful and for this Florida girl, being in a snow storm and going to Timberlake Lodge in over a foot of snow, made the day. Can't wait to get back to the Portland area and do another tour with them.

We booked the tour about a week before it started on Dec 28, 2019. This was the only one-day tour left we could find online and the price was lower than similar tours that had been fully-booked. Therefore, we were a little afraid for the quality of the tour. However, it turned out that this tour is better than our expectation. The tour is amazing. We didn’t taste wine at all, but we were very enjoyable because the scenery was so beautiful and peaceful. Marcus, the tour guide, is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about everything in the region. We love the pizzas he ordered for us at lunch; looks like he also has good taste too. We were happy with this tour.

Thank you for the great review, Hy! That's the beauty of the first vineyard; if you're not into wine, you can get beer, cider, or kombucha instead! Glad you had a good time!

I have so many great things to say about this tour. Marcus did a great job reading our group and being flexible with our stops. There were only four of us and all wine lovers so we had an extra stop! Great communicator, very knowledgeable. The vehicle was perfectly equipped for heading ho the mountain in snow so we had no problems. I was so happy to book this to taste different Oregon wines and still see a top attraction (Mt. Hood) and experience different weather!

I gave this a 5 star rating even though we had vehicle issues and the trip was cut short. We did not make it to Mnt Hood. However— we did see the falls and we made it to the two wineries including lunch. We didn’t break down until we were headed up to Mnt Hood. Our tour guide— Damon— was so excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Oregon and a variety of other topics. He was also very hospitable, making sure everyone was comfortable and safe. He handled the vehicle breakdown with such grace and calm. The owner, Marcus, compensated us fairly as well. I would absolutely take this trip again and use the same service.

Our tour guide Marcus was full of knowledge about all things Portland, nature, waterfalls and wine! The day started with a stop at Multnomah falls and sped by with well planned/timed spots along the way. My choice of the charcuterie lunch paired v well with the delicious wine tasting. My son and husband were extremely pleased with their choice of a big steak sub each. An extra stop at a lovely fruit stand was added where we had a picture perfect view of Mt Hood. The van was very comfortable too!

The stop at Multnomah Falls provided a breathtaking view and tons of photo opportunities. Even though it was pouring rain in October, it was beautiful. The first wine tasting stop could have been avoided. The second seemed more cohesive. We also made a random stop to Draper Girls fruit stand, which could probably have been cut out. We spent a little less than an hour at Mount Hood, which was honestly pretty disappointing, but our guide, Marcus, was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Lunch is light and snacks weren’t offered until towards the end of the trip. Be prepared to purchase your wine flights! It was a nice day trip, even with the rain. Make sure to dress for the weather!

Hi Kimberly. This is advertised as a wine tour, so unless everybody in the group wants to cut out a winery, we go to 2 wineries. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Draper Girls, as most people love that stop. Ultimately, the amount of time we spend on Mt. Hood will depend on whether we're on schedule, which is largely a function of how prompt the guests are at arriving for pickup in the morning and returning to the vehicle at the stops, as some people have dinner reservations for which they need to be back.

The best part was the Multnomah Waterfall and the Timberlake Lodge view. The Falls was spectacular to watch. From the Lodge we got a good view of Mt. Hood.
Our guide, Marcus, was knowledgeable and informative about the area, history, geology, animal & plant life, wine & vineyards.
The wine tasting was a nice break from riding and the lunch was overwhelming.
Would have liked for the tour to have included more of the Columbia Gorge.

Scenery and waterfalls were beautiful...the weather was gorgeous. Views of Mt Hood were great. Wineries were nice. Lunch wasn't very good. We were never offered water or snacks. Marcus our guide was nice...very informative about the area and wine making. Nice group of people.

Deb, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy lunch. You're the first person I've ever had complain about it. People usually LOVE the lunch from Wheels at Wy'East. Also, I offer snacks and water every day, so perhaps you were out of earshot???

I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! Incredible beauty and variety in a single day. Great for visitors and locals too! And Marcus is the best guide ever. Super organized and incredibly knowledgeable (like, seriously) about everything. Volcanoes, check. Wildlife, yup. Wine, you bet. Trees, plants, fungi (got a PhD in that). Oregon history, Indigenous lore, Portland secret spots, etc. etc. Such a fun and interesting day. Just a great tour!
