A meal at a local restaurant is also covered in the price. The hikes are not strenuous and not longer than 20-30min each. The guide Angelica was fantastic - caring, engaging and knowledgeable. Our tour guide Marina took us for an amazing trip along the north of Gran Canaria in a small group of six persons.
The tour involved four stops. The first in a small village where you can pick up some supplies. Marina gave us a short introduction to the municipalities of GC and the other islands.
After that we were off to the rainforest for a few hours. We hiked along a beautiful and quiet path. The walk can get a little technical but Marina is very helpful if you have any difficulties. She also knows a lot about the local plant life. If you are interested in plants and herbs this is a total treat. The destination is a larger waterfall with a natural pool where you can go swim! This walk was really the high point of the tour for us.
The third stop is a local family run coffee plantation. The family gave us a tour explaining about all the different plants they grow and how the coffee is produced. There is an extra fee for this of 10 euros but all the goodies you get to try make it totally worth it. It is also a very nice way to relax after the rainforest hike.
The final stop is a natural swimming pool next to the see at Agaete. It was a bit too cold to swim when we were there though.
All in all we had a very good time and highly recommend the experience :)

As the tour starts in North expect that drive in the bus will take some time. Angelica was very friendly guide and showed us the walking path through alley. Raul joined us when we started walking back and both of them told us very useful and interesting facts about the history of the island and vegetation. Lunch was quite cosy and tasteful - local grown treats were very refreshing. Day was very windy but we managed to swim at the ocean pools despite quite big waves. Overall the day was amazing and thanks to the team that takes care of such activity and are very welcoming. One last thing - I expected longer and more difficult hike but you have to adjust to the group - and it was real nice to see one older couple climbing up rocks.

Dear QValdis,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Full Day Rainforest Tour! We're pleased to hear that you had a great experience and appreciate your understanding of the travel time necessary to reach the north. It's wonderful to know that Angelica and Raul enhanced your tour with their friendly guidance and insightful facts about Gran Canaria's history and natural environment.
We're glad you enjoyed the locally sourced lunch and found it refreshing, and that despite the windy conditions, you were able to enjoy a swim in the ocean pools. Your feedback regarding the hike's difficulty is valuable to us, as it helps us balance the needs and expectations of all our guests.
Thank you for recognizing the efforts of our team. We hope to welcome you back soon for another adventure, perhaps one that can challenge you a bit more on the trails!
Kind Regards,
The Climbo Team

For the price, the value was not great.
One of the guides spoke English very poorly and I also I didn't feel safe when driving with him (he drove pretty fast and wore his sunglasses in the tunnel).
The first stop was in a little village, which was quite nice.
The walk to the natural pools was also nice, but didn't last very long. For bathing in the pools I'd recommend some kind of swimming shoes as you don't get out this easily and the water is not that deep. For a so-called "rainforest tour" the stay in the rainforest was very short (well we stayed there for 2h but most of the time we were just standing around and not walking).
The ecological farm was nice, but we didn't eat products from there (they brought them from the supermarket). The food was good and enough for all of us. After eating we stayed a long time at the farm, although there was nothing to do.
The last stop was very nice for swimming and the highlight of the tour (although it should have been the rainforest).
The guides are taking pictures all the time, which can be downloaded later (but everybody gets all the pictures so be careful if you don't want pictures in your underwear on other people's phones). Also the guides pressured you into taking pictures. All of the time they tried to play some "games", in which you needed to take pictures of different monuments and stuff, instead of just letting you explore yourself.

Thank you for your review, we apologize for any inconvenience caused during your tour. Our aim is to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for all of our customers. We take your comments regarding the guide's language skills and driving behavior seriously and will address this with our team to ensure that our customers feel comfortable and secure at all times.
Regarding the visit to the ecological farm, we would like to clarify that we do our best to provide our customers with fresh and local produce. As the farm is small and production varies with the seasons, we sometimes supplement our offerings with additional products sourced from the local supermarket to ensure our customers are able to taste a variety of ecological products from the area.
We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the village and natural pools, but we apologize if you felt the rainforest visit was too short. We take note of your recommendation for swimming shoes and will make sure to communicate this to future customers. We also appreciate your feedback on the picture-taking games and will review this aspect of our tour to ensure that customers feel comfortable and free to explore at their own pace.
Best regards from the Climbo Team.

This tour shows a very different part of the island than the touristic south part.
Started with some information of Gran Canaria and the other island of the Canaries. Then we did a hike with halfway a beautiful ice cold swimming spot and a nice way up. After this we’ve seen some great secret spots of the North-West side of the rocky Island.
Our guide was Lucas and he knew en told a lot about the island and the fruits and plants.
We have never had a better guide at tours like this before!

The new concept, staying more outside and not in the car was really good. The rainforest tour was excellent, not too long, not too short. The finca with the picnic was really cool. Ist was a good posibility to interact and talk with the other group members. The tour in general was however carried bei the tourguide marina. On really feels her love the Island and she transports that feeling to others.
On thing that could bei improved is stating more clearly in the description that the picnic costs 10 Euro p.p.. I'd rather want to know what is to bei expected. Nobody likes additional costs.

The trip was really great, our tour guide Marine was doing her job with love and passion, everything what she said was so interesting, about people living on the island, about history of the island. She took us to local places and we had really great fun during the all trip. We couldn’t imagine someone better for our trip guide. I am sure we will stay in touch when I will visit Gran Canaria again.

This trip was amazing! The whole experience was one to remember, from start to end Marina made it fun with so much passion and excitement about the island, she had so much knowledge! The hike was the main highlight, not too long nor short with so many waterfalls and being able to swim in one of the natural pools. I would definitely recommend to those wanting a day away from the usual tourist areas to see other parts of the island up north as it’s such an easy day trip to see so much. Big thanks to Marina again!

What's so special about it you ask? Okay
let's start with our guide Angélica: Not
only was she really knowledgable in
everything about the island, especially
its history and the local flora and fauna,
no she also told us about these things
with a great enthusiasm and passion in
a really sympathic way, which made this
real fun. Secondly, we also had a really
great mixed group and it was great
getting to know them a little bit and
spending the day with them. And last, but
not least the experience itself. We visited
the beautiful city of Firgas, with water
steps running through it and a great
view. Then the highlight, the canarian
rainforest, the laurisilva, which is a very
different environment from anything else
l've seen here, you'll have to see that
one in person. You can also bathe there
in mountain spring water, don't jump in
there with goggles :) Later we went to an
ecological farm in the vicinity and had a
delicious lunch with lots of fruits from the
farm. And it still wasn't over, last but not
least, we visited a natural swimming pool
and swam there as well. All in all a very
cool experience I wouldn't wanna miss,I
highly recommend it!

I want to express my gratitude to the Climbo Team and especially my guides during this tour, Victor and Stijn, for an unforgettable day, with many positive emotions and friendly communication. The tour was well organized, both in terms of implementation of the stated activities and punctuality. I learned a lot of interesting things about the history and geography of the island, saw many beautiful places and enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the most northwestern point of the island.

Do you know where we are going to be picked up? I think, the pick up point is in Las Palmas, is this right?
Written 26 March 2022
I was staying in a hotel in Las Palmas and was picked up just a few minutes from my hotel. There was a British family that was staying at a resort south of Las Palmas, they said they were picked up a 25 min walk from their resort, they were happy about it as it save a taxi ride into the city.

Does this tour travel far up in the mountains or keep more near the shore? I went on a tour up the central parts of the island once before and the heights and winding roads were a bit scary.

The few stops inland are all via major roads. Nothing that people concerned with heights should be intimidated by :)
The last stop is in a town along the coast but it's not along the windy road above the ocean (further to the south). This part is along the main highway.
