We took this trip with a 10 and 7 year old and I now don't feelit is really that suitable for younger children at all.
The pick up was ontime but we were placed in side facing seats in the back of a jeep with no offer for a booster seat for the very small 7 year old. The suspension in the vehicle is VERY hard and there was heavy braking and the whole journey was just very unpleasent.
There was no introductions to the other people in the Jeep and when we arrived to the event to meet the others it was just an awful lot of faux hyped up "woos and whays" in order to get a slightly miffed very large group of people interested.
The group needed to be split so half went for a "hike" whilst the other canoed. As per previous reviews, this is through a residential area and across roads. The guide paced themselves at the speed of the fastest person leaving us several times out of sight lagging behind.
We warned that the children were nervous but they remained making jokes about snakes sharks alligators etc which fell very flat with scared kids. Little to no effort was made to encourage them to continue to participate when they felt they were not capable of the caving and a whole lot of time was spent sitting around waiting for other people to do the things that they were too scared to do.
There was no picnic as such, a few packets of meat and breadsticks with nowhere to it to eat it in a car park under some trees. Unimpressive and disorganised.
If this has been the whole experience I would have thought it still okay, but actually the thing that bothered us the most was that the entire trip just seemed to be focussed on content creation, all that seemed to be important was creating photographic content of people having a "good time" rather than people actually having a good time.
We do indeed have a photograph of us all standing with our arms in the air looking happy, but out of pressure, not pleasure.

Hello,
we are very sorry that you have not been able to enjoy The Challenge as you expected. Thank you for your comments, we are trying to be better every year so we will consider them for the next time.
There are many children who come daily to the tour and we were not aware that any of them was not comfortable or was afraid of some joke, we are sorry and your review will help us a lot to improve :)

Had a great time with my daughter. This is very well organised and run by a team that work well together and do their best to make it fun for all, i.e age group, ability or nationality. David was our driver and was great fun.
There were 30 in our tour, with half split to do kayak first and half trek first, then swapping going back in opposite directions after middle section of cave jumping and snorkelling together.
Sea got a bit choppy on way back in kayak (which made it more of a challenge and fun for us) but the leader was on hand in a motor boat, checking up on people and on hand if you ever got into trouble. They have wet suits, shoes helmets and lifejackets of all sizes and snorkels all provided.
The cave exploration was fine even for big people, it wasnt that claustrophobic inside. Just watch your elbows and ankles on the rocks inside the caves, as explained by the instructor they are like razors!

The efficiency and ease at which it was run was exemplary. The team are so upbeat and enthusiastic you can't help but get on their energy wavelength. Cave swimming and cliff diving were a huge hit, kayaking was so fun and all this along with picnic for such a small price. Tha ks guys, Highlight of the hoidiay

Wow!! This activity was so fun. We've just come back from our holiday in Mallorca and this was one of our favourite activities.
We booked this for Sunday, however, this was unfortunately cancelled due to bad weather, which is completely understandable. We were then rescheduled for the next morning, and it was great.
We got picked up at our pickup spot in one of the challenge yellow jeeps/4x4s and driven to the location, we then had a quick safety briefing and the fun began!
We started with a walk to the cliffs, where we had to slip through rocks into a sea cave, and swam through the chambers of the sea caves looking for keys to unlock the treasure. We then did a cliff jump and went snorkelling, then we got to cliff jump again and had to swim out to the kayaks to have a kayak race back to the start point.
This was so fun, the staff were great and got everyone involved and engaged, they also took loads of photos and videos for memories!
Thanks, guys, we had a great time!!

Briefly, 20 mins kayaking, caving searching for keys, cliff jump, snorkeling that small snack at the end.
Enjoyed it, my only negatives would be the site says choices of cliff jump heights and there wasn't and the 'picnic' is a little stingy.
Good day tho and staff were great, maybe should be priced a little lower or beef up the picnic a bit

Well organised and lots of fun. Suitable for any ability level - beginners at kayaking/snorkeling etc can easily take part and enjoy. Children cam enjoy too (probably no younger than about 6 or 7).
We went through a series of underground caves/caverns with sea water in them. Jumped off a 3 metre cliff. Swam about with snorkels spotting fish etc. Dived down to collect some 'treasure'. Kayaked for around 20-30 minutes in the sea.
This wasn't for the hard-core 'real adventurer', this was more a touristy, child friendly fun thing but still with an element of being challenging.
The guides were friendly, fun and multilingual. All safety equipment provided plus a modest picnic/snack table at the end. The whole thing ran about 4 hours from being picked up to being returned (they go to multiple pick-up/drop-off points round Alcudia).
They also took loads of pictures of us which were then shared for free.
I would say it was good value for money and a great activity for families as well as for couples/friends/adults. Highly recommend xxx

If you are looking to spend 2 hours out of 3 listening to a guy tell jokes that are not funny then this is your adventure. Adventure I said? Oh, this is actually the opposite. Honestly, the biggest waste of money I have spent in the last year. I am not one to leave bad reviews but this was so bad that I was laughing at myself for booking something SO bad.

Hello Bobby, We are very sorry you did not enjoy this adventure, the whole team of The Challenge works hard to give you the best of each and offer great experiences.
We believe that challenge is really an adventure, and we try to make it fun and accessible to everyone, we go kayaking, cliff jumping, enter a sea cave, search for sunken treasure while snorkeling, it is an adventure for all levels.
If you are looking for something more extreme, as our manager David told you, next year we are preparing a challenge for people who want a higher challenge :)
We would be delighted to show you the new extreme adventure.
Thank you for share your experience. We take your advice and we will try to improve our tour.

We were part of the morning group on the 18th.
From the get go the team that we had were cracking jokes and made every moment of this experience fun. As someone with a nervous disposition I was felt always at ease here knowing I was being looked after by experienced members of staff who really cared for you.
There is not one thing I would change about this experience as the team put their heart and soul into every moment and that is very obvious. I was laughing right from the start to the very end... Even ended up getting my own Barbie! 😂
10/10 would recommend to everyone of all ages!

Best. Trip. Ever. The guides were extremely knowledgable and took care of us and our son in the best way possible. The activities were challenging but they made it all very exciting and fun. They helped and encouraged out 7 year old and we have never seen him so brave before, thanks to the support from the guides. We felt safe and well taken care of, and we got to see once in a life time views and experiences in the caves and much more. Would absolutely recommend and will go again every time i get a chance. Awesome!

My boyfriend and I completed The Challenge on the 1st of July. We are both 19 years old, and were looking for a compact excursion as part of our holiday. We were absolutely blown away by our amazing experience. With enough adventure to to meet my boyfriends thrill factor, but a reassured level of safety throughout, the highly professional team met and exceed our high expectations. They arrange to meet your every need, and are highly accommodating to tourists of all nationalities, could not recommend more!

We had a pretty large group 20-25 people?) and all fit inside and had enough room to swim around. It is pretty dark and you do enter through an opening in the rocks and go through a little corridor that seemed to bother some a little but this is pretty brief. You can watch other people go in and decide not to do that part or if you get inside and find it isn’t for you the guides are very accommodating and will show you the way out. Have fun!
