Greatest experience
This trip was on our bucket list and what a check off it was!
Our guide Wes went above and beyond to make our experience memorable.
He pushed us a little on our first hike to see what we could handle and the second one was a bit harder but so worth it! The views of this spectacular park were amazing. Wes was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We highly recommend this tour!

Private 2-Day Tour - San Fran to Yosemite Valley
Aug 2021
We had originally booked the 'Yosemite Valley Lodge Independent Summer 2-Day Tour' with Incredible Adventures, however, after doing a bit of research we realized we wanted a less 'independent' experience. So, we called Incredible Adventures after booking and explained that we were two couples who were traveling together and wanted a more guided experience of the park. We were told that a better option for us would be to upgrade to a private 2-day tour of the park, so that’s what we did - and it turned out to be a really great decision for us! The evening before our tour we received a message telling us to meet our tour guide, Ellyn, in the lobby of our hotel in San Francisco. The next morning we easily found her in the lobby – she was on-time and ready to go - and after loading our suitcases into the 10-person van we were ready to drive out to the park. Having the whole van to ourselves was great - we were able to keep our bags with us and had a ton of extra room to spread out. It also meant that we could easily talk to Ellyn during the drive and ask for stops/music changes etc as we wanted. As we drove out to the park she narrated the sites around us and answered all of our questions. We stopped at a small grocery store about halfway to the park so we could use the bathroom and pick up sandwiches at the deli for a picnic lunch in the park.

When we arrived to the park entrance Ellyn stopped to let us take a picture with the park welcome sign, then after a short drive we stopped at a picnic spot where we ate our sandwiches and discussed the day's itinerary. After lunch we took a small hike into a grove of giant sequoia trees where we were able to take pictures with some of the trees. From there we drove up to Glacier Point and took in the incredible views of Yosemite Valley, the Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls. There was a bit of smoke/haze from the wildfires but overall the view was still fantastic. We also got ice cream and popsicles at the Glacier Point visitors center, yum! After taking in the views and eating our ice cream, Ellyn brought us to our hotel in the valley - Yosemite Valley Lodge. The Lodge was nice, it blended in well with the nature around it and was located in a really excellent spot to be able to take in the valley views. Due to COVID the main restaurant was closed so we ate in the Lodge’s cafeteria style dining hall. The night we were there the food options were pretty limited, but there was something for everyone to enjoy so we were happy. After dinner we grabbed a drink at the Lodge’s bar then took a little walk to see some of the valley at night. The Lodge provides a box fan in each bedroom and has ceiling fans, which was good because there isn't any air conditioning in the rooms and August tends to be a hot month. Aside from feeling a little warm in the room, it was really neat to be able to stay overnight in the valley and see the valley at night - so I'd highly recommend staying at the Lodge overnight. Since we booked a private tour we didn't have a set itinerary so we were able to plan our own activities for the second day. We woke up and had breakfast in the lodge's cafeteria then went to lower Yosemite Falls which was only a short walk from the Lodge. After going to the Falls we walked back to the Lodge and rented bicycles which we used to ride over to the base of El Capitan. I brought a pair of high-powered binoculars and a tripod with me on this trip so we were able to see some people rock climbing up the face of El Capitan, which was amazing - these mountains are so huge that without binoculars you can't see anything on the face, so I'd recommend packing a pair of binoculars if you want to see anything up close! After seeing El Cap we rode our bikes back to the Lodge, returned our bikes, then walked over to Curry Village for lunch at Degnan’s Deli (yum!). In Curry Village we met back up with Ellyn who drove us over to the Mirror Lake trailhead so we could have a shorter hike to Mirror Lake. Unfortunately, Mirror Lake was completely dry when we reached it, but it was still a pretty meadow to see. After seeing the 'lake' we walked back to the trailhead to meet up with Ellyn and begin our drive back to San Francisco. Because we had a private tour we could choose where we wanted stop for dinner - so we requested to stop at an 'In-N-Out Burger' since we don't have any in upstate New York where I live. Ellyn knew where we could stop and we ate dinner together at the In-N-Out. After dinner she drove us back to our hotel and dropped us off outside the lobby.

From start to finish, we had a super smooth and well-executed tour experience. We had such a great time with Ellyn - she is super laid back, incredibly knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to - honestly the perfect guide for us to spend two days with. If you can afford it, I'd highly recommend booking a private tour - being able to set you own itinerary and have the full attention of the tour guide is fantastic. All-in-all we loved our tour with Incredible Adventures, there isn't anything about the trip that I would change. We would absolutely book this company for a future tour, and hopefully we can work with Ellyn again!

Disaster!
On the positive side, our driver/guide got us inside Yosemite where we saw some amazing sights.

On the negative side, our driver/guide Buck was a disaster at communicating with our group & provided nothing even close to “service.” We have traveled all over the world & have had dozens of guides/tour directors. Buck ranked as one of the worst.

The more serious problem came when I woke up from the night sleeping in the motel where the tour company placed us to find bites all over my stomach, back & arms. More than 50 in all!!! When we reached San Francisco, I went to a hospital. A doctor informed me the bites were from bed bugs. He prescribed 3 medications. This experience seriously damaged the rest of our vacation because of the pain & itching.

Perfect Trip In Everyway!!!
Jul 2021
If you are like me and in between renting a car and driving to the Yosemite or this trip... especially solo travelers.... just click book now! This was all around a perfect trip!

Our tour guild, Jill, did a fantastic job of showing us all "the spots" of the park and she knew the place like the back of her hand! We saw a lot of places, I probably would have never found on my own and they were the ones with the best views. (Jill was also a great road trip DJ)

The tour was a mix of solo travelers, couples, and families, and once I entered the van at pick up, I never stopped smiling! Being a solo traveler, I felt very welcomed!

For lodging, I stayed at Cedar Lodge which was just a bit outside the park. Nothing fancy, but a solid place to rest after a long, long day! If I was to do this again, I probably woud have chosen to stay in-park just to have the experience of seeing the Yosemite at night.

2-Day Yosemite National Park Tour from San Francisco!
Oct 2019
Absolutely phenomenal experience, Rourke was an unexpected highlight of the trip as he was great to talk to and get to know. Amazing time of year to visit too as it's not too busy, the weather is great and the autumn colours are so beautiful.

Highly recommend this tour if you are limited on time as you won't waste time pondering where to go and how to get there!

Incredible adventures live up to their name!

I have just completed a fantastic two day tour of the Yosemite National Park, guided by Jaimie. The scenery is amazing, we had time for two beautiful hikes and saw several highlights of the park. The accommodation at Cedar Lodge was very nice; friendly staff and good meals. Jaimie did an amazing job of managing all of the variables involved in a two-day trip to a remote location. It is clear that Jaimie genuinely loves showing her guests the park and she works hard to get the best possible experience for everyone. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to see as much as possible in two days, with an expert guide.

2-Day Yosemite Park tour from San Francisco
Sep 2019 • Couples
The trip consists of a lot of driving, and even though the driver was very courteous, it would have been nice to include verbal history/stories to pass the time. With tip and meals, the trip is well over $1,000 for 2. I felt it was on the high end for what you get.

Yosemite is a popular and remote place which contributes to the high prices within and around the park. As safety comes first we tell our guides to primarily focus on the road, and then secondly give as much interpretive information as safe along the way. Thank you for choosing us and hope you had a nice time overall.

Lisa Lisa Lisa!!! What a FANTASTIC memory you helped make for our 2 day Yosemite Adventure!
Sep 2019
This 2 day Yosemite tour was fantastic due to the attentive, thoughtful, organized & congenial Tour Guide Hostess Lisa! Lisa, first I want to thank you for EVERYTHING. Where do I begin? From the intitial greeting with your beautiful smile & greeting to me and my husband--introducing us to the group in the van & getting us all to know one another from the start. Then the well organized stops on the way to Yosemite (at Raley's stop: instructing us where to find everything from: bathrooms, fresh food for breakfast/lunch & even reminding us of picking up sunscreen if not packed). Letting us know the timing of the 1st stop was very helpful (knowing how much time I have before my next bathroom break is extremely helpful!)

I'm a very cautious passenger, and very few people make me feel safe when driving. I felt VERY safe at all times. We had a parking congested issue & Lisa did an AWESOME job of backing up in VERY tight quarters. WOW! (I wish I had taken video, as I know no-one else who could have backed up like Lisa did in the circumstances she had--people/cars everywhere...yet SAFELY to all..)

Highlight of our San Francisco trip
Sep 2019
I would definitely recommend this trip, we had a fantastic 2 days with Lisa, and will remember forever. Since I first saw Ansell Adams photos 20+ years ago, I have wanted to visit Yosemite, and it didn't disappoint. This 2 day tour is perfect, on Day 1 Lisa drove us to all the "highlights", showing off plenty of awe-inspiring views to marvel at. Day 2 is technically a "free" day, but everyone wanted to hike so Lisa led us from Half Dome village up to the top of Vernal Falls (and beyond for some!). One of those truly satisfying experiences in life! Lisa created a really lovely atmosphere amongst 6 couples and a lone traveller who had never met before, and by the end of Day 2 there was a perfect group dynamic going on, all thanks to her. Thank you!!
