A tasty and informative walk
Adam was a great tour guide! He accommodated our needs and managed the COVID access restrictions without compromising this experience. My wife and I took this tour with our 2 teenage sons. Everyone left with a full belly and new insights into the history of the area. The integration of historic establishments and their staples with newer eateries helps demonstrate the evolution of the area. Well done!

Great food and fun
Mar 2020
Took this tour as a private group last Sunday. It was really easy to set up even on a day's notice through Josh. Our guide was Matt who was really knowledgable and easy going. The food stops were historical and offered delicious treats. We really got a feel for the neighborhood old and new!

Lower East side food tour Yummy !
Feb 2020
Fun day with the perfect amount of stops and great variety. Just enough walking in between stops. Great way to try a little bit from many great Lower east side spots! Katz deli was great. Wonderful tour guide Adam made the experience even better! He was friendly and knowledgeable. Great for tourists or locals that want to experience a new neighborhood.

History and delicious food!
Feb 2020
We met our group outside Shimmel's Knish and were soon ushered inside- our tour guide was friendly, knowledgable, and visited with everyone during the tour.

It was an easy amount of walking (probably 12 blocks over the course of the tour) and we enjoyed all the stops. I think they could have been a bit more generous with the food on a few of the stops (Russ & Daughter and Donuts- as both of those were literally like 2 bites each) but the pastrami at Katz was very generous (and delicious!) as was the seving at the Thai-Indian restaurant- although that food may not be as appealing to folks if they don't like ethnic food.

My teen daughter liked this tour better than another one we did- this one was a bit less history/lecture-y- but still very informative.

Very pleased we selected this tour-

We really enjoyed this which we booked through Trip Advisor. Our guide, Alec, was very knowledgeable and we went to places and tried food we would never have done on our own. I thought it was excellent value for money. Recommended.

Great Family Outing
Dec 2019
Tough to decide what to do with older kids in the city, without them complaining so gave this a try. Matt our guide was knowledgable, organized and personable. Its a legitmate 3hrs but the walking is not crazy, as after all your sticking the lower east side. Plenty of delicious food to try and Matt knew the back story of every place as well as the history of the LES. Learn a bit of history of NYC and eat, thats a winning combination. If you have kids between 13-21, this is great day out.

Awesome tour for history and delicious food!
Nov 2019 • Family
Our family group of 5 (82, 46, 45, 17, 12) all thoroughly enjoyed the Lower East Side tour. Our guide, Janet, was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtfully fielded a wide variety of questions. The food portions at each location were so generous; the entire tour was much more than lunch! We were barely hungry for a snack come dinnertime. There’s no way we could visit all of the iconic Jewish establishments within dedicating an impractical amount of time. This was perfect! I’ll be excited to place some mail orders from these food vendors upon returning home.

We had a great afternoon with Matt sampling old school eats from the famous Jewish institutions (and some dumplings too). We’ve lived in NYC our whole lives but Matt showed us spots that we didn’t know existed. I don’t normally like tours but I’d recommend this to anyone here.
