Using the GoCity Pass system can save you money, but you have to be very organised with your time, Attractions with time slots require booking ahead, be aware that in holiday season you may spend over a hour in a queue, to book a slot and then more time queuing on the day. Especially for 9/11 museum and Statue of Liberty. Don’t expect to cover more than two sites per day. Outside of peak season it’s great. BTW, don’t waste your time with HopOn HopOff bus. Dull commentary in an great city. We have been on many, and this is the worst by far.

We purchased the Go City all inclusive passes after a lot of research. We wanted to try to visit as many attractions as possible in the 5 days we had in New York with our two teenage sons. We definitely made the most of the passes, in 5 days we did the following:-
Top of the Rock, Marvel/DC Tour, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, One World Observatory, American Museum of Natural History, Madame Tussauds, bike hire Central Park, Edge and the Big Bus Tour and also our own things like Brooklyn Bridge, shopping, Flatiron etc.
This pass is definitely worth it if you are organised and know what you are planning on doing each day. We went in February half term, it wasn't really busy so we were able to change the day we booked the Statue of Liberty a few days before due to bad weather. Most we didn't need to book ahead. We managed to do 2/3 attractions a day so it worked out much more economical than doing them separately. Although you may find you do things 'just because you want to use the pass'. If you have quite a few must dos then I would say this is worth it.

Brilliant pass, our first time using anything like this, usually abroad we just book attractions separate but we heard a lot about people buying attraction passes in NYC. We got a great deal for 5 attractions with the explorer pass on Expedia uk site. Everything we needed was emailed straight away.
The app, “go city card” was so handy that we didn’t need to print off everything, at each place we just needed to open the app and have the code scanned, less hassle for us. We had no queues at each place, Top of the rock we scanned our app, got our ticket and went straight up, same for our cruise and 9/11 and the empire state building. No waiting around
We had one attraction left and wanted to use it for a bus tour but the roads where closed off for veterans day (we didn’t know prior to the trip) so we where disappointed not get to use our last attraction.
We would 100% buy these again and 100% recommend these to anyone travelling to NYC. The saved us time and money

Not a very good experience with this pass. When i first bought it in 2020 i thought i was getting a great deal, don't get me wrong you are saving money but its not half as good as what it sounds and there are way better passes out there. I panicked when I found out that our pass had expired two weeks before we were meant to go to New York ( as we had postponed our trip several times due to covid) and I immediately contacted customer service. After a couple of days i got a response saying we would get issued more up to date passes, which to be fair the company did not have to do as it was my mistake so i was delighted and that was nice of them. Initially i thought i had lots of time as i had contacted them a good two weeks before going. However the customer service is a joke. Every 3/4 days i would get a response back and it was not always from the same person. It ended up coming down to the day before and day of travel and we still had not received our passes after numerous emails at this point. Thankfully we didn't feel up to using our pass the first day. Finally the pass came through the day we needed it and we were very lucky but i found it very stressful as we did not know where we stood. Finally we had our passes and we thought we were sorted for all our attractions, how wrong we were. We ended up not being able to go to the 9/11 memorial museum because they had sold out. This pass does not allow you to reserve time slots like other passes do. This means that you have to wait in line for every attraction just like you were buying tickets from scratch. This is a huge disadvantage that we did not know about. After being disappointed about the 9/11 museum, we had to allocate some mornings to going down to the attraction itself and queuing up for time slots later in the day to prevent us from being turned away again and not being with other members of our party. Other members of our party had the city pass which was much better and they did not need to queue at all as they were able to reserve in advance. Overall you do save money on this pass but it is not clear about the whole reservation process. Better to buy a different pass, that gives you the security of knowing you don't have to spend half your holiday queuing, and that also has much better customer service.

I recently purchased Go City Pass NYC directly via their website the first issue despite installing their App my QR Ticket was not visible. I was then on hold for over 1hr 10mins before a call centre staff member answered my call. We then uninstall the app and reinstalled the app yet again and it was finally visible.
The follow day I visited The Entire State Building to find the QR Ticket on the App would not work, this was extremely embarrassing in front of hundreds of over people in the same line to get in. There were approximately 20 other groups of people experiencing the very same problem. It was only due to the kind-natured gate attendant at The Empire State Building that just allowed me in, so I did not have a completely wasted trip.
I called Go City Pass yet again and they offered no empathy, sympathy or apology for the stress caused and despite saying they would offer me compensation I've still not received a single dollar / uk pound.
It's clear Go City Pass don't value my solo traveller business.
Overall....no thanks to Go City Pass NY, my visitor experience was one to forget. I only wish I could.

So i booked the New York Explorer Pass 5 on the 23rd Dec ahead of a trip for just under $700
Firstly the 5% discount code didn't work for new customers!
Once I purchased I received an email from them to say thanks for the purchase we will email you when we have verified everything. 2 Days later still nothing....
I just called NY Go City call centre to be told that my order wasn't successful so they have issued a refund which will take 7-10 days!!! We go away on the 1st of Jan so we now have to lay the money out again!
I asked what the issue was as I want to purchase another pass... they put me on hold for a while to then tell me it was a glitch.
I wanted to be sure that the glitch was resolved and it wouldn't happen again but I just kept getting lame apology with no reassurance.
I finally got an email to confirm it had been refunded which really should have been sent before my call.
I have no confidence in buying another pass from this company or if we will actually get the refund.

I booked this after reading it could be refunded if not used within 365 days.
I have since been to New York twice and unfortunately it didn't include the things I wanted to do or things I couldn't get cheaper after research.
Have contacted them twice, a month apart asking to have a refund as I have not activated the pass within the 365 days but had no more than an automated response.
Tried using the chat feature but not working for me.
It will be a great pass for some, I had family use a 3 choice pass and enjoyed it thoroughly.
Customer service however needs sorting.

Don't expect ANY customer service absolute disgrace I have never dealt with a company like it.
I have been contacting them for over four months and they insist my passes were refunded DESPITE the fact I've produced their emails stating they would not refund but would extend. They have not sent me any proof of a refund which I've asked for multiple times.
All I want is use of the passes I purchased, friends have had theirs extended why should ours be any different.

Paid for a service I cannot use. Booked in January 2020 for a trip in July 2020 from Australia. Since March 2020 Australians are not permitted to leave Australia for tourist reasons for COVID 19 reasons. We have requested a refund since not only can we get to USA a lost of the promised attractions are not open ATM,
We have been trying to get a refund for nearly a year - without success - they offered us a extension till January 2022 but we do not know if we are able to travel and we do not wish to travel to New York in the Winter - The Australian Government has not indicated when travel bans will be lifted.
They have not and could not provide the service I paid for yet are unwilling to offer even a 50% refund.

Using this pass for New York City didn’t save much. It was only about $20 savings or so but not a dealbreaker because savings is savings. However using this pass was very convenient in terms of having one pass to enter many attractions instead of buying separately. I didn’t have any issues using this pass. It was accepted at all the locations I visited. Just a reminder that for some attractions, u cannot simply scan the pass and go right in. You’ll be guided from a worker to ticket counter to redeem. All in all, I was satisfied with the GoPass and recommend getting it.

No puedo reservar el billete de Bus a Woodbury, no me contestan a los emails y no puedo llamar desde España al numero que dan.
Como puedo reservar somos 3, dos adultos y una niña.

What would be a reasonable expectation of how much you can get done in a day using this? My girlfriend and I are gonna be in NY for 7 days so we have considered an unlimited pass but we also don’t want to be limited to just exploring attractions on this list so we’re leaning somewhere between a 5 or maybe a 10 pass but we’re just not sure with some of the most popular attractions requiring reservations and then subway travel times can we check out more than 1 or 2 things a day or should we stick with only doing 1 thing a day?

Can anyone help.. getting very confused booking things.. so ive managed to book two attractions without any hiccups 👍🏻 but when trying to book top of the rock and the edge it doesn't give me the option. Sorry for sounding like I haven't got clue what I'm doing but do we just go to the attractions in the morning to book a place for later that day or just turn up when we eat to go in ??? Many thanks in advance
Can I get off and on the bus at any stop? Am I limited to the time frame listed for each attraction or are there multiple buses that I can get off and on?

hola! me gustaria saber si es necesario hacerlo en las fechas indicadas o si es de libre elección que hacer cada dia, y como funciona el tema de las reservas....ya que e investigado que en museos y atracciones se reserva con anticipación, entonces no se como funciona esto, si el mismo dia que uno quiera va o avisa a la reserva que tiene este pass, saludos!

Bonjour, je voudrais savoir concernant le New York city explorer pass si il contient la plateformes Edge ainsi que la visite des catacombes de la cathédrale Saint Patrick ?
Car dans la description j'ai bien vu qu'il n'y était pas mais plus bas quand on veut voir les itinéraires des attractions ces deux là y sont !
Et si ils sont compris dedans faut-il réserver à l'avance et surtout comment fait-on?

Bonjour, je vois que personne ne vous a répondu, et je suis dans la même situation que vous. Je pars en avril, je souhaite prendre l'explorer pass, mais les attractions doivent être réservées à l'avance pour être certain de pouvoir les faire. Personne n'est capable de nous dire comment pouvons-nous réserver les attractions avec l'explorer pass. Avez-vous eu des réponses depuis votre question il y a 3 mois? Merci par avance
I am looking at purchasing a 7-10 attraction pass. With this I have seen single attractions that require a set time for entry (like the Statue of Liberty, the Catacombs, etc) do I have to make reservations with these areas on top of purchasing the ticket to ensure entry availability? if so, does anyone know how that works that can aid in the information Thanks in advance!!!!
