Experience up until the 9/11 museum was good, easy access to attractions. Despite advising the museum was on the pass, it wasn’t being accepted on the day we visited and we had to pay to go in, we also tried to hire bikes for Central Park for them not to be accepting the pass anymore. Despite complaining, their answer was simply ‘we don’t do partial refunds’ funny they can fulfil a partial offering but not a partial refund for services promised and not fulfilled!
Such a shame as we would have highly recommended until this point!

Unfortunately you cannot make an online reservation for any attraction if you have a city pass so when you go to an attraction you may be turned away if they are full, which happened us twice. All attractions require a reservation time but with a citypass, you have to present yourself in person to book it. On two more occasions (the one tower and the top of the rock) we had to go and come back a few hours later. It makes planning you day very difficult and stressful as you don’t know if you can get into a place or not. Also, the museums have very short opening hours so which makes it even More difficult. We could not make a reservation for the 9/11 museum and it sells out really fast, so we ended up not getting to see this at all. Had we just booked online and paid the full price, this would not have happened.
PS many attractions say you don’t need an online reservation but when you get there they will ask you for one!

Purchased 3 day day pass. Was considering new york pass but chose this one because it offered go airlink airport transfer. Was told that this was only for flex pass which the website clearly states that it is offered for day pass. Also says the same thing in sightseeing app I downloaded. Had an issue when I went to the Edge attraction. Luckily they had other issues before me so they were able to fix. The Edge staff was frustrated as well with the multiple issues. I went to FAO Schwartz and they said they stopped accepting the sightseeing pass discount. Again this perk is listed on their app as a benefit. The hop on hop off tours are misleading. It is only valid for 1 day. Some says it is valid for the amount of days u have. Unfortunately if you continue to read further down it says only valid for 1 day with the big bus company. I tried calling customer service and was on call for 25minutes and the representative said a manager would call me. Did not happen. The customer service is horrible. If you advertise something and it is written on your website then it should be honored or some kind of compensation should happen. If your website is out of date then update it. I would not recommend buying this pass for new york city.

We bought 4 passes for 4 of us 3 adults 1 child. First day we used them 3 of us got in but 4th person rejected we called the line to be told it was an issue with the Empire state.
The following day we visited 9/11 passes would not work told that the company had updated their system and had not informed the attractions. Had to pay to get in. Also tried of liberty cruise could not use them their either.
When you visit new york you have limited time so to go and be turned away is so bad.
Called to request refund as we could not use them despite wanting too. Was told I did not take out insurance so its tuff no refund. Wasted £400 felt like a scam. Was also told I could have gone to other attractions - really this company suggesting you buy the ticket and then find somewhere that takes them is a joke. Do not waste your money I am so angry feel totally scammed .

Avoid this company!!
I carefully planned my trips and balanced the cost vs paying independently. The Flex Pass came out the best option financially but the negatives started to shine through once I had paid.

You can’t pre-book attractions like you can if you book directly with companies. This is a negative if you are on a tight time schedule and want a guarantee to get in.

One of our attractions wasn’t running, so we chose something different instead, not Flex Pass fault but they should take off their website what is not running because this is false advertising.

When we booked the Empire State tour we had to pay an extra $50 on top due to the time of day (would have been better going direct to them).

Some of the extra offers like shopping discounts is false advertising because the shops just rolled their eyes when I showed them my pass.

Flex pass offered a FREE bus tour yet when I went to get on the bus after lining up for an hour, I was told it was not valid. The big bus company said they are sick of Flex Pass users being scammed like this as one lady said she gets multiple tourists like me who realise it’s a scam. We had to pay nearly $200 to get on the bus because trust me it is NOT FREE.

Flex pass will not answer any of my emails and when I called them (stood by the bus on the day crying with frustration) they just kept saying there’s nothing they can do and they will pass it on, in the end the customer service member hung up on me.

They know they lie, they don’t care at all. Please avoid, use someone else or book independently.

You’ll see in my review, the website says that you get a free hop on hop off your, in the small print it says it’s changed to a different bus company and then in the side print it says present this and it is free. But it absolutely is not free.

I planned the four days carefully and paid a lot of money for it. Unfortunately, many tours overlap in time, so that mostly only one tour per day is possible. What really upset us, however, was that the Radio City Music Hall Backstage Tour on September 13 was not yet running at all. No reference was made to this fact in the Sightseeing App. The second flop was the visit to Rise. The Sightseeing App stated on September 8 that the last admission was at 7pm. However, the gates close already at 5 pm. The last big disappointment was the cancellation of the Clipper City Tour due to technical reasons. Sightseeing cannot be directly blamed for this. However, the appointment was scheduled and we have so to speak paid for it with the sightseeing pass. We took a great free ride (without the Sightseeing Pass) on the Staten Island ferry as a substitute. I cannot recommend the Sightseeing Pass. Too much stress, too many uncertainties, too much planning effort and the savings potential is limited by the events described above. In addition, the additional reservations for the visit of MoMA and other tour have annoyed me. At the Empire State Building, we had to pay extra for the last floors. This is just one example of additional hidden fees. At least as a European tourist I felt ripped off.

We bought 3 adult passes in early March for a friends' trip to New Tork in April. The cost was 627 dollars. Within weeks of booking the passes, we found out we couldn't go because of the pandemic- our flight was cancelled and no visitors were being allowed into the US. I applied immediately for a refund and was told I wasn't entitled because I hadn't clicked the option to include insurance when I was buying them. I don't even recall seeing that option to be honest. They pointed out the pass was valid for a year and offered to extend it for a further year. I appealed to them, explaining this was a long-planned one off trip, to celebrate a birthday with friends and we don't know when or if we might be able to arrange it again. They again refused to refund my money and told me if we couldn't use the passes ourselves we could sell them to someone else. I found them to be completely unhelpful in this difficult situation and would not recommend or use them again, due to their really poor customer service.

This was a TOTAL scam! Advertised the day pass (actively today on both the app and qebsite) as including the hop on/hop off bus for the duration of our pass AND including 5 bus tours. Night tour, Brooklyn loop, and hip on /off are all Grey line which have been out of business since thr COVID shut down. I bought a 5 day pass and all 5 bus tours and hop on jop off for 5 days have been replaced with 1 single day of thr big bus tour, which only runs 10am - 4 pm. Such crap. Plus most things are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (listed in the fine print). After paying almost $300 canadian each, I would have been better off paying individually for activities don't waste your money! The additional transportation was the only reason I choose this pass over other better offerings.

They have no office, no phone that I can find, the only way to communicate is to email. Which is hard to make time for mid trip while I'm now also trying to learn the subway system since we have only 1 day of hop on/off bus. Ruined my vacation.

After searching for passes for NYC we opted for this one as it included the hop on and off bus for the duration of the pass. We bought a 5 day pass off groupon, extra discount $230 (£180) each. This meant we had to collect our passes at Port Authority on 42nd st, it was handy for us cause we were staying on 46th st and a 5min walk to PA. We only needed a 4 day pass but it was cheaper to purchase a 5day one on groupon.

I downloaded the sightseeing nyc app and used their itinerary tool to organised what attractions to do on each day, which was great cause it meant I was making the most out of the pass and not wasting time. We used 17 attractions in the 4 days, the app records this for you and the price it would have cost me each individually which said $587. So apparently I saved just over $350. I could have used the pass for the airlink nyc to the airport on the last day, but we forgot to ring to make a reservation, there’s always that option if you’ve bought an extra day. The pass didn’t include the Empire State Building, but has the one world observatory and TOTRock. We did all 3, paid separately for Empire State, it was not the best out of the 3 to be honest.

The pass also included a few lunch vouchers (Buffalo wild wings, planet Hollywood, bucas, perfect picnic, 10% off johns pizza) free food who would complain. On our 2nd day we got to hire a bike for Central Park, cycle to whole park making stops at the zoo, have a picnic and go to the national museum all on the pass. Then in the evening we got to do Madame Tussaud’s, Riplys believe it and TOTRock also all on the pass.

The bus was good for us to catch to get to the Statue of Liberty tour and the 9/11 memorial and world trade centre. We also did the night bus tour to Brooklyn. When we were there the buses were 20/30 min wait. We also spent one of the days at the outlet and this pass comes with a return ticket to Woodbury commons outlet. You have to collect your ticket at the office before you board that bus tho! If you’re into designers totally worth the trip. We also did a MSG tour which was great.

I’m not really sure how much I saved, because there’s lots of offers about, but if you’re planning to do a lot then this might be worth your while.

Scam company. Purchased two day pass and the second day it did not work at all at any attraction. Multiple calls to the company went unreturned even after they took down my number. Initially they lied saying that they were updating their system and that it would be up in less than 20 minutes. It never worked again. We had to purchase separate tickets to attractions.
