Historic Hop-On and Hop-Off Trolley Tour of Savannah
From US$32.00
Overview
If you’re planning on exploring Savannah's Historic District, book this hop-on hop-off trolley tour in advance and leave transportation to someone else. The route includes 15 stops through the area, and trolleys come to stops in 20 minutes or less. Sightsee at your own pace, setting your own itinerary, and get off to explore areas that interest you the most. Along the way, learn history from costumed actors.
What to Expect
Begin Savannah Historic District trolley tour by boarding at the city’s visitor center at 301 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Dressed in historical clothing, your on-board guide goes into great detail about the city’s history as you ride. Get off at any of the 15 stops that spark your interest, and then re-board when you’re done (with waits of 20 minutes or less). Stops are located right near highlights, meaning you won’t need to walk much.

Highlights include the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Lafayette Square; the city’s 4-block, open-air market on Bryan Street; and scenic River Street.

Since you plan your own itinerary, you choose when and where your tour ends.

Informative and fun way to see the city

Our B&B hostess suggested Old Savannah tours, as they are a local company, not any type of chain. We bought our passes after two pm (our B&B gave us a discount price) and we used it several times as tour and transit. We rode with...More

Good overview of the city

Rode trolley for the full route ( 90 minutes) before deciding on stops to make. Can hop on, hop off all day for one price. Be sure to pick up map with trolley route and stops. Drivers are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks Papa Jack

We really enjoyed the tour. Our driver, Papa Jack, was entertaining and provided historical background to the tour. Loved the character actors who would step onto the bus at various stops and tell "their story". Made the history come alive.More

Not sure. I didn’t see anyone using a wheel chair. I would call the company. They are extremely helpful.

Roughly an hour and a half to go around with out getting off. Traffic and how many others are getting on and off will influence the timing.
