Overview

Cruise the Savannah riverfront on a boat tour that fits your interests and schedule. From brunch to lunch to dinner and even sunset and sightseeing cruises, there is a cruise for every traveler. Some tours are fully narrated, while others focus on the sights as they drift by. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, as are food and drinks (included on some cruises), with a cash bar available.

What to Expect

Meet about 30 to 60 minutes before your cruise time to exchange your voucher at the Savannah Riverboat Ticket Office at 9 East River Street.

There are multiple cruise options on the Savannah River Queen available. Depending on your choice, you will embark on a lunch cruise, brunch cruise, dinner cruise, sunset cruise, sightseeing cruise, party cruise, or gospel cruise.

Once boarded, choose your seat, either heading indoors to the climate-controlled dining and observation deck, or outdoors to the upper deck for sunbathing. On most tours, you’ll hear city history and fun facts about Savannah as you float and take in the sights, although a few tours do not include narration.

Iced tea, lemonade, soft drinks, or coffee are included with all dining cruises, and some cruises feature live entertainment. All cruises include an open bar.

Your boat returns to the original departure point at the end of your cruise.

Lazy River Cruise

Took the "Georgia Queen" riverboat on the Savannah Riverboat Cruise. Gives you a nice feel of what it would be like to cruise on the Mississippi 120 years ago. But doing it nowadays, has lost a lot of its grandeur. The boat basically cruised up...More

Not enough history

People on the boat friendly and helpful. We went on the sightseeing tour only. The guide was okay. I felt there should have been more enthusiasm from the guide. The ride was a bit too long for the little bit of history covered. I would't...More

Go for the sunset cruise but skip the dinner

My wife and I were in Savannah for a wedding and added a day to celebrate our anniversary. We decided to book the sunset dinner cruise. I'm viewing this with two different lenses. The cruise itself was very enjoyable. We went in April and had...More

BORING

No scenery unless you like to see wood chips and cargo ships. We did not do the dinner cruise. The one interesting part was when we passed the old fort and a "canon" was fired. Otherwise, it was a waste of money.

I had the lunch, so can not answer for the dinner cruise. But there was baked chicken, ribs, salad bar, green beans, potatoes. It is an all you can eat. There was cobbler for dessert.

Their systems are a bit dated. You don't get the actual tickets emailed to you. So you have to exchange your confirmation for tickets at their office on River Street, which is located near the boat. We had to stand in line... More
