Highlights
See New Orleans from a different angle on a jazz brunch cruise
Steam down the Mississippi on one of the last surviving paddle-wheel ships
Hearty tableside brunch includes a variety of Southern-style classics
Live jazz trio adds to the vintage atmosphere
What to expect
Board the historic riverboat at a convenient dock near the French Quarter, and leave the bustling city streets behind as the ship paddles onto the “Mighty” Mississippi. Stroll the decks for fantastic views, and visit the museum-quality engine room for a closer look at the ship’s antique machinery. A live jazz trio keeps the mood upbeat. Head to the dining cabin for a tableside brunch loaded with savory Southern classics, such as sausage gumbo, biscuits and gravy, shrimp and grits, and scrambled eggs. Indulge in bananas Foster or bread pudding for dessert, and order a bloody mary, mimosa, or other drink from the cash bar. If you have other dining plans, a cruise-only option is also available.

Not a fan of the new boat
Jul 2021
Normally this is a lovely cruise. I don’t care for the new boatThe City of New Orleans. I prefer The Nanchetz. It was way over crowded and just kinda a waste of money this time. Booooooo.

Perhaps you prefer the NATCHEZ as more space is available on the outside decks. Everyone has their preference. It is regrettable that we did not meet your expectations on the new boat.

Sunday Cruisr
Awesome, but people were hogging chairs for their pocket books, I found that quite rude with limited seating. Got rained out but it was a pleasant experience. Book well in advance for the Sunday brunch, we were too late. Looked terrific

Put this on your bucket list!
It was an excellent experience! The boarding was well organized, staff was friendly and pleasant, tour guide (captain?) was knowledgeable and informative. Jazz band was excellent. Also, bathrooms were very clean, webbing is definitely a plus on a 2 hour cruise! We all enjoyed it, ages 6 to 63!

Great experience touring New Orleans by water!
Jul 2021 • Couples
We had a great brunch aboard the steamboat Natchez. Our service was excellent by Taylor! She was extremely accommodating and answered all our questions. Ms Gina was also wonderful while boarding with her welcoming smile and even coming around to our tables and talking to each of us. Just a great time! We would definitely do this again.

The WORST brunch cruise we've ever been on. The food was limited,, and among the offerings was creamed spinach. I request just 2 items yet they slopped a spoonful of everything even as I said no. Milton our server was awful. We sat without silverware for a long period of time. It was nearly 30 minutes before we received any. The champagne ordered was left at the table with out an offer to open it. Plates piled up. He , of course, became chatty as the check was arriving. The meal took so long there wasn't a chance to go outside. One last note. Gina, who seemed to be possibly a manager, stopped by to speak with the table next to us...at legnth. This put her backside about 12 inches from our plates! Less than appetizing.

Fun Time on the MIssissippi
May 2021
We enjoyed our brunch cruise. The buffet is served by the staff and was not as robust as I thought it would be but the food provided was good and plentiful. The meal ends with both a small portion of bread pudding and a portion of bannas foster, both were yummy.

You are welcome to return to the buffet is you want more. We felt there was plenty of food and it was good.

The boat tour included narration for 1/2 of it and a jazz band for the other 1/2.

We'd recommend for sure.

No Chance to Experience?
May 2021
Can't tell you about it because they cancelled the sailing 90 minutes before we were scheduled to depart. Supposed to be a 2:00 cruise, they e-mailed us that there was no a/c on the boat and had to cancel. Who checks e-mail in a situation like that? Couldn't send a text or phone call that close to sailing? How about the 3 hours parking fee we paid at the dock? Weather was cloudy, breezy and in mid-70's, didn't need air conditioning. Their customer service was reprehensible. No attempt to squeeze us in on a dinner cruise, so we were out of luck, along with a lot of other disgruntled customers.

Putting guests inside the boat with no air conditioning is not a comfortable situation for anyone. Out staff knows how warm the dining rooms become. We emailed as soon as we knew it could not be fixed in time. With hundreds of guests it is the fastest way to reach out to more than 200 people. Yes, we were sold out and tried to rebook people, as much as we could do.

Weekday cruise with lunch
May 2021 • Couples
My husband & I did the lunch cruise in the afternoon. $50 per person. Purchased our tickets at the cruise booth on the River the day before. We were assigned the first seating to dine. The food & service was very good. However after eating we found ourselves roaming the decks trying to find a seat outside. The were no seats outdoors at all. The boat was set up with TVs indoors if you wanted to see the jazz band that was playing on the 4th deck. However for a nice outdoor event seating was difficult. Seemed like the boat was oversold

There is seating for everyone, but not seating for every one indoors and again outdoors on a busy day. Thank you for joining us.

Never Again!
May 2021
I'm only writing this review to warn others and give an honest review. Based on their reviews you'd think this is great attraction to add to your itinerary like I did but it's a complete waste of time and money. I booked this boat ride to enjoy exactly what they said they offered: BRUNCH & JAZZ MUSIC on a steamboat. The food and drinks are my biggest issue. Firstly it was a buffet style breakfast. They served us an almost flavorless gumbo, an egg quiche that tastes like wet elementary school breakfast, french toast that was so hard it might as well be TOAST, mushy egg tasting bread pudding, a a so called banana foster which was just vanilla ice cream with hot bananas on top. The drinks taste like sugary syrup, if I order liquor I should most definitely taste it in my drink. They barely have seating to actually enjoy the Mississippi River view on the steamboat. As for the band, I heard better musicians on Bourbon St. than this so called jazz band's noise. Overall this doesn't even deserve 1 STAR.

What can we say as we were unable to please you on any level and that is disappointing. Perhaps we were not the best selection for your party.
