Overview
See Victoria, British Columbia on a full-day trip from Seattle aboard the Victoria Clipper, a passenger-only ferry that follows a scenic route through the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. In taking to water, you avoid the long drive to Canada and have time to explore Victoria’s historic downtown, harbor, and gardens before the return trip to Seattle, traveling on a boat with comfortable seats, a cafe, and duty-free shops.
What to Expect

Make your way to Seattle’s Pier 69 for an early morning departure, bringing your US passport, passport card, enhanced driver’s license, or enhanced ID card for arrival in Canada.

Settle into a comfortable seat, and enjoy views of the Puget Sound as you cruise to Vancouver Island, watching for whales, seals, and birds along the way. There’s a duty-free shop on board, as well as cafes and outdoor viewing decks. Upon arrival in Victoria’s Inner Harbour, set out for a day of exploring the historic city, the capital of British Columbia, on your own.

You might browse downtown shops, visit the Empress Hotel for high tea, or make your way to the sprawling Butchart Gardens just outside of town.

At the end of the day, return to the Inner Harbour for the trip back to Seattle, enjoying late evening light as you retrace a path through the San Juan Islands.

Nice but . . .

Try to go for more than a day. By the time you have to get to the clipper for customs, you really only have about 4.5 hours in Victoria. Take the local bus and you'll save $$$. The ferry was nice and clean and the...More

Viator is a horrible company

FYI-When I booked a tour with Viator my confirmation e-mail stated that if canceled within 7 days it was 100% refundable. When I canceled within 7 days they then proceeded to tell me it was not refundable. The manager admitted that the e-mail confirmation was...More

Low rating for the experience with the site

We thought we were booking the Butchart Garden experience only to discover that we were misled and booked only the ferry. We then had to book the Butchart Garden separately and ended up paying more than the combined price on ClipperVacations Or Viator sites. Also...More

Why the heck is it so expensive?

If I had a way to get to Port Angeles and take the ferry to Vicotria from there I would. (tickets from there are $37 a person). There are flights cheaper than this.More

Hi there, we're disappointed to hear that we haven't been able to meet your expectations. One thing we are able to offer our customers is the convenience of downtown to downtown travel, straight from the Seattle waterfront into Victoria's Inner Harbour. That said, thank you...More

Great way to see Victoria!

The Victoria Clipper was a delightful experience! I checked in on-line, went to the port, and boarded with no difficulty. Because it is an international journey, it isn't a speedy boarding process but the crew is very helpful and accommodating. Once aboard, everything was clean...More

There are actually two different documents you can use to travel to and from Canada. If you live here in WA state you can get an enhanced driver's license. This will allow you into Canada and back into the U.S. But if you... More
