Amazing early autumn day at Mt Rainier
Sep 2021
This was one of the best day trips I've had in a while! Lucinda was wonderful! We stopped to pick up sandwiches for lunch and the sandwich was soooooo good! It didn't hurt that we had an incredible weather day and the autumn colors were sparkling. Mt Rainier park is very impressive and a must see when in Seattle. Thanks Tours Northwest!!

Wonderful Mt. Rainier Tour
Oct 2021
My husband & I took the Mt Rainier Tour on October 3, 2021. Prior to tour date Tours Northwest confirmed they'd be picking us up in front of our hotel, and they were right on time. Our guide and driver was "Lucinda", and she was excellent in every resepect. It is about 2 hours from Seattle to Mt Rainier. There were 19 on the bus, which was very comfortable. On the way to the park there was a stop at a grocery store that had a good deli. You could purchase grab and go, or have sandwiches made to order. Ample time was given to get lunches, coffee, and use the restrooms. (and in case you are wondering, there were plenty of stops during the course of the day for bathroom breaks, which we appreciated, since this is a ten hour tour) A cooler with ice was provided, along with a "sharpie pen" so we could write our names on our sandwiches and keep them cold until we were ready to eat. (you are allowed to eat on the bus if you want to, and bottled water was also provided)

Lucinda was very informative, explaining some of the history of the park, geology of what we were seeing, etc. She also provided a useful brochure/map to everyone so we could track our route. Once in the park we made several stops where we could either walk on our own, or along with others in the group. The walks were never too long or too difficult, and plenty of time was allowed. There were also several shorter stops for photos aat scenic spots in the park. My husband and I never felt rushed, and we know we saw a lot more of the park than we would have if we had been there on our own. When we returned to Seattle around 5pm everyone was dropped off at their hotels. This may seem like a more expensive tour option than other companies offer, but it is WELL worth the money. My husband and I ony had 2 days in Seattle, following a cruise, and we are very glad we chose to spend one of them with Tours Northwest. I highly recommend this particular tour, and Tours Northwest. PS) Covide safety protocols were followed at all times, masks were required while on the bus.

Wonderful Scenic Experience
The tour guide, Ken, provided an awesome experience and flawless transportation. We reached our destinations on time and he provided conversation that was enlightening and humorous. He provided multiple bathroom breaks which was much appreciated. I am recommending this group to some friends.

Nice day trip but not many views of Mt Rainer
Sep 2021
We had a 6:50 a.m. pick up from our downtown Seattle hotel. Our driver and guide was Andreas. He was quite good with a great attitude and very knowledgeable. I do wish he was more assertive with a couple of the passengers on the shuttle who repeatedly were late returning from stops--this led everyone to have to sit on the shuttle in a contained space, not what you want to be doing in a pandemic. We did not see a lot of Mt. Rainer due to the cloudy weather, but the rest of the National Park was nice. We got back to our hotel at 5:30 p.m. so it was a bit more than ten hours--if we didn't wait an extra 20 minutes at some stops it might have been earlier.

Mt. Rainier - Must do!
The entire day was incredible and made more so by our engaged, knowledgeable, friendly, and energetic tour guide, Andreas.

I loved that we got time to be on our own and hike as well as taken to the best spots to see and get photos. It was worth every penny!

Thank you so much!

This was just an incredible experience with perfect weather to go along with it. Mark was a great guide, with a deep knowledge and a great personality. I would recommend this tour to anyone

One small note is you don't spend as much time walking around on trails as you'd think, but it was still plenty enough for me, in my opinion.

I did go solo, but the group of 18 or so with me, I still engaged with a lot of fun conversation and everyone was very warm and friendly. Don't skip this trip just because you are solo
