Overview
Explore the Grand Canyon National Park on this day tour from Flagstaff. You'll tour in comfort as your guide teaches you about the geology and history of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Hotel pickup, drop-off, entrance fees, lunch, bottled water and snacks are all included.
Highlights
  • Visit several points along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon
  • See Native American ruins and a Navajo trading post (optional)
  • Get close views of landmarks and wildlife through a telescope
  • Learn about local history, geology, and Native American heritage
What to Expect
Get an early start with morning pickup from your Flagstaff hotel. Relax during the approximately hour-long drive to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, where your guide introduces you to the geology and history of this natural wonder. Expect to make between six to eight stops along the South Rim with short optional walks to less-visited outlooks with Grand Canyon views. Your guide shares informative commentary throughout the day, and provides a telescope that can zoom in on the Colorado River to see wildlife and colorful rock formations. See historical buildings including the Desert View Watchtower and El Tovar Lodge, and then stop at Native American ruins for a picnic lunch. Depart the national park by traveling east towards Navajo land, with the option to stop at a Navajo trading post. Your tour ends with drop-off at your Flagstaff hotel, leaving time for you to spend your evening in town.

The Grand Canyon day tour was perfect for my daughter and I. Our tour guide Marcia Burns. She was amazing, very knowledgeable and provided a wonderful mix of facts, humor and engagement with the guest. Great times and perfect pictures.

I’m pretty sure I was asked if I had dietary requests such as gluten free. I would call and ask if they’d pick you up. One of the guests in our van was at a VRB and they picked them up.
