We so enjoyed being welcomed into Kingston and Patricia's lovely home to cook up a storm. First, though, we strolled around a local market and had a delicious breakfast. The cooking class was fun and relaxed and we were joined by Kaya and Emma who helped prep. We learned new techniques and by the time we sat down to eat our lunch felt like we'd made new friends. Oh and the food was fantastic! We highly recommend this cooking class as a family it was super memorable.

We had a brilliant time with Pat, Kingston and their lovely daughters! Our trip started at the Market, where Kingston showed us around and helped us understand some unique Malaysian ingredients. We then went on to a second market where we had a very tasty breakfast of dosai, roti canai and apom. After we were full, we headed back to meet Pat and the family and our cooking class began! We made blue rice, pongteh chicken, an aubergine sambal, ondeh ondeh for dessert and pulled some tea. The entire family were very warm, friendly, and keen to chat, and the food was beautiful. We had plenty of space and time to cook, and I came away feeling I'd learnt a lot about a whole new world of cookery and spent quality time with new friends. Thank you so much for a very memorable last day in Malaysia!

Thank you Cat! I'm so pleased to know you had a good experience with us. The whole family enjoyed your company as well. I hope you will find time to cook some sambal and pull some tea for your family and friends. Hugs from Pat, King, Emma and Kayla

Patricia and Kingston were exemplary hosts and instructors, guiding me and my friends patiently (and with good humour!) through the multitude of steps involved in making classic Malaysian dishes like roti jala, chicken curry and ondeh-ondeh.

They opened their homes to us with great warmth and kindness, and we ended the four-hour long session by having lunch with them and their lovely children.

If you're looking for a unique experience away from the normal tourist hotspots, interested in recreating some delicious local dishes after your return home and making some genuine Malaysian friendships, this is definitely the experience for you.

This was so much fun and SO DELICIOUS!! I went with my brother and we had so much fun. I learned so much about culture and food through this class and loved getting to see a typical market. The breakfast there was good and definitely recommend getting some teh tarik! We chose to make Nasi Lemak, cucumber & pineapple salad, and ondeh-ondeh for dessert and it was all amazing. Patricia and Winston were amazing hosts and instructors - I definitely feel like I can go home and make it myself now. Their daughters were wonderful as well and we definitely enjoyed spending our morning with the family, sharing in fellowship and food.

This experience stands out amongst the best I've ever had on my travels! Pat and Kingston were the most welcoming, generous hosts. Our group learned so much from them and enjoyed every minute we spent as their guests.

First, we spent some time in the morning at a local market, where we got breakfast, tea, and learned more about local Malaysian produce and cuisine. From there, we returned to their lovely home and kitchen, where we made a delicious spread of food that I can't wait to make again when I'm back home.

I cannot recommend this experience enough to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur! Consider this a must-do.

A truly unique and amazing experience. Patricia provided me with so much more than a cooking class. It was a great insight into everyday living of Malaysians. We started by touring a local market and having a typical breakfast there. We later went to her home where we cooked a traditional Malaysian meal with the help of her daughters and mother-in-law. The dishes cooked were simple, but delicious and easily can be recreated at home. The lack of presence on Google had me a bit concerned, but my reservations were completely gone upon meeting Patricia and her family. I need to reiterate that this more than a cooking class. It was an intimate glimpse into the lives of a Malaysian family. Highly recommended.

This was the perfect way to end a Malaysian adventure!
Kingston and Patricia were the perfect hosts!!!! Walking through the local market and Kingston was full of information about all things Malaysian.
Having breakfast with the family within the market was a treat before heading back to their beautiful home to start making, what ended up being a delicious meal lead and instructed by Patricia.
The day was full of lots of laughs and smiles.
An amazing memory that'll always be remembered when reminiscing about Malaysia.

So I spent a few days in KL and got to do some amazing tours sightseeing and eating, with the latter being the most enjoyable part for me as the food in Malaysia is absolutely delicious and so diverse. This is why I will say that having had the opportunity to cook and eat with the wonderful Malaysian family that hosted me in their beautiful home was the highlight of my trip! Besides cooking and eating together, we got to learn about each other’s cultures and exchange ideas and philosophies about culture, food and society which made the whole experience that much more enthralling. Thank you Kingston for curating this awesome experience which I highly recommend. See you guys next time I’m in Malaysia! ✌🏾
